Great game when you have some time to waste!

First off, I LOVE THIS GAME! It is addicting, and a great time occupier when there is slack time. I enjoy the multiple boards, but I generally play the standard configuration. I was having a problem where, in the middle of a game, the end tiles would not be available for matching. Additionally, tiles in the MIDDLE of a row would become available!! I thought it was some update error, and I contacted the developers. They IMMEDIATELY responded that I may have been in 'Windstorm' mode (I was) and, once fixed, everything went back to normal. Kudos on the quick response! Update December 2016-- I still play and love this game, but I have noticed that the 'Dragon' board repeats the same boards after playing about 10 of them!! This is disheartening; as the boards no longer seem random. I am using IOS 10.x (now 10.2) on all my iPads and iPhones, but no joy. Update September 2017-- Thank you Thank you for updating this app so it is compatible with future iOS releases!!

Just what I wanted

This game has everything: quality design, no ads, no bugs, a variety of backgrounds and tiles and just enough help to get you on track if you know nothing about Mahjong. I tried a few other versions before I found this one. I play it on my iPad - I think it would be too small for me on my phone. I’d pay a bit for an additional set of tile styles. I prefer the styles where the three main suits are distinguishable, like the traditional and icona ones, not just random. I was surprised to see how much changing the tile style changes how you think during the game. Thanks for a great app.

Best Mahjong App!

Several months ago I was upset to get a notice on my iPhone 6s when I opened this app that it was not going to be considered compatible with the upcoming iOS 11 upgrade. So glad the developers finally fixed that problem, as I play this game at least several times a week. I've tried them all! This mahjong app has the best interface. Easy to use, beautiful tile designs, from clean, simple, traditional backgrounds to the more exotic or playful, and limitless variations of tile layouts. I've used the paid version for years and it's just gotten better over time. Thanks, developers!

Thanks! In the nick of time!

I had decided not to do the next iOS update on my iPad until you put out an updated version of this app. I was going to update my iPhone only! I couldn't bear to completely lose this game! I'm so grateful I won't have to make that decision! The only thing I regret is that I deleted the statistics without checking to see how many hundreds (thousands?) of games I've played played since downloading this app 5-6 yea s ago (or whenever it first came out). I didn't even mind paying $1.99! It's worth every penny!

Worth Searching For.

I love this game. I have other versions of Mahjongg Solitaire, but Shanghai Lite’s lack of time clock and the cookie fortunes when you win, keep me coming back for more games. (Hey, if you’ve never seen the droll fortunes this gave serves up to its winners, it’s worth the purchase price just for that! And now, they’re unbidden by pop up frames.) I was disappointed when I bought a new iPad and the iOS 11 version of this game didn’t download with the other apps, so a few weeks later I searched and managed to find it. Hooray!

I was disappointed that the developers did not upgrade the Lite version of Shanghai, because that was a quick game. However, I went ahead and started using this complete version. I must say, I like it a lot. Works great. So glad that this one was upgraded to 64-bit. I have tried other Ma Jong games on this and other platforms. This one is my favorite. Well, I did like the one on OS/2, but that platform is kaput along with all its apps.

Best game

Thanks for the update. I had purchased a new iPad to keep this game when next iOS update is available. I have had the game forever and play it everyday. If you're looking for Mahjong, look no further. This is the best. Updated April, 2021: I have played this game for years and love it. I am enjoying all the new set ups. They are a good add. Thank you again for the updates!

One my three favorite apps

Anytime I have a moment between tasks, I find myself playing this version of Mahjong. I love the three fortunes after a game; it reminds me of the classic Burning Monkey games for Mac. The tile sets are nice, especially the classic tiles. The update cones just in time. I haven't liked other Mahjong solitaire games. This is the classic, the one I've enjoyed for years. Thank goodness for the update.
