Bridge Constructor lets you let your imagination run wild as an engineer. Across various islands and varied landscapes, you must build structurally sound bridges using wood, steel, cables, and concrete pillars. With 40 diverse levels and a sophisticated physics engine, you must account for weight and stress to ensure your creations don't collapse when the heavy trucks roll through.

Our Expert Score

85/100

Bridge Constructor is the definitive physics-based engineering puzzle that manages to be both incredibly frustrating and immensely rewarding. The core loop of looking at a chasm, checking your budget, and trying to figure out how to distribute weight across wood, steel, and cables is brilliantly executed. It’s one of those rare games where failure is just as entertaining as success; watching a bridge buckle and send a tank plummeting into the water provides a visceral lesson in structural integrity.

What sets this apart from simpler physics games is the stress-test phase. Once you've built your masterpiece, you have to run cars and then heavy trucks over it. The visual feedback—members turning red as they reach their breaking point—is a perfect UI choice that teaches you where your design went wrong. It feels like a true engineering sim dressed in a casual puzzle game's clothing. Whether you're a logic puzzle fanatic or just someone who likes seeing things explode, this is an essential mobile experience.

My opinion

This simulator game was WORTH $1.99. I personally DON’T like buying apps, but this one is WORTH buying. Not just because it is a simulator game it’s because its fun in a way that make you laugh a little bit, although looking at the app doesn’t make it seem like it . Also if you THINK about it, this can take some strategy for people who like strategy games and DON’T get annoyed. BUT this could also be for people who like building games OR for people who like strategy AND building games. This DOES NOT mean this game is EDUCATIONAL in any way.

So Irritating. This game is the worst

You pay for a game in the hopes of finding a quality product only to find so often, as is the case with this awful game, that its designed to extract more money from you, gatekeeping what should be a quality experience behind further transactions. How they accomplish this is by limiting your budgets to laughably small amounts that prevent you from building a quality bridge. You are forced to settle for bridges that barely function. But you can buy some coins to increase your budgets to make a bridge that would be expected in the real world. So it’s a free to play model that they’re actually charging for. As a game developer myself, I would be ashamed of this. Designing bridges that can withstand physics simulations is a great idea. They intentionally ruin it with tiny budgets that could never produce the bridge required for the span.

This is probably the oldest app on my phone with the exception of the ones that already came on it. I love this game so much. It’s great for when you’re bored, or looking to pass the time. Its’s also great for when your feeling anxious; it’s calming enough to relax you but engaging enough to keep your mind occupied. I’m really glad that this app not only exists but that it’s been kept well-updated and running smooth for so many years. Thank you, Bridge Constructor!

Great game for the price.

I've seen a few reviews that wonder why it seems unfinished. In my opinion the game is perfect the way it is. It's not a game for people who like lots of flourish. If you simply like engineering, bridges, or building in general, then the game has all that you could ask for or need. It gives you a spot to build, and then you build! It's a great game for the price in my opinion.

Stick with the playground

I bought this because I enjoyed the playground for many weeks. I was disappointed. The absolute budget ceilings prevent you from experimenting and discourage creative or elegant design ideas. You can’t design over budget and then go back and improve. The extra-load feature is fun, but again it’s hard to experiment. As with the playground, the scoring is completely mysterious, with no hint of what your scores are based on. I’ve deleted it. I would buy another round of the playground, but none of the further editions like this one.

Love it but

I love this bridge building game! It is so much fun and stressful to see if your bridge will break or survive. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because they show you that you can build up and down in the pictures, and I thought, “oh this will be fun to build and unlock that feature”, but in reality, when you finish the game, they tell you that it has to be bought. I paid for this game and it does not even have a feature that they proudly present with the bunny and the man. Great game but very disappointing

Rip-off! Bought game but still have to pay

I bought the game thinking that you earn stars and unlock extra materials and the bridges will get more complicated. No! Right from the start you still have to buy stars to unlock the right materials to build a bridge that doesn’t fail! None of the Bruges are possible unless you have bought more stars to get materials. Plus, I bought hints but the partial hint said a strut was concrete. My bridge still failed. When I paid more and got the full solution that strut was in fact wooden! I wish we could give zero stars!

A challenging way to pass some time
Fri Nov 20 2020 000000000-

This is a fun game for you builders. It stays challenging as you move along. Even the collapsing bridges are fun, when it’s back to the drawing stage. A great game if you’re stuck somewhere, like an airport, to pass the time. Short enough to do in a quick wait, long enough for a long wait. Enjoy.
