Mirror Dungeon 7
New Identity
Bug fixes and improvements
Limbus Company, despite being the third game in the Project Moon universe, requires no previous knowledge at all (although, playing the other two games, ‘Lobotomy Corporation’ and ‘Library of Ruina’ should be done as this games lore is immensely interesting, and also, dedicated fans get alot of fanservice through the ‘Walpurgisnacht’ events and stories that may feature or mention old characters. The combat is easy to pickup, hard to learn, and amazingly fun to master. Building different compositions and seeing how different IDs (also this games units, what you will be pulling for in the gacha, along with E.G.Os) interact and work with each other is an incredible experience. Better yet, even if you are a free to play player, the game is very generous in giving their premium currency, ‘Lunacy’, and the way you can obtain IDs is also good with their dispenser, which lets you get both ID and E.G.O from past seasons, only being limited on not getting the previous seasons units or the limited time Walpurgisnacht event characters. If you like any form of strategy RPG, gacha game, and visual novel, this game is all three and even more— I don’t even want to talk about the tearjerker stories, almost every canto released tops the next and evokes emotional responses and attachment. Genuinely one of my top 3 games of all time. Project Moon has done outstanding work yet again. Definitely give it a try.
I’ve been with this game since it’s release and I feel it’s come a long way. There were so many issues which I now feel are no longer issues. Whether it be bugs, resource scarcity, or other issues they keep making it better. I feel like PM really asked “how many annoying mechanics can we add to this game and how can we make them actually fair?” Gatcha system? Add the pity system and ego boxes so you can always get what you want. Battle pass? Make it easily farmable and have no actual content loss. Literal coin flip luck? Add sanity which you gain from winning battles. Grinding? Press a few buttons and wait a bit, shouldn’t be hard or annoyingly long. That’s enough gushing over game mechanics and how they amalgamated so much bad stuff and made it work well. The story and characters are amazing. You, an amnesiac with a clock for a head leads 12 morons across a dystopian city to find gold tree branches which hold the power of a collapsed company but others want them. The combat is unique to any other game I’ve played before and rather simple for PM standards. Simple enough to drag your finger across the screen a few times and win but complex enough to sink your teeth into. The events and other content added and continuing to be added is always a breath of fresh air. You will not be disappointed in this game and it’s never too late to start!
Limbus is a great game. Story does not disappoint, even if the gameplay slightly does, but with the new battle mechanics they introduced in Canto VII, I feel my stance on that may change very soon. The story in Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina are better than that of Limbus, however, those games are not on mobile, and they’re not free like Limbus. Speaking of being free, Limbus is VERY f2p friendly. Now, I’ve spent money on buying the paid battle passes, but I went a long time without spending any money whatsoever. I prefer the battle system used in Library of Ruina to that of Limbus’ but Limbus’ system still has some fun mechanics you have to strategize and play around. However, if you’re going to be getting into the game, I would recommend against getting into the community as a whole, and maybe finding a person or two you can talk to about the game rather than delve into the hellhole known as “Limbus EN Community.” I still shudder every time I think of it. Overall, 9/10 game, recommend to all my friends, they ignore me, and I still keep trying.
I wake up every day excited to play this game. The characters all foil each other in such clever ways, they each have distinct and unique personalities that go very well together. I love they way they all interact and treat Dante. Though it’s basically the same thing as Honkai Impact, fighting and gacha with a story, Project Moon really found a way to make this game stand out. Even the gacha system has its unique qualities (and I was reluctant to get this game because I hate gacha games but this game is super F2P and the drop rates are good.) The art, AMAZING as always, the storytelling is very unique and very well done even through translation like SERIOUSLY. Every word still resonates very well and makes sense. There’s the PERFRCT ratio of dark and gorey content and humor, which I’m not gonna spoil but… two words. Sinclair. Maracas. I love it. Which… there is an abundance of gore. But it’s 17+ so don’t expect it to be kid friendly. Though I think teens would still be fine with playing this because I’m 16 ☠️ I love every project moon game and I am happy to play this one :) thanks for the great game I love it!!!!
There’s a bug that myself and other players are experiencing. The current bug issue is the “weekly mission tab” isn’t working at all. It’ll show a notification(!) of a weekly mission being completed but once you tap on the tab. Nothing happens at all, we even deleted the game and reinstalled it to fix the current issue but unfortunately, it’s still the same. I know the game literally just came out and there’s always going to be some form of bugs upon release(My opinion, that never should be the case with any release games but it is what it is I suppose). We the players, will give you the developers the benefit of the doubt on fixing theses bugs ASAP and being transparent with us on the current issues being patched/fixed. Other then that main issue(I’m sure there’s more that we haven’t found yet) the game been great. The combat is unique and a breath of fresh air. Update: They just released a patch on February 27, 2023 and fixed the current “weekly mission tab” bug. Good stuff developers 👌 Keep up the good work.
I really do love the game. It’s by far the most generous gotcha game in the history of them as it allows you to use even the basic identities to make way through the game until later levels, and even then you get enough of the premium currency to draw new identities and egos as they come out. Crashes are probably the worst thing. Usually whenever you’re using an ego, or there’s a scene shift such as a boss phase change, the game may crash you out. This is probably the worst during chapter boss, fights and dungeons, as there is no continuance from where the battle left off. Meaning, you’ll have to endure the entire battle again. At later stages this is frustrating, as you’ll find your way through 2000+ hit points of damage and coin flips just to have it all undone. Playing through those fights on PC, through steam, is sometimes the only way to make progress. All in all, the story is great so far and the characters fleshed out to fell like you know them after a bit. Definitely a great entry to the Lobotomy/Ruina Setting.
Limbus Company is a game that cares about your time, by a company that treats their games as a form of art. It has an amazing story, a unique art style, and fun, interesting, and deeply complex mechanics with a huge variety of team archetypes to play around with. The story is one of the best and darkest I've ever seen in a gacha, with incredibly compelling and complicated characters who you really feel attached to. It is almost unbelievably generous and f2p friendly (low spenders who just buy the battle pass can unlock every single limited character for free without much effort.) In fact, it's so generous that I find myself wondering how the devs make a profit on it. But that's probably the main thing that will keep me loyal for years to come. Limbus Company is maybe the only gacha I've played that is a game first and a gacha second, and for that reason, it deserves an enthusiastic 5 stars. It has a steep learning curve, but the community is very kind and will help you figure it out. If you are on the fence, play this game! Get invested! You will NOT regret it.
It's difficult to accurately portray my fascination and adoration for the entire Project Moon universe of games. From LB to LB, each of their games has been an experience and a half. Though tutorials can always be critiqued for the lack of information, the wide world of "PM Sleeper Agents" make up for it; the fans give what the creators fail to provide. Yet, this does not bother me. No part of this series does. Limbus Company, their latest entry, is such an incredible work of fiction and gameplay that there aren't enough words in the English dictionary and Korean dictionary combined to truly convey my feelings about it all. It's a gacha game that isn't; a story of many condensed into one; inspiration and references to old cultures and folklore coalescing into the most "egotistical" work of literature and entertainment that I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. I cannot wait to see this to the end. Yet, I must be eagerly patient for when the next Canto arrives. Thank you for the fun, Project Moon.
