Overall I think this game is great. There’s lots of active members, usually an event going on, it’s very engaging (unlike others like this game), and overall it’s pretty fun. Of course there are some flaws to every game but in my opinion this game has just a few. Like not having many hero’s. There are a few hero’s all you can easily unlock but I would like to see even more hero’s it just feels like a lack when I go to the hero area and just see the few that are there. I also believe certain events that are held should be longer like the fishing event felt very short and the regeneration rate of the items was very slow. I know they want you to spend money which I will admit I have on this game but I think they could improve the events. Another thing is maybe even expanding our kingdoms even more. I have unlocked and leveled up everything to a decent level in my kingdom and it just is kinda sad to see it all done. Maybe they can figure something out and add more to build and stuff into the kingdom. Like I said i genuinely love this game it’s engaging and fun and I usually don’t spend money on games but this one for some reason made me want to do it. But the game feels very short and not a lot of content. I truly believe there is a lot they could add making it one of the better mobile games out there. But it’s up to the creators to do that for us.
The game is fun so far. Some recommendations I have is to allow game transfers to different kingdom. I had a friend join but they were in a different kingdom than me. They had to start all over just so they could be in the same kingdom. If possible, it would be nice to be able to allow your current data to be transferred to another kingdom or allow kingdom selection at the beginning of the game. Another recommendation I have is to allow certain purchases to apply to your overall account and not one of the game profiles you created on your account. When I had said friend move over to my kingdom, they had to pay the $2.99 fee again just to have another builder. It would be nice to have that specific purchase apply to all your profiles instead of having to pay for it again with real money. I understand if it were a game pack that had certain heroes/perks that you wouldn’t want to apply to all profiles, but having to pay for a second builder for each profile seems like overkill. Aside from those two things the game is pretty fun. There’s a lot to do and tons of events that keep the game interesting, since each event is unique in the tasks that it requires.
There first thing I noticed was the ads were misleading pertaining to game play, but I didn’t discount the game immediately because it could still be fun… and it was in the beginning! It has a good development story, fun characters and compelling potential of advancement. I didn’t even mind the grind of repeated tasks and long wait times to build and train. Then the p2w beast started panhandling for EVERYTHING!! I’ve played plenty of games with micro-purchasing, but this game brings it to another level. I love maximizing efficiency to compete with those that just pay to overcome their inefficiencies, but it is impossible with this one. Unless you’re willing to invest a ton of time to not even place in the top 100 in anything, move on to another game. I eventually caved in and spent some money, but quickly realized I was unwilling to spend the amount others were to compete in this game of ‘financial chicken’. So I decided to leave the game and tried to unbind my account from my credit card and pass it to my daughter who wanted to try it without purchases… after the in-game “help” asked me for the same information 3 times (which I provided with screenshots) it became obvious they would not unbind it. I deleted and moved on. To make it clear, I do not mind spending a little on games. Like to remove ads or cosmetics, but this one is 100% pay to win… or even compete! The search for a compelling f2p game continues…
It’s a one-sided game, and the bigger alliances like Checkmate [CMT] in kingdom 62, bully, stalk, spam attack, harass and again spam attack much smaller players and alliances, they, [CMT], spam. They do not play fair. The developers do respond, but it is like talking to a BOT. This alliance has members who harassed us and when we reported them to their leader(s), the alliance leader(s) encouraged their behavior. This makes the game not fun to play because they are threatening and only pursuing and attacking people who are much smaller and less capable as they are, people who did not spend money to play this game, and they mark, they stalk, and they are stalking me and my alliance members. Everytime my shield is deactivated, they spam attack and I have to repair my city often because they will not leave me or my alliance alone. We never did bother them and I never did attack them although I did address them because they kept pursuing me and attacking my town each time I teleported away from them, and I told this to their alliance leader, but they did not listen. This game does not seem to have a bullying or an anti-harassment policy, it seems, but the developers are more focused on selling their in-game products, which is more of a nuisance and negligent to the general public and the App Store, as it is allowed.
I’ve played Kingshot now for about 7 to 8 days. I downloaded the game because I like the idea of trying to stop the enemy from getting into my town and setting up turrets and towers and stuff like that. What I wasn’t expecting was having to build up a whole city or a town and go ahead and you compete and get into all alliances I thought it was a single player game all that being said kind of disappointed on that front but everything else has been pretty great joined an alliance that’s been a blast. It’s easy to keep up with the game as you progress it does take longer to get stuff done. I realize you can go ahead and buy packs to speed that up, but I don’t have any interest in spending the money like that. The only other thing I noticed is that there’s so much going on probably way more going on than what I’m aware of, so it’s kind of difficult to keep up with everything without going online and really doing some research at the how things work but you know on the whole for the casual plane that I do. It’s a great Game.
I started playing this game because the ad seemed fun. The AD IS A LIE. the game is fully pay to play. The game is not fun. The developers are purely looking to squeeze every penny out of you. There were also issues with in game experience, the customer support was horrible and made no effort to help me. They do not care about the customer base at all. Sure! Here's a satirical, intentionally "horrible" review of Kingshot whether you're referring to a film, product, or place, I’ll keep this flexible and generic. Let me know if you meant something specific! If you ever find yourself considering Kingshot, I implore you: do literally anything else. Watch paint dry. Count grains of rice. Stare directly at the sun — it’ll be more enjoyable and probably safer for your sanity. From the very first moment, Kingshot assaults your senses with the subtlety of a jackhammer and the charm of a damp sock. The plot (if you can call it that) wanders aimlessly like a confused goose, the characters are as wooden as IKEA furniture still in the box, and the pacing makes a snail look like a NASCAR driver. Whoever thought this was a good idea must have lost a bet. If it was meant to be avant-garde, it succeeded — in the sense that it boldly challenges the definition of “entertainment.” avoid Kingshot like it's a cursed VHS tape from a haunted thrift store. If this was the king’s shot, he missed by a kingdom’s length.
So, positives about this game include excellent graphics and creative expansion of game activities. But, it’s important to remember that this game is built on exactly the same SDK as every other clan based game ever built, and it will follow the same pattern ending in the devs executing a desperate money grab until it dies in spectacular fashion. We are having our first KVK this week. Of course we’ve been “matched” with a kingdom full of whales, we have zero chance of winning so what’s the point? Everyone will blow all of their shields, and those who don’t will be one hit zero’d. Next will come the merging of states where invariably an alliance of whales will take over and make the game nearly unplayable for most. The devs will break the economy in an effort to keep new people coming in, discounting what everyone else has taken months to build up, and we’ll all start to abandon ship. I love the people I’ve met, as these games always quickly become more about the social than the game. I’ll keep playing, buying the occasional 99 cent pack, and hope that there will finally be a group of devs interested in creating something sustainable. Not holding my breath.
The game is not like advertised in the videos and trial play. It shows way different game play, different interactions and different construction and tasks than what you actually get. The real game is too similar to Lords Mobile and not in a good way. I wanted to play the game in the game ads, the game as is is just not as fun and I already spent the 8 plus years building my empire in Lords Mobile, I don’t really want to do that with a less fun and less rewarding version of the game. Yes I absolutely gave it a try, I played till level 14 on the main building called the Town Center, I’ve built and maxed all of the smaller buildings and am half way done with the larger builds. I’m on lever 5 and 6 of the troop tier and I have most of the heroes available. It really is a LM ripoff. The commercial ad shows an invading army marching in, you have to build a tower gun, you have to collect coins in order to do so, you have to build a mine behind the main building that looks like a small castle and the more enemies you kill the more coins stack up and the mines gold coins stack up to upgrade everything, but that just isn’t the game you get. It’s fraudulent is what it is and I’m sick of developers doing this bait and switch. Shame on them!
