Extra pickles please.

I hate pickles, But this pickle here, Is the whose concerted hate into love. Survivor games are coming out by the dozens every month now, I’ve played several of them and none of the games have ever come close to the experience I had with vampire survivors, But in all honesty this game gives you that wow factor and then some. Dare I say it may even surpass its inspiration! I’m not one to write reviews often..But this game doesn’t ask for money on a constant basis, There’s no ads popping on your screen constantly, There’s love for the genre and extreme attention to detail. I can’t honestly believe how great this game is, I went from let me try this game to realizing 3 and a half hours had passed (Based on a true event) I’m in my 30’s, So I’m old and wise now..My wisdom to share with you all is to get this pickle, You'll never hate them again. 5/5 Stars.

Great game so far. ***UPDATE***

It’s a bit easy but it’s a great game with no adds that has a decent amount of good features in it to help the player, you can tell this game was made with love and care. No adds too except at the end if you want to after the boss is beat, they give you free gold (it will cost a lot to upgrade passive stuff when higher lvl), the shop is the only downside, which is a normal shop type stuff but it’s not OP type. Was totally fine with dropping a few bucks on this game (for a nice perma starter weapon) knowing this game was made with love and care and not a add infested cash grab. ***Theres a new update that just dropped that made everything faster and it made the game way worse! I’m changing to 1 star and probably not going to play anymore. Each wave now is either a minute or less, enemies pop up super fast from start, each round being shorter is actually making gameplay way worse. All damages seemed to be lowered which is ok I guess but it seems the shop and shop after each wave has worse items now when it was already a bit hard to get good stuff. Gems cost more to use now too which is ok cuz you get ‘em for free, but dang these shorter time in waves is much worse, it completely changes the game for worse not better. It also feels gameplay itself is faster? Idk it feels that way and it’s not good.

Another app turns for the worse

New update has now severely impacted the experience of pickle Pete. For those who may not be aware, before this update, pickle Pete was free to play, minimal ads, and purchases were not necessary. It was an amazing game to grind out a few hours and really feel progress. Now, an energy bar has been added. Characters and allies are now strictly locked behind cash purchases when originally, you could grind gems and get them. Breaking down equipment cost gems when that was too free to do. And that was nice as you could experiment with builds without fear of making a huge mistake that would cause a setback in progress. I get it. This is what gaming is coming to. You always hope you found that one game, that one developer that’s gonna break the trend. Because, just like us, developers are gamers too. Yet greed and artificial paywalls are now becoming the norm. Subscriptions are now overriding one time purchases. And most of all, this is just what it is. Complaints fall on deaf ears and games will continue to push these micro transactions. Idk, if I’m gonna pay money, I’ll just use a casino app like DraftKings or FanDuel. At least they are honest about wanting to take your money.

New Energy Update

I love the game. Been playing it for awhile over a few years and it can be highly addicting. As of today though I’ll be playing it less as I’m not setting timers to check back when I’ve got full energy. When I see that it’s full I’ll play until empty and I just bought my VIP. But it is a really fun game aside from that, so I’m not going to lie when I was slightly disappointed to see now there’s an energy like many other games. I do still recommend it though. UI Idea; Put icons with % with buffs along the top above health and exp bar to show what’s active with the perks acquired. Maybe even add a number of health ###/### within the red health bar?! Just some quality of life I’d love to see! Would also love to see more of the PVP like side between buildings, weapons and such. Would also very much love to see more clan based content, maybe more furniture as well as another building for more passive buffs and anything else clan related? Still love the game though! (Update 20June25); So I have beat my high score many times in endless and it never updates. I’ll wait a few weeks or months and try again and it still won’t. Last high score is approx 225k, just died off about wave 49 with a 370k high score this time around as of today. Any fix coming for this??

Best game ever, please support the devs.

I had really liked this game in the past, but hadn't really got into it. So, when I come back and check on the status of the game, slightly afraid it would have turned into a whale paradise monetization nightmare, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Most recent patch notes are the developer, DIRECTLY making really amazing changes in game as a response to what I assume is feedback from the player base. Made an entire kind of items/stuff fully accessible no through using the ingame gems you earn (though you can also buy them), and you earn them at a very reasonable pace. AND!!!! They completely removed the entire energy system in-game! The system anyone who plays these kind of games knows and hates. Completely removed! And it was in response to the dev actually listening and engaging with the community. I will 100% be spending some money on this game, that would have never spent on other mobile games. It's really, really refreshing tbh compared to vast majority on here. Oooh last thing. I absolutely adore the little side shooter/platformer mode in this and the other two alertnate game modes! Play this game y'all!

After 'the update' I had left some rather angry words of distress and confusion, and I would like to just say 1)thank you for fixing it, it would not have been surprising to have another game keep going in the path of only money, so really thank you. Because this game did mean a lot as an early player and feeling so strongly as to delete it so quickly wasn't fun. So really I think we all appreciate it very much. The new energy is now to a point where if they really want or need a feature like that in the game, it works. But yesterday(12th) was a scare. Not only did they fix the problem, it was fast. Made me happy knowing i could play a traditional fun game again.

Your gems will disappear, no support or contact option

I literally was saving up gems working to build up to buy a new character and it randomly just deleted like 500 of my gems for no reason. I have recordings of how much gems I had, I never used them and they just disappeared. There is no way to even contact anyone so I'm just screwed. Good thing I never paid money on this game, I was thinking about it but it's a really good thing I didn't because it would've literally stolen my money. For people who did purchase gems and maybe have trouble remembering exact numbers or don’t have recordings, I feel bad for you. This game can literally just steal your money/time and you'll have no way of contacting anyone to even get them back. The support option needs to be right there in the settings clearly visible and accessible for all. You can't have a game without that, what are you guys thinking?

Latest update turned into a cash grab

I have been playing this game for many many months and I was really loving how you could play without investing a ton of money into the game, so much so that I got a VIP upgrade and have paid for the monthly gems access for several months because I wanted to support the creators. However, with the latest update, they have completely transformed the game into a cash grab. you now have to have energy points to play any part of the game and of course, if you run out of energy the only way to get more is to pay. They have also added various in game currency costs to do things that were previously free to do. I’m tempted to file a chargeback with my bank for all the money I’ve already put into the game because the developers have obviously decided they’d rather make as much money as quickly as possible than reward players.
