Hi Jigsaw players,
This update includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
Thank you for playing our puzzle game!
Puzzle Games: Jigsaw Puzzles is exactly what you want from a digital jigsaw app—a massive, high-quality library of images and a user interface that stays out of your way. The variety of categories is impressive, ranging from lush nature photography to fine art and cute animals. It’s the perfect 'chill' game to play while listening to a podcast or relaxing at the end of the day.
What makes this app stand out is the flexibility it offers. You can choose your difficulty by adjusting the number of pieces (up to 400), and even turn on 'rotation mode' for an extra challenge. The ability to create puzzles from your own photos is a fantastic touch that adds a personal element to the experience. It’s a very polished, well-maintained app that understands exactly why people love jigsaws: the simple, meditative satisfaction of seeing a picture come together piece by piece.
Thousands of free HD images
Adjustable difficulty (up to 400 pieces)
Create puzzles from personal photos
Daily new free puzzles
Use the 'Border' mode to focus on edge pieces first. This helps you establish the frame of the puzzle and makes it much easier to organize the remaining interior pieces by color and pattern.
Go to the 'My Puzzles' section and upload a photo from your phone. You can then choose how many pieces you want the puzzle to be, turning your favorite memories into a fun game.
Yes, once you have downloaded a puzzle collection, you can complete them anywhere without an internet connection.
My wife and I love playing jigsaws. We have numerous 1,000 piece puzzles we’ve completed and even framed and hung up on our walls. This game is a great way to scratch that jigsaw itch. There are numerous modes you can choose from, that make the games easy or difficult. For example, you can increase the number of pieces, which will of course make the games more difficult. Those games play better on tablets than phones. You can also enable rotating pieces, which makes the puzzles exponentially more challenging. Great for those that want a super hard challenge, but if you want something more casual and relaxing, just turn that off. One of the things that I really love about this app is the simple designs, and how I can pick pictures I like. They even have puzzle packs, and I found a few I really enjoy, like ones by the beaches. I also really enjoy farm scenery. Overall, it’s just a really smooth and relaxing experience that both my wife and I enjoy (we share an iPad) and she also plays sometimes. Would highly recommend for those that enjoy jigsaw puzzles!
So I’ve got several of these apps think you might be from the same developer because you’re very similar. But this particular one I have issues with I may be considered a little OCD and the sense that I like to put all my pieces together by type and by color before I start doing the puzzle itself this particular app when you close it doesn’t remember that so when I came back in this morning to start on the first puzzle innards all of my pieces were mixed up and I was like I spent hours putting them in order because I always do the highest number of pieces so I was quite frustrated and I thought to myself do I start over or do I just move onto one of the other apps that I have that are like I said exactly the same offer so I decided just to delete this app possibly I’ll come back to it. There are things I like about this app. It has a higher peace count and some of the other ones I use. I also like the fact of it has a black background option where I don’t think any of my other ones do I think there’s a dark gray but I don’t think I have a true black like this or not so that’s all I gotta do you know maybe they’ll fix it maybe they won’t but for now it’s a it’s a no for me.
Why on earth would you develop an app for puzzle lovers and not make it functional for how those people work? You should not have to leave all of your pieces on the board to save their organization. Every puzzle person I know sorts their pieces according to some attribute, often color. The scroll bar of pieces should be included in the save feature. Anyone should be able to sort their pieces and be able to scroll to the section where they sorted a particular kind of piece as they work on the puzzle. This is logical and efficient. Having the pieces in the scroll bar not save their location is utter nonsense. The app was running slow a couple of different times, so I exited and came back to it only to find that not only did my organization of the scroll bar not save, but the last several pieces that I had solved and left on the board did not save either! I love the pictures included and how the pieces lock into place, but the lack of saving features is frustrating and I will go look elsewhere. There has to be another puzzle app that has better functionality for people who love putting together puzzles.
This app was already annoying in the fact that if you downloaded a pack of pictures the pack would disappear and so puzzles that you wanted to do would be gone and with the ads in the actual puzzles it’s too easy to accidentally click the ad while trying to look for or pull a puzzle piece. Now they have changed the entire format, taking away the ability to change the background to multiple colors depending on what’s best for that puzzle, every time you put a piece on the board it clicks which is really annoying, you can’t have the picture up separate from the puzzle while looking at pieces (I don’t want an overlay, that’s basically cheating and not how a real puzzle would work), it also now has a subscription, or you have to earn everything. I absolutely hate the update because they changed literally everything about the app and removed the good parts and added more annoying parts.
A while back it kept bogging down, and freezing mid puzzle for a long time. The issue seems mostly fixed, at least it doesn’t freeze for long periods. Puzzles are okay, photos good quality. I wish it were easier to view the puzzle to select to complete: choosing which puzzle I want to complete (for instance from the daily puzzles), is hard because you can’t view the whole puzzle. So I have to pick a puzzle and its level, which then ops s up the puzzle to view after it loads. Then if I don’t like it, delete it from my lists and find another one. It’s time consuming. What’s with the secrecy of only showing a corner of each puzzle?
Paid 6.99 for no ads and expected to have more of a selection of puzzles. Very few puzzles available unless you pay for a monthly subscription. Had I known there are so few puzzles you can play without a subscription, I would have never paid 6.99. It’s very deceiving, you think that money gives you access to ALL the puzzles or at least more than a handful. The ones that are available are not puzzles I care for, only saw maybe 5 that I like. Also, there is no landscape mode so it’s difficult to play on an iPad. I do like the option of choosing what size pieces you want and what size board you like. But for 6.99 totally not worth the money for the few puzzles they offer without a subscription. I’d rather suffer through a few ads and have thousands of puzzles to choose from.
It’s an okay puzzle game, but the images are totally different from what they show in their ads. The ad I clicked on showed gorgeous painted-style images. The actual puzzles are mostly the same stock photos you see in other puzzle games of this kind. I mean, the identical images. There’s no in-game help to explain what the controls do, so figure those out by trial and error. I still haven’t figured out the difference between “magic zoom” and regular zoom. 🤷🏼♀️ No landscape mode. 👎🏻 Too many ads.👎🏻 Tries too hard and too often to get player to connect Facebook 👎🏻 Tiles mode (all pieces are square) is wicked hard but doable. 👍🏻 The best thing about this app compared to others like it is the ability to import your own pictures to make puzzles.👍🏻👍🏻
TL;DR: It’s mind-numbing how many ads you’ll get while playing this. Expect half (or more) of your play time to be watching ads. — You get at least 3-4 ads BEFORE you get into the puzzle you want to play. Then during that puzzle are another 2 unskippable ads, and 1-2 MORE unskippable ads once you finish the puzzle. They give you an ‘option’ between watching an ad for more coins/hints/etc or continuing playing - about 9 times out of 10 the ‘continue’ button directs you to another 30 second unskippable ad. Recently, certain ads in the banner at the bottom of my game have been popping up to cover the whole screen in the middle of play, which is so frustrating. Aside from the ads, gameplay has become almost as frustrating. Most puzzles now force you to play in certain modes (I.e. “rotation-on” or “preview locked”) with no reason - and this may go without saying that half of these games force you into watching an ad before playing. I’ve been using this app for almost 3 years now. The amount of ads was acceptable for a while (app gotta make money somehow), but the increased amount of ad-blocking, pop-ups and redirects has finally gotten me off of this app. Do yourself a favor and pick a different jigsaw app. This one isn't it.
