A lot of new game content and gameplay have been added.
Sword of Justice is a punchy, visceral action RPG that manages to bring 'Soulslike' precision to a mobile format. The combat is the star here; it’s not just button mashing. You really have to respect the enemy's attack patterns, time your dodges, and look for those tiny windows of opportunity to strike. The feedback when you land a heavy blow or a perfect parry is fantastic, with just the right amount of screen shake and audio punch.
The progression system is deep without being overwhelming. The ability to craft specific gear sets to counter different boss types (like fire-resistant armor for the Dragon King) adds a layer of preparation that I really enjoyed. Visually, the game punches above its weight class with impressive lighting effects and detailed character models. It’s a serious game for fans of the genre who want a 'proper' RPG experience on their phone.
Precision-Based Combat System
Epic 3D Boss Battles
Vast Skill and Talent Trees
Full Gamepad Support
Don't exhaust your stamina on a single combo. Always save a sliver of the bar for an emergency dodge. An empty stamina bar leaves you 'Stunned' and vulnerable to a boss's critical hit.
Collect 'Essence' from fallen bosses to infuse your weapons. Infusing a weapon with 'Frost' has a chance to slow enemy attack animations, making parries much easier.
Yes, there is an Arena mode where you can test your skills against other players' characters in AI-controlled duels.
I love the ability to fly around and explore but the game is literally so structured it’s more like reading a story than playing a game. The stories are beautiful but it’s so passive and it just keeps going and going. I find my frustration level rising as there is so little to actually do other than fly from quest to quest — which are not really quests but guided stories. Also, it is not a true open world as you are often boxed off. I wish there was a bit more game. I find the level of control to be stifling, for instance I’ve been level 69 for weeks and it looks like most others who play regularly are there too. I wish the manor had more of a purpose, designing is fun for a while but without a purpose it gets old. Also filling your house with stuff is not easy given that you don’t enter your house as you do in most games. I got bored. I think a lot of the text in quests is so long — the stories are nice but after a while I got frustrated and tapped through it quickly.
The only thing I’ll ding about this game is the controller support. It’s hard to perform complex move on my mobile screen. I either hit the wrong button or miss it entirely. But I love how we can customize characters, socialize with the npc, explore the world, and story content. I’m not running out of things to do. As for playing with other player I’m more of a lone type. Probably due to age and pairing up with someone who may be a decade or two younger makes me just play by myself due to their couple system. I rather couple with an npc for legal reason and two I don’t have to worry about my partner going missing or quitting the game. Oh and I like the fact I don’t have to buy gear to compete with other players or other player being too over powered and dominating the world because at that point I just quit.
Ever since I got this M4 iPad Pro, I've used it like a computer: external monitor, docking station, keyboard and mouse, etc. I love MMORPG's but almost NONE have proper controls, and expect you to pick up the device and claw at the screen with your thumbs. The ones that have proper controller or keyboard/mouse controls are low quality. The ones that might have ok quality have no controls and no storyline. ENTER SWORD OF JUSTICE!! Not only does this game deliver on beautiful graphics, real-time ray tracing, and looks gorgeous on a large external monitor, but it ALSO has keyboard/mouse support and it's FULLY SUPPORTED!!! I couldn't ask for a better game. The cherry on top is in the last year I've started watching donghua Chinese shows, and this fits the cultivation themed shows I love to the T. Honestly what a brilliant game!! You can tell the developers worked hard to make this a GREAT game :) My only hope is other developers learn from this studio, do it EXACTLY LIKE THIS!!!!
I never write reviews. I’ve been looking for a MMORPG to play on mobile like this for awhile now. Netease always does a wonderful job releasing games that feel complete. I understand that this game has been out for awhile now over east but the global launch was flawless for me. No crashes, no hiccups, no nonsense. It’s nice to have a game that isn’t p2w. This game offers everything I’ve wanted. Questing, fair based PvP that is actually interactive and fun, and most importantly an open world experience that allows you to explore and have a truly interactive experience. The movement is fantastic. And although there is autopathing for some quests there is no auto fights and the customization of the build of the player is entirely up to them. Pve is fantastic as well. The games dialogue from the story line is intuitive and it feels like the “npcs” respond to how you respond. It’s day one for me because I’m in NA but I’m looking forward to future content. To the team at Netease thank you. I’ve been playing destiny rising religiously for two weeks now and that game is equally as good (just different genres). Thank you for taking your time releasing this game as a complete package. (Btw the cosmetic team needs a raise, lol)
Okay, let me start with the good. So far, the game is pretty fun and engaging, with you having to explore to unlock dialogue options, and there is a good bit of game mechanics in the open world. The gliding/jumping thing is a bit confusing, but that might just be a skill issue. The character designs are great, and the character customization is very good. Now, one problem i have is the game crashes, which might just be me, idk, but its very annoying. But my main problem is the subtitles. In some scenes (such as cutscenes) there are no subtitles for what the character says which is annoying since I can’t understand what they’re saying. There have also been some errors with the translations.
It’s beautiful in terms of graphics and character customization but in terms of combat and open world mechanics it lacks that spark heavily it’s not entirely a bad game but just poorly launched and had poor mechanics it is also very daunting at start you kinda know what to do but doesn’t really give you freedom to do thinks restricts areas with invisible walls and doesn’t thoroughly explain what to do next due to the text being so dang small the UI is a clunky mess and you have tons of buttons trying to figure out which one to try next is not an easy task again great graphics great customization but terrible game mechanics combat also feels janky
Lots of bugs, which I’m sure they’ll fix over time. Cutscenes sometimes stop and need to be restarted, sometimes take a while to start. Maybe just issues because the game just came out. I couldn’t really follow the story, and it wasn’t interesting to me, so I started skipping cutscenes, and people in chat were complaining about not understanding the story. There are WAY too many buttons on the screen. Why do I need so many different forms of attack right from the start? Quest indicators don’t always show up, and sometimes show the wrong location. I ended up playing for only about 10 to 15 minutes before uninstalling. It’s just another story-heavy, tap the quest to auto move game, like so many others out there.
The game is genuinely fun. The character creation is enjoyable. The dialogue is fun and dependent on little decisions you wouldn’t think would be important, the story is interesting, and the cutscenes are lovely. The outfits are pretty, the mini games fun, and there are new functions I’ve never seen before in a game like the Npcs randomly engaging with you. However, some animations are choppy, the UI is meh, etc. Just a lot of fine tuning things that feel like never got done. The English translation is poor. Hopefully it will improve with updates!
