Our Expert Score

91/100

FreeCell: Card Game by MobilityWare is arguably the best mobile implementation of this strategic solitaire variant. While Klondike relies partly on luck, FreeCell is almost entirely a game of skill, and this app provides the perfect tools to master it. The 'Goal Progression' system is a brilliant addition, giving players daily objectives that lead to XP and exclusive titles, which adds a sense of RPG-like growth to a classic game.

The interface is exceptionally thoughtful. Features like 'Highlight Moveable Cards' and 'Step-by-Step Tutorials' make it accessible for newcomers, while the '1 million well-known games' ensures that veterans will never run out of challenges. The ability to track personal best scores and historical win rates across millions of numbered deals makes it a data-lover's dream. It’s polished, reliable, and perfectly suited for both quick sessions and deep, strategic play.

Freecell

Love the ‘no ads’ feature! Simple interface, 1 or 2 taps and you are playing. Absolutely worth $0.99 Needs a few simple fixes to be 5 stars: 1. In landscape mode, can’t move cards from ‘FreeCells’ on my iphone11... works fine in portrait mode. 2. A few more options (e.g. change locations of freecell and homecell positions in landscape.) Keep up the good work!

Really, there are no ads

I really appreciate this free cell solitaire. So tiresome on other apps to be forced to pay up or watch ads for several minutes at a time for match games. Ugh! I refuse to patronize those. If you don’t need to play against others (I don’t) this is a great choice. No ads here. No bells or whistles. Just the game with 3 levels of difficulty. I took off one star because the “?” when you’re stuck will tell you to move where it isn’t possible or to move cards in a way that still leaves you stuck. They need a “no more moves” answer like others. Thanks for this free and great way to destress and exercise the brain.

Excellent Game

Doesn't have all the useless bells and whistles the ad supported versions I've played had but this one is much better. Ad supported game I used to have always dealt easy hands; this one is actually more challenging and fun.

Great

Fantastic alternative to other free cell apps that are so ad heavy. Only suggestion would be to change up the design of the cards. sometimes it’s hard to read.

Just pure Freecell

This is the one. No added bells or whistles, just straight Freecell. Works reliably, like a hose (simple, straight forward.) Just the way I want.

I have YET to start a new game without completing the one I am playing but stats always show that Zi played more games than I have, even tho I generally win and complete my games; my scores are always lower than what I keep tract of-why is that? Also-there are NO instructions for this game-I had to teach the game to myself- Other than that/I like the challenge-it keeps me engaged.

Parcell, Not Freecell

I’m all for people being able to sell their work, and that includes apps. I don’t like to download what, from all appearances is a free app, only to find out that the first games ONLY are free, sort of like a drug dealer giving a sample to get you hooked. I might have paid for this if it had been upfront about the charge. Deleted.

Bugs seem to prevent legal moves

This game looks nice, but there seems to be bugs that are preventing legal moves. When hitting the suggesting button the moves are shown, but not allowed to actually make the move. This might be part of the difficulty setting, but without help/instructions it’s hard to say.
