Shape Puzzle is an award-winning educational game designed to help toddlers develop fine motor skills and cognitive recognition. Featuring a variety of themes like animals, transport, and food, children drag and drop colorful pieces into their corresponding silhouettes. Each completed puzzle is rewarded with celebratory sounds and the spoken name of the object, reinforcing vocabulary and positive learning habits.

Our Expert Score

82/100

This is a staple app for anyone with a toddler. It mimics the classic wooden peg puzzles we all grew up with but adds the benefit of interactive sounds and clear vocalizations. The art style is consistent and warm, which keeps children engaged without overstimulating them.

The UI is clearly built with small hands in mind; the 'hitboxes' for the puzzles are generous, reducing the frustration that often comes with less polished kids' apps. I particularly like the audio reinforcement—hearing 'Elephant!' after finishing a puzzle helps bridge the gap between a digital shape and real-world knowledge.

While it’s a simple concept, the variety of themes keeps it fresh. It’s a reliable, wholesome tool for early development that I frequently recommend to other parents looking for high-quality screen time.

Great childrens app

This app is so perfect for my almost three year old. I love how it says the item after you complete it to help him learn new words and say them clearly. It also got him interested in doing real puzzles which is an added bonus. My four year old loves to change the language and learn some new words in Spanish. It makes her feel so smart. My only negative is I don't like the help button, I call it the cheat button in our house. Being on every page makes it so easy for a child to give up more easily rather than trying to figure it out.

Planets are wrong

My lil 3 year old was playing this app while I was reading and informed me that Venus and Mars were wrong on the solar system puzzle. I looked over to correct him only to discover he was right. They are swapped. He has loved planets since he was 1 and now he will only open this app to go to the solar system puzzle so he can ask me why they are wrong. Oh well.......overall a good app tho.

So addictive to my 25 month old son! Just 1 request?!

My son loves your app!! I love the fact that he is happy about it...! He reaally plays it very well! I just have 1 request pls?? Could you please add a setting to disable the " auto-builder " button - the top right pne on each puzzle. My son does not really use it all the time but Ive seen him just quickly using it and I'd like to control that function. I would really appreciate that! ;-)

good but has an easy cheat button

This app is very very nice but could be a great puzzle-learning game if the developer would allow us to hide the "plus" button from our children. Once my daughter realized that she just has to hit the plus button to complete the puzzle she's never done any of the puzzles herself since then. She just hits the plus button to complete every puzzle. Developer, if you would let me hide that button in the settings, this rating would be changed to five stars for sure.

Loved it

I love this app!! I loved forever for an app for my 2 1/2 year old that he actually enjoyed for more than a minute. He will play this forever and it teaches him many skills at the same time. The sound did not activate until we bought the full version and even then it took a couple puzzles for it to activate but he didn't seem to mind,

Glorified flash cards

Not bad, but not what i expected either. Pros: language support. Many scenes to choose from and each with several scenes. Appealing to 2-4 year old. Picture quality good. Cons: bad word choice. Sometimes out of date, sometimes incomplete, and sometimes just plain wrong. Not sure if i would venture into other languages. Also, don't wait for something to happen, nothing will. Not super intuitive even if simple.

Daughter loves it

I think it is helping my child with her memory. She is making improvements in word memory also using the proper nouns as well as pronouncing words better even words that aren't used in the app. Recommend very low cost for a great "Puzzle Game" as my daughter refers to it.

Nice

I downloaded the free version and my son loved it so I just bought the full version. PROBLEM: why is there no voice on the full version? We still hear the sounds but the voice that tells you the name of the completed puzzle can't be heard. I've already been through the settings and my phone to figure out the problem and I still don't understand it.
