Fun game but...

When i found this game i was super excited since this is one of the games i played as a child so u was super excited to play, but when i opened the game the controls were so weird. It’s so hard to control the buttons are all over the place even when i tried to move them around to try and make it easier to play but it became more frustrating. I wish i could move the buttons around wherever i want and not just half and only the joycon. Please make this easier to control i don’t want to regret my purchase.

If you have patience, you should go to controls set the buttons size at minimum and then it’s gets kind of tricky, the buttons abc are not going to move if they are in a certain area too close of the move pad I put the pause button on the upper right corner first You should try to move the control pad to a corner as much as possible then try to move the abc buttons to the desired position keeping the move pad’s dead zone in mind, however the a button it’s bigger than the others so you should play whit the size bar of the buttons a little, I spent like five minutes doing this and now it’s totally working in an iPhone 12 Pro Max I hope it works for you guys

For people looking to buy this in 2025 the game lowkey runs great from any iPhone 12 and up I wouldn’t recommend playing with the touch pad I recommend playing with the controller through Bluetooth or backbone only issue is u can’t use grenades unless u touch the pad which isn’t a big issue that’s the only issue anything else or everything else runs smoothly I’ll say this for metal slug 1-3 and x all work this way I have yet to buy 4 and 5 but check it out soon to see if I left a review gonna buy it soon hope this helps

Great Potential But Terrible Controls

Listen to the reviews, they are correct on ALL metal slug games 1-X. The controls are terrible for this game. In easy mode this game functions, but there are critical levels that require simultaneous movement like diagonal shooting or jumping and shooting at the same time. The way touchscreen works on phones make it difficult to have 3 buttons pushed at the same time to execute this, limiting you to only 2 movements at a time. To top it off, each metal slug does not work with my rotor riot plug in controller. It works with every other game except this one, so I’m stuck with terrible controls and the lack of compatibility with one that could potentially fix this issue.

The game is awesome, I love it. While playing the game I have found a few glitches that occur but I’m unsure if it’s only in my phone. When playing the game and choosing a random mission, let’s say mission 2, for some reason, you will be taken to mission one and even at the start of the mission it says “mission 2, start” even doe its mission 1. This happens on any mission I choose and once I beat the mission, the game counts it as the mission it was supposed to be. Also at the final boss, the app either crashes or the screen suddenly turns black and freezes. Plz fix it :3

At the start of each game, I bought the bundle they controls all set up in a weird way and when going to key configuration to adjust only a few controls move and not all of them even when making them smaller they don’t move places at all I don’t know if it’s just my game or phone but want to get feed back on it because this game good

I purchased the whole pack for about $8 and don’t regret it! The cool thing with the game is that you can change the graphics from original to filtered! Game play is the same as I remembered!Definitely a game worth purchasing! Also to the creator: I’m waiting for metal slug 6 and metal slug 7 please make these games available for our mobile devices and for the iPod touch 7 gen

I bought the game like 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. Everything about it I enjoy. Now however, I tried playing it again after quite some time to relieve that joy I felt. Much to my surprise, I found the keypad all messed up and out of place. So I was like “no big deal, I’ll just go to settings and fix it”. IT DID NOT ALLOW ME TO FIX AND REORGANIZE THE KEYPAD. Every single button was out of place to the point where the game was unplayable. And worst of all, it still won’t allow me to move them around. PLEASE FIX THIS!! I have an iPhone X. Take care of your game.
