Our Expert Score

81/100

Puzzle Adventure is a polished and immersive escape-room hybrid that manages to blend exploration with genuinely clever logic puzzles. Unlike many 'hidden object' games that feel static, this title features 3D-ish environments that you can actually navigate through. The story—a supernatural mystery involving ancient artifacts—provides a great backbone for the diverse puzzle types.

I found the environmental interaction to be the highlight. You aren't just clicking on things; you're often manipulating machinery or decoding symbols etched into the walls of forgotten temples. The difficulty curve is well-tuned, and the 'Inventory' system is logical without being overly cumbersome. It’s a high-quality, atmospheric adventure that respects the player's intelligence and observation skills. It’s a great choice for fans of 'The Room' series.

I use to LOVE this game

I really did. I thought I finally found a game that was fun, entertaining, hardly any ads, playable without having to buy anything, although I have because I got sucked in. BUT…. Beware if you are playing this game through a cash back company!!! I no longer respect this game because they are deceitful. They made an offer on one of these apps that they would give me a certain amount cash back for each of their milestones they stated. So I wrote them down and got to work playing. It started fine and I was getting the first awards. The ones that are like .05, .15, .25, etc. But then I was approaching a milestone that I would get $14 if I finished by a certain date. So I spent my own money to be able to hit that milestone. And guess what… they go in during the process and change the rewards!!! And the apps they go through can’t do anything cause these games are able to do that. They cut the rest of the rewards in HALF!!! This is flat out wrong. Dishonest, disgusting and very deceptive. I can understand if they change them BEFORE someone starts the process. But we pick games specifically for the amounts and we work hard to reach them! I won’t even play this game anymore for fun because it upsets me that much. If they weren’t dishonest I would have kept playing this game even after the rewards were over because that’s how much I enjoyed it. It’s a shame you can’t trust anyone anymore

A real puzzle game at last!

I have only ever written 1 other review, but I had to this time because I love this game. There are real puzzles do solve and clues to find. Yes it is an energy game, which can be annoying, but I feel like I regain energy so much faster than in other games so it isn’t as painful as it usually is. Right now I make 1 energy every 8 seconds. Also, in other games it often feels like your energy is spent on dumb things like breaking a billion rocks so you feel like they are just trying to get you to spend all your money fast so you will pay to buy more. In this game you do clear lots of rocks and grass, but lots of your energy is spent on the actual puzzles as well (think Zelda-style pushing a block around) and often when you are clearing grass and rock it is to try and find the right path, or under the rock will be a digit for a combination lock, or a key, etc. As a result the energy mechanic feels less like a gimmick to get you to spend money, and more like an actual part of the game. Be aware some of the game might be a little mature for younger players (you see skeletons and blood and there are monsters) but it is in a goofy, fun way most of the time thus far not scary or graphic like many other puzzle style games. It is also a really beautiful game with great graphics and depth of detail in the scenery. I really love this game!

Too many payment requirements to play the game in a fun way

I like this game but after you get a certain level your “energy” becomes annoying to play (energy lets you open boxes in every level that are REQUIRED to continue gameplay). The game requires you to pay $5-$10 for extra energy to play. I’ve gotten to the point where I have to sacrifice every hour to get the free energy to stock up until 10pm to have enough free energy to play for 5 minutes. The missions are fun and it’s challenging at times but when you have to open the app every hour for 5 mins of play…. It starts to get annoying to not pay $5-$10 for “extra energy”. The makers only make it so you get 250 energy per hour (MAX LEVEL) when you need 2500 energy to complete a mission. They need to fix the FREE part of this game for it to be a better experience for us that can’t afford to pay them or take every hour of our day to get FREE stuff even though that takes 10 hours of opening the game. I would give it 5 stars but paying for energy is frankly unacceptable.

Money hungry creators
Tue Aug 13 2024 what the help?

Is a great game and I love it, but after a couple weeks if I don’t spend far more money than any game worth, then I can’t play the game for long at all. I remember within the last 20 years I would pay between $10-$60 for a game and I could play the game as long as I wanted and as much as I wanted. The games were great with large amount of story and content… why do you need so much to make this game? Are the employees and company owners too incompetent to create a game with content that can be affordable for gamers to play? It are you just greedy and money hungry thereby forcing people to pay $15-thousands of dollars to play after they already invested over $40 in the first two weeks? The game is fun, but are you kidding me. You do very little to make a game that could be fun, but you can’t continue to play the game without ridiculous amounts of money to spend. It’s games like this that make me realize that I need to just invest a little bit in old school games that I only have to pay a one time price to play the ENTIRE GAME that can be played FOR YEARS and still have new content to play. I wish more people would be fed up with the game creators and just stop giving them money for nothing, because that’s what this is…paying people large amount of money when they do very little work and the purchaser gets very little rewards or play time for the price played. I’m going back to console games such as Zelda, Oblivion and Fallout. THIS GAME IS ANOTHER MONEY TRAP!!!

Has potential. Fails due to chosen income stream.

I was not previously familiar with this company, but the game play was initially intriguing. Spend “energy” to “clean-up” blocks, solve pattern puzzles along the way. I enjoyed the game initially as a way to spend time with something I could drop at my convenience when I chose to. The problem is that as you progress, the blocks and move action get more expensive and the expense matrix does not appear to be balanced in the users favor. The best way to take advantage of the game offerings without spending money is to watch ads…a lot of them, at 30 seconds a pop. Doing so tends to double the reward, grant more energy (once every 4 hours), or provide some other treat. The alternative is to spend $5 at a time to get this tank, that energy generator, more energy, or pink shards. Not uncommon to get blasted with 4 of these offers every time you launch the game. Now, after playing for many hours, I’ve decided I have better things to do with my time. It is not convent to play. I can drain my tank now in less than 5 minutes of play and I’m tired of the company trying to separate me from my money via, time, ads, or blatant purchases of resources. The story is engaging, and I’ll be disappointed to to complete the game, but the mechanics are too expensive for me. I would gladly pay for a game that lets me play at my pace - once. This thing is more expensive to play than what I care to invest in. I would have given it w stars but the game is engaging, but again, the cost to play is too high for a casual game. In response to developer about killing apps…you missed the point. I have no issues functionally. Philosophically, you have too many ads. Make the game a flat fee and reduce the number of ads.

(UPDATE: Very Disappointing)

UPDATE: As you can see below, I don't mind the ads, because I get to choose whether or not I want to watch them to double my rewards. Unfortunately, though, the cost (in game energy points) you pay for every move forward increases very often and gets extremely costly - to the point that even with careful strategy, I can only play about 5 minutes an hour. Regretfully, I'll probably need to quit the game soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Original review: I am really enjoying this game! Not only is it fun and challenging (not so challenging that it’s frustrating), but the way advertisements are presented is very smart and unintrusive. They have managed to make viewing ads my choice (ads don't just pop up in your face), and I am well rewarded when I choose to view them. There are also ways to make the energy needed to move forward in the game generate faster, by saving up various kinds of tokens to purchase not only faster energy generation, but also ways to increase the room to store more energy. This all is so much better than the games that say there are no ads, yet the only way to progress in those games without serious frustration is to spend real money. You can use real money in Puzzle Adventure if you wish to, but if you use patience it’s not necessary.

Wonderful graphics

Looks pretty but the game mechanics are wonky. When tapping the location you want to move the game will move the screen more often than moving the character. Puzzle adventure game from the same folks that did Diggy’s but and this is big for me…. They managed to take the fun out of solving puzzles. In this game you are charged energy for everything and I mean everything. Example pulling levers cost energy, turning puzzle pieces costs energy, pushing buttons costs energy, moving puzzle pieces costs more and more energy depending on what level you are in… do you like getting nickel and dimed to death, I don’t. So frustrating for no reason. Getting close to solving a puzzle, oh no I’m out of energy, now I have to try and remember where I left off while I wait for my energy to refill. Sounds like fun right? Nope!! Update! Changing to one star due to the lack of attention or response of any caliber. A message from the developer about building energy up is weak. Multiple people are complaining about the same thing. Standard response and has nothing to do with the games issues. The games problem has to do with actual game play, continued playability and simply enjoying a product. Also no mention of game mechanics or controls, the first thing I mention in my review. Thanks but no thanks.

Sooooo many ads - makes the game trash
Sat Jan 03 2026 Auoura bean

This game is ridiculous for ads. You HAVE to watch ads for basic daily goals and rewards and just to try to keep up. Yet even watching 30 ads a day I still struggle to have much play time and progress, given the increasing energy costs making gameplay short even though you keep improving. I double my rewards for keys with ads, yet any time there is a chest opportunity the cost keeps going up so I can never collect enough keys even with the ads. That is one example of how gameplay is very out of whack, like the devs have never tried to play their own game like a normal player who works during the day and maybe can only play at night, or who tries to advance but can never meet the ever-increasing requirements which are always just out of reach. The ads though, why do I have to click 6 times for a single ad? It used to be 10 seconds per ad with one X. Now it it 4 to 6 X’s over 30 or more seconds each, or an X every 9 seconds times 4 times. Stop allowing these ads! They are trash! The fact the devs allow this ad nonsense makes this game trash because all you are doing is watching ads.
