Same ol' Noodles, with a callout to download Noodles 2!
Great puzzle game! I love playing a nice relaxed game without timers or limits to how many you can play within a specific time without buying something. The game play is easy to pick up, the graphics are beautifully clean, the sound effects are subtle and pleasing, and there are thousands of puzzles! Very addicting and I can rarely play just one puzzle (I'm nearly 2800 puzzles gone now!)! Some reviewers complain about the lack of an undo button but I don't find that an issue. The scoring system allows for extra moves within each diamond award level. I.e. The fewest possible moves may be 50 but if you finish the puzzles in, say 60 moves, you're still awarded 5 diamonds. From my experience, you can make two, maybe three (maybe even more depending in the level), mistakes forcing you to rotate a hexagon all the way around again, and still get 5 diamonds. There have been quite a few times that I've thought I'd have to replay a level because I was going too fast and made so many errors but still got 5 diamonds in the end. It's okay to make mistakes, folks! Noodles is forgiving and loves you anyway 😉. Very well done game! Definitely one of my go-to games!
I've completed 2,478 levels…that should be enough to tell you how much i love this game. It's prefect for when you have a few minutes to spare, for instance when you're commuting, waiting for a microwave dish, tv commercial, waiting for a friend to text back, in between classes, there are many different times for when it's great to play. There are only 2 things about this game which I dislike: first it's missing iCloud synchronization between devices (at least since the last time i tried to play on my iPad) and second being the lack of an undo button—only because there have been many times when i have accidentally pressed upon a hexagon or square which i hadn't meant to press (especially in the dense levels). Otherwise this is my favorite game, the one game that i actually play.
I've had this game for a month or so now and it is, without a doubt, my 'go to' game. I like playing all type of games and this one fills a niche. If you like basic puzzle solving like Minesweeper or Sudoku, give this a try. If you liked that old colored pipe game on old Windows versions, this is your updated version with a lot more polished design cues. The only drawback I can see is that when you get to the larger grids, the tiles are smaller (makes perfect sense until they can figure out how to make my screen size grow). That results in accidentally tapping the wrong tiles every once in awhile. This isn't a developer gripe, this is a "I should play this on the iPad more and not on the iPhone" gripe. Kudos to the developers for reinventing a classic that has killed off my dependency on Sudoku for filling idle hands during idle moments. This one will be on my devices for foreseeable years into the future. Also, kudos to the developers for inserting their in-app advertisement for another one of their games in the least intrusive and most classy way I have come across so far. This should be a classic.
I'm not a big game or puzzle person and I generally download an app and never use it and then finally play it and end up deleting it. Not so with this gem! I love the feeling of satisfaction I come away with and the desire to keep going each time I complete a puzzle. It's a great thinking game so I don't feel like I'm wasting time, but I also feel like it's relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely worth the time to write a review. Download this app! PS- Thanks makers for making it free and not bugging me to write a review. You rock!
I absolutely love this game! I have dedicated so many hours of my life to it. It's perfect for filling time or just keeping my fingers occupied. It's refreshing to see that it's still getting updates now. The sheer number of levels means I don't have to worry about running out and the lack of ads is fantastic. I really enjoy playing it at night, but the background is blinding even at my lowest brightness setting. I think it would really benefit from a dark mode. A reset button would also be helpful, since the only way to restart a level is to exit it and start it from the menu. Again, I cannot sing praise loud enough for Noodles. This has been easily my top game for years.
If you like puzzle games, this is a solid game with a good concept. However, the control system combined with the scoring system is poorly thought out. Scoring is judged by making as few moves as possible to solve each level, but the control system only allows rotation in one direction and there is no undo button. It is extremely easy to accidentally tap a piece next to the one you intend to tap, which can then cause you to have to make 3 or 5 extra rotations, and having to redo the entire puzzle to get full score. Given that this could have been prevented by simply having an undo button, I think it's a lazy oversight by the developers that adds a huge amount of frustration to the game.
Love to listen to music and play a few levels to pass the time if I'm waiting for something. Very well made. I wish they showed you at a glance what your score was when you scroll through levels of the same layout - I want to perfect all of them, but currently you have to click each individual level to see your best score. And if you redo a puzzle and go back, the screen resumes at the beginning instead of where you just left off.
EDIT: changed from 3 to 5 stars. Because of user error, I wrongly assumed my progress wasn't being saved. It is being saved and I completed the game a couple of months after I wrote my first review. Just never got the chance to change my review. But now I'm here. I am still addicted to this game even after all this time. Please add new levels, I've been trying to find games similar to this but have not been able to. Try this game out, you won't regret it. Review written in 2016. I am addicted to this game and have been playing nonstop. I was at 60% complete on the 2nd 5x5 when I skipped to the 1st 7x7 and now I've lost my game progress on the 5x5 game. What I bummer that I lost that statistic. Not sure if it's because I skipped the game that triggered this as I wasn't having an issue prior.
