Paper Train Traffic is a fun, stressful little management game. It reminds me of those classic flash games where things start slow and then spiral into chaos. The 'drawn on paper' art style is adorable and gives the game a lot of personality. It’s simple to understand—stop the trains, start the trains—but the timing gets brutal.
It’s a bit repetitive after a while, but for a casual game, it does exactly what it needs to do. The later levels require some serious multitasking skills. It's great for short bursts of play, though it might make you never want to work in air traffic control or rail management.
Unique hand-drawn paper aesthetic
300+ challenging levels
A variety of train types and speeds
Global leaderboards for high scores
Intuitive one-touch gameplay
Watch the speed of the incoming trains closely. High-speed express trains should always be given priority. It's often safer to stop a slower freight train for a long period than to risk a close call at a crossing.
Tapping a train or its corresponding signal will toggle its movement. Players must manage the timing of multiple trains simultaneously to clear the screen within the time limit without any accidents.
The level immediately ends and you'll have to restart that stage from the beginning.
The only thing it needs is a pause button because life happens in the middle of a level and crashing a train so that you can answer the phone or door means having to restart that level. Having a way to do a whole game restart would be nice too. The pictures are simple and wonderful... and the only way to improve them would be... 1. Allow the training post-it to be removable... 2. Paper Train II.
Great fun, but a pause button would be nice, but then i’d pause just to look and figure out next move, so maybe not. Love the scenery—a replay button would be fun where u could watch your successful level and look at the scenery without worrying about directing trains. So yeah, a replay button to watch your successful levels
My son and I played this together and had a blast. We shouted things “Incoming!” “Bay 2 clear!” “Boost Juice!” and “That level is impossible!” (only later to find it was possible). This was great. There was only one drawback: we never got to see any of the videos at multiples of 50. It always just kicked us out of the app. Anyone else get booted at the videos? We had a lot of fun playing this and are left with just one lingering mystery (What’s on those videos?). Thanks Paper Trains!
Love the art style, kind of like Blueberries for Sal with UFO’s hidden in the landscape. I also love how it’s a little loose so the levels don’t repeat exactly and you have to pay attention. I love getting three stars on each level then dread the challenge of the next level until I pass it. Well done.
Compared to all new games on the market, this little game just gives you a LOT of entertaining levels without ads or constant pressures to buy something from them. And the graphics on this game are indeed great!
This was one of my first iPad games. Go, stop, switch tracks, crash and repeat until all the trains are cleared. Practice and perseverance are the key, And a few smashed cows along the way are ok (except to the cow).
Since the release of iOS 11, my previous versions of the game have been unable to play on my devices. I’m very glad to see this updated version available. Thank you.
Well designed and creative challenges. Great graphics. 300 levels; all thoughtfully crafted. Even when I mess up and crash I laugh out loud. It gets crazy at times but it’s all part of the fun. BTW, if you are interrupted you can pause by hitting the Menu button.
