Kings of the Castle is a vibrant and energetic 'rescue mission' that feels like a modern throwback to classic 3D platformers. Originally an Apple Arcade hit, its release as a free-to-play game with NO ads and NO in-app purchases is a rare and welcome surprise. You play as a princess on a mission to save Prince Rupert from the dragon Zantorian, and the gameplay is a delightful mix of speed-running and precision platforming. The colors are bright, the levels are mysterious, and the sense of speed as you dash through traps is exhilarating.
The game really shines in its multiplayer mode, where you can grab up to four friends via iMessage to tackle levels together. It's a fantastic family game, but the 'speed run' challenges provide enough of a technical hurdle to keep solo players engaged. The levels are well-designed with plenty of shortcuts for those willing to take risks. It’s simple, honest fun that respects the player’s time and wallet. If you’re looking for a high-quality platformer without the usual mobile gaming clutter, this is an absolute gem.
100% Free - No Ads or IAP
4-Player Online Multiplayer
9 Challenging Speed Run Levels
Vibrant, Mysterious Island Setting
Playable Entirely Offline
Many levels have gems hidden in high-risk areas. If you're going for a speed run record, skip the side-path gems and focus on the main path's momentum-based jumps.
Use the iMessage integration to invite family. In multiplayer, you can coordinate to clear traps more quickly and ensure someone always reaches the prince.
Yes, Kings of the Castle is completely free with no advertisements and no in-app purchases.
Interesting and fun movement mechanics. Short game, but it’s free so no complaints. It does feel like a proof of concept which has a lot of potential to be expanded into a more complete experience. Some kind of first person Mario World kind of game would be fun where you collect Stars and unlock secrets in each world.
I think this game is very fun and cute. I have never played a first person runner before so this is kind of fun. However, the game is basically you paying ransom. I personally don’t think you should just succumb to a villain. You should try to do something else so maybe add a version in which you try to defeat the dragon like having you jump on her head a few times also every character is female not trying to sound sexist, think there should be some male characters as well. I think it would be fun if we could defeat the enemies instead of just trying to avoid them I could have a lot of fun with that. I think this is a good start. I hope that you developers take my ideas into consideration.
I love this game. I love how it’s first person too! But I have a suggestion. It’s a game with a small concept, and I’m wondering..what if we add a story mode? The game would be much funnier and when I just feel like playing a good old role playing game, I can play that!
This is really a great game that needs more attention, great controls and very colorful graphics. Would love to have more accessible leaderboard but that’s just a nit pick.
This game is so much fun! However, I think there needs to be setting to increase the FOV so that it isn’t so zoomed in all the time. Also add more levels and let’s get this game to the top of the boards! Seriously, it has potential.
This game is super fun and addicting but only 20 levels, thankfully there are daily rounds. You can also replay any level whenever and the daily ones(you can't redo one you did a day or more ago) overall reallyyyyyy fun game!! Pls add more levels :)
I love playing this game, but it is also hard to control and look and run that but still fun to play game
