The King of Fighters 2001 is a pivotal entry in the NESTS Chronicles saga, and this mobile port brings all the high-stakes 2D fighting action to your pocket. The 'Tactical Order System' is the star here, allowing you to choose how many characters are fighters and how many are Strikers. It adds a layer of team management that was revolutionary at the time, even if the balance can sometimes feel a bit skewed toward the Strikers.
The roster is massive, featuring 40 characters including newcomers like Angel and K9999. On mobile, the virtual d-pad is responsive, though executing high-level combos and 'Super Cancel' moves definitely benefits from an external gamepad. The visuals retain that gritty, early-2000s SNK aesthetic, and the online rankings give you a reason to master your favorite three-man (or one-man) team.

You can choose a 1-on-3, 2-on-2, 3-on-1, or 4-on-0 setup. A 1-on-3 setup gives your single fighter massive damage and more super bars, while a 4-on-0 setup gives you more health pools but no strikers to help with combos.
Gameplays
Strikers can be called in to interrupt enemy combos or extend your own. Learning the timing for each character's Striker attack is the difference between a mid-tier player and a KOF master.
