PathPix Cats is a delightful treat for puzzle enthusiasts, especially those who prefer a zen-like experience over high-pressure action. The mechanic is simple: connect pairs of colored numbers to fill a grid and reveal a pixel-art cat. It feels like a mix of 'Picross' and 'Snake,' requiring a decent amount of logic to ensure paths don't cross and all squares are filled.
With 125 puzzles ranging from small to massive, the value for money here is incredible. The 'Cat' theme is adorable, and seeing a cute kitten emerge from a sea of numbers is a great reward for your hard work. It's a fantastic brain-teaser for winding down at night. The interface is clean and stays out of the way, letting the puzzles take center stage. If you enjoy methodical logic games, this is a must-download.

Always start with the shortest paths (2s and 3s) first to clear the board. Then, look for numbers that are isolated near corners; their paths are usually forced into a specific direction, which helps define the rest of the board.
Every single square on the board must be part of a path. If you finish connecting all the numbers but there are empty squares left, you'll need to re-route some of your longer paths to pick up the slack.
Each number represents the total number of squares the path between those two points must occupy, including the squares the numbers themselves are on.
The creator of this whole series deserves a gold medal. These games are not only addicting but they have a calming affect. At least for me. Great idle time consumer and anxiety aid.
I love the art revealed by the densely packed puzzle pieces. It feels like I’m uncovering a beautiful picture or painting. More puzzles like these please!
