Ninja Attack! is an arcade-style action game that puts your reaction time to the test. As a ninja surrounded by enemies, you must use quick swipes to eliminate threats before they reach you. The game features various enemy types, each requiring different timing to defeat. Collect power-ups to unleash special moves and climb the global leaderboards in this endless battle for survival.

Our Expert Score

75/100

Ninja Attack! is the digital equivalent of a fidget spinner—it’s simple, repetitive, and strangely impossible to put down. The swipe-to-slash mechanic feels snappy, and there’s a genuine sense of flow once you start chain-killing enemies in a single continuous movement. It doesn't try to reinvent the genre; it just aims to be the best 'waiting for the bus' game it can be.

The difficulty curve is steep, and you'll die a lot, but the instant restarts keep the frustration at bay. It’s a pure test of reflexes that reminds me of the early days of mobile gaming where a high score was the only thing that mattered.

Almost perfect..

Don’t get me wrong. This game is great, but could be improved in a single way. The concept is great. The way it works is outstanding. However, the graphics could improve. The textures are amazing, but the shadows could look a bit cooler. At the moment, they are basically amebas with an eye or two. They could be like, other ninjas, or beasts from other realms. The shop could still sell textures, but there could be a bit more. The shop should sell other weapons, like kuni, or fidget spinners that act like shurikens, or maybe stacks of money. The shop also could sell upgrades for yourself. Like faster throwing speed, or longer duration for power up weapons. Also, the shadows that give you the other weapons could maybe also contain some type of helpful power up. Like maybe slowing down the shadows, or destroying all of the shadows. Something like that. There could be a few other game modes, and more variety of music. I don’t mean to ask to much. Hopefully, at least some of my requests could be done. Thank you. And as I said at the beginning, the game is on the top of my list of favorite games, and that is a hard list to make.

How do I access AR mode?

Now don’t get me wrong this is a really great game, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to turn on AR mode? I’ve made it pretty far in the game but the AR button in the screen shots never appears. Is it a problem with my iPhone version?

Great idea, poorly executed

The art ‘style’ just makes the game muddy and difficult to understand visually. The sound design are sub par and lazy. I’m not sure why I’m dying or what I’m actually doing most of the time. The menus are busy and unintuitive. The gameplay itself is just awful. The Arrows you press to turn 90 degrees are in the same place as the spots you have to move your ninja star. I am constantly being pushed to the next screen while trying to throw at enemies. Some enemies spawn half off one screen, but can’t be seen on the next, so you are just throwing stars at them hoping one lands and that you don’t accidentally hit the arrow.

I love this game. A lot of people have complained about the graphics and how trippy they are, but that’s just part of the game. The graphics are super unique and the gameplay is fun. The ar mode is also great. I do have some suggestions, like adding something more you can spend your in game money on. One idea is like perks So like upgrades for your base attack like every 10 shuriken thrown 1 dagger gets thrown or something like that.

Came for the Bull Terrier, Stayed for Throwing Stars

I will admit that part of my rating is based on the fact that a Bull Terrier, one of the greatest breeds of Dog in the world, is featured in a screenshot. However. The game runs smoothly, and is actually fun! I love seeing AR games in the ecosystem, and hope to one day see more with the advent of solid AR hardware/glasses. PS: plz do not throw stars at Bull Terrier. ;)

Amazing Game

Astonishing simplicity yet a complex gameplay. The two-color design is remarkably well executed, and the customization aspect is what keeps the game interestingly beautiful. The fast-paced gameplay is addictive and the desire to get more colors is unmatched. Definitely one of the best free mobile games on the market.

Works on iPad but not on phone

I just got it on my iOS 11 iPad and it works, and it's a really good game. I guess it just doesn't work on iOS 10? Maybe my phones just bad. But it works on my iPad and it is a good game but I wish I could play it on my iPhone

Best thing ever
