Gigapocalypse is a 2D side-scrolling destruction game inspired by classics like Rampage and Godzilla. Players choose from various 'Gigas'—giant monsters based on prehistoric eras or space horrors—and wreck havoc across global cities. The game features a heavy metal soundtrack, deep skill trees, and a 'pet' system where you care for your monster in between rampages to unlock its full potential.

Our Expert Score

78/100

If you ever wanted to be Godzilla but with a cute, pixelated twist, Gigapocalypse is your game. It’s a 'destruction simulator' that tasks you with leveling cities while fending off puny humans. The loop of smashing buildings, eating people to regain health, and fighting bosses is classic arcade fun. It’s cathartic in a way that only a kaiju game can be.

The RPG elements are surprisingly deep. You can evolve your monsters, unlock new abilities, and even deck out your 'home base' with decorations. The difficulty spikes can be a bit frustrating, and it requires some grinding to get your monster strong enough for the later stages, but the sheer joy of watching a city crumble under your feet makes it worth the effort.

Amazing Game

Seriously I was so addicted to this game once I got it. It deserves all the attention the App Store can give it. It’s very rare you see a passionate game on the App Store (and I’ve played hundreds of them and most of them are cash grabby and generic). I recommend you support this game so the developer will be motivated to make a sequel or keep working on games. Seriously kudos. I would do anything for a Gigapocalypse 2 right now.

Superb Video Game

Thanks so much to the developer for this game. It’s just awesome. I love rampaging through the cities destroying everything. Plus you have multiple options to upgrade your monsters. If you enjoy a good time, I highly recommend this title.

I don’t usually review games but this one’s a real gem. Gives you that satisfying destroy everything in your path with a huge monster feeling, with tons of upgrades for the monster of your choosing.

Hi. I really like this game and I hope it gets more attention. So far my favorite Giga is Nebular shrinking down buildings and shooting high speed chunks of rocks. I also think there should be more to the story and lore about some of these Gigas. Please keep updating and thanks for the game.

This game makes me imagine a world where mobile gaming is actually fun and doesn’t consist of being pummeled with ads and micro transactions. If the devs make a sequel, I will make sure that all of my friends get it as well

Super Fun!

I am having an absolute blast playing this game. Perfect for mobile devices. Totally worth the low asking price! The monsters look super cool, and there is a surprising amount of depth! It’s like a Rampage RPG!
