Roadside Empire: Gas Station is a satisfying management sim that taps into the 'fixer-upper' fantasy. Starting with a derelict station in the middle of nowhere and slowly turning it into a thriving highway oasis provides a very tangible sense of progress. The game balances several different micro-tasks—pumping gas, cleaning toilets, and stocking shelves—which keeps the gameplay loop from becoming too stagnant. It’s a game about efficiency and multitasking.
While the graphics are somewhat standard for the 'Empire' genre, the physics-based interactions add a nice touch. Actually aiming the gas nozzle or throwing trash into the bin makes the experience feel more grounded than a simple menu-based clicker. There is a certain 'zen' to the repetitive tasks, and the constant flow of customers ensures you're always planning your next upgrade. It’s a solid time-sink for fans of tycoon games who want a bit more 'hands-on' work in their simulation.
Hands-on pumping and cleaning mechanics
Detailed business upgrade and expansion system
Dynamic day/night cycle and weather effects
Staff management and custom station branding
Customer satisfaction is heavily tied to the cleanliness of your station. If the floor is dirty or the trash is full, customers will pay less and leave bad reviews. Spend your early money on a reliable janitor to keep your ratings high.
Don't just stock one type of item. Check your 'Popularity' tab in the shop menu to see what travelers are craving. High-demand items can be sold at a premium markup if you time your orders correctly.
You must order fuel trucks in advance! Keep an eye on your tank levels; if you run dry, you'll lose valuable customers while waiting for the delivery.
All these people complaining about how much they spent on one of the areas it’s a game you go to different locations trying to rebuild of what the person your after destroyed the only thing bad about the game is that you have the little maps you can do with the monster trucks but can’t ever get first second or third bc there is always someone somehow finishing in less than or a little over a minute and then you have people like me that it takes roughly 15 to 25 minutes to complete them bc you have to constantly watch adds to get the money faster from that person that pops up and it just makes the little games pointless to even play and then even the daily thing that pops up that gives you the weird pink star thing to click activate on it and you have people like me that it takes sometimes a day to do bc there’s 14 challenges to do and you have people somehow completing them in 15 minutes to roughly an 1 which makes no sense I think you should make it where if you pay things with irl money you get challenges with those people and the people that don’t spend irl money they get matched up with those people or those peoples that is usually making it first second and third with less than an hour is cheating which when you download it game it makes you agree to this thing that talks about cheating will not be accepted in this game or any of there games
Really like this game would really give it a 4.5 the only thing I would change is that sometimes when you get more spots open the at certain area there’s not enough space for cars to come in and out of so they sit and wait so you don’t get to make as much money as fast. Also for the monster truck levels it would cooler if they were a little bit different each time there a little to repetitive but still really like the game and can’t wait for more levels!
The game is repetitive. Every level is basically the same. This is nothing more than a money grab. It’s drawn out so long that it preys on people who have compulsive disorders or attention disorders who don’t have the patience to watch as the cars slowly go to each station sit there for several seconds then leave. Graphics are simplistic and not much better than 80s video games. It is also one big ad. To gain money or gems of any moderate amount you need to watch ads or pay. To accomplish some of the tasks in secondary games you have to watch ads. One requires 14 views just to get a small amount of coins. This is nothing more than another game that preys on those with addiction and mental health issues to gain money. Or children who will take mom or dad credit /debit card and buy hundreds of dollars of gems. We have all heard the stories.
If you like to download an app where you get to watch endless commercials, well this one is for you. The games premise had promise, but in no time I was very disappointed. You start a gas station, wait for it to make money so you can spend it on the gas station, so it can make money, so you can spend it on the gas station, wait to make money so you can… Get the picture, oh oh wait, I forgot to mention the endless onslaught of commercials. In fact it seems to watch more commercials than actual playtime with the app. Seriously, you are watching endless commercials throughout. I gave this thing a chance and played into the third round, that’s a few hours that I’ll never get back. I cannot believe this app had so many positive reviews unless they were planted. I highly recommend giving this one a pass and do something more productive with your time like brush out your dog. You’ll have more fun.
I’ve been obsessively playing this game since I downloaded it (October 7th, to be exact, so 19 days now). It’s fun, creative, and genuinely one of the most enjoyable mobile games I’ve tried in a long time. Unfortunately, California has made it impossible to keep playing — and I’m ready to give up. Yesterday I made it to the “Final Preparations” step, but I had to go through it without a single automated character because I simply can’t get enough bourbon to level anyone up. Every time I finally gather enough (we’re talking thousands of bourbon), I upgrade a building and—poof!—there goes my hard-earned automation. At this point, it feels like the only way forward is to pay to win, which is super disappointing. I even stretched my budget to remove the ads because I enjoyed the game that much. But now I’m stuck relying on expeditions to earn bourbon, and since those are limited to five per day, I can’t really progress even when I want to play. In short: I love the game, but the resource system is making it impossibly unattainable instead of the fun escape it started as.
The most recent update completely ruined the game. Now we have “cards” that we assign to each station. They don’t “auto collect” unless you update the cards which is next to impossible. Also, your stations no longer collect enough money to advance you. You now have to rely on a radar gun or an alien ship to boost your income. Both have a cooldown period. I used to play this game for up to 30 minutes at a time but now I only play for a few minutes so the cooldowns can finish. Even the little guy who appears every few minutes to give you a boost doesn’t even make a dent now. It takes forever to go through a round. One year ago, this was a fun game, now, it’s a disaster. Just no fun anymore. Regretfully, I deleted the game.
I don’t think anyone is building this game further. What a waste of time and money, the game practically repeats after level 6. I am at level 14 and it’s just repeating, nothing new that comes in after level 6. Even the graphics, images they simply repeat, no effort put in. Not worth it. Definitely not worth buying their No Ads bundle. I will however give them 1 extra star (that’s why 2 stars), their No Ads bundle brings in Value, it completely removes Ads even from bonuses, surprises, multiplier… why is probably why it’s expensive than others, but great add-on. Overall, I would avoid this game; same time & money
I give it three stars because honestly, I like the game but what I don’t like is how a developers have to be so greedy. The only ad removal option you have is included with the big boss pass that’s $24. Ridiculous. I will never pay it. you people are you create a free game but look like you do I will stick with the ads or just play it without Internet and if you fix it to where I have to have Internet I will give it one star and delete the game I would have gave it five stars if I could have removed the ads cheaper than $24 ridiculous you guys
