Five Suits Lite is a specialized card game that caters to a very specific niche: players who find standard 52-card decks too predictable. By adding a fifth suit (often called 'Stars' or 'Eagles' depending on the deck), the game fundamentally changes the math of traditional Solitaire and Poker variants. The 'Lite' version provides a clean, no-frills entry point into this unique sub-genre. The interface is simple and functional, though it lacks the visual flair of more modern card apps.
Mechanically, it’s solid. The five-suit deck adds an extra layer of difficulty to building runs and sets, which seasoned card players will likely appreciate. However, for a casual player, the added complexity might feel more frustrating than rewarding. It’s essentially a digital deck of cards with some basic game modes built-in. If you’re a card game historian or someone looking for a new way to play Solitaire that actually requires a different strategy, this is worth a download. Otherwise, it might feel a bit sparse compared to the feature-rich card games currently on the market.
Unique 5-suit deck (65 cards)
Challenging Solitaire variations
Clean and distraction-free interface
Lightweight app size
Stats tracking for your wins and losses
In Solitaire modes, remember that the pile density is higher. You are looking for one of five suits rather than four, which means you need to be more careful about blocking your columns early on.
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the 5th suit symbols. In this version, the extra suit acts as a full equal to the others, meaning it can be used to complete any standard run or set.
In this version, the fifth suit is represented by a green Star, adding a unique color and symbol to the traditional deck.
A little hard to get used to at first, but once we caught on, it plays like the real thing. Love the “Oh, yeah”, when you meld your cards!
This is a very fun game, and 95% of the time works smoothly. But occasionally, it records an incorrect score. For example, I was playing a two-player game. The other human player opened. After I melded, I had one 7 card left. The game scored me 37! Check your score each hand!
If you play the game long enough you will notice a pattern to the computer getting wild cards. It is unusually high percentage to have a wild if not several wilds for the computer. Very unrealistic to have that many wilds in a hand. Algorithm is totally favoring the computer.
This game is great practice for Five Crowns! Additionally, I was having trouble with the size of the cards and the support person was very patient and told me how to change it.
Just played 5 crowns lite for the first time, & couldn’t stop until it’s conclusion! It was speedy, as there was clearly no waiting for opponents to take their turn👍. Totally fun!
Love this game. Had a question and the developer answered promptly!
This game is just like the real card game and is so much fun!
