Still Great! Needs an Update

I recently re-downloaded this to my new iPhone 11. I remember playing this when it first came out years ago on one of my older phones. So glad to see the game still works even though it has not been updated in three years or so. I hope the developer sees all these recent comments and reviews, and realizes that people are still playing this great little gem of a game and therefore will give it some attention that it deserves. As others have noted, scores are no longer saved and things like that. Not a big deal as long as the gameplay remains solid and non-buggy. But an update would be nice.

At least bring it up to retina standards for the next iPhone release and maybe move to Apple Arcade…This game is among some of the most addictive games on iOS EVER…it’s a shame that it has been sorely neglected…still 5 STARS even without being updated in years…!

Waist of money when compared to Fieldrunners2

I played Fieldrunners2 which was a lot of fun and worth my time but bought Fieldrunners the original to play thinking it would be better since it costs money. Well I was wrong. There's only 3 LEVELS you're able to play and another 3 that cost additional money. Plus the towers are crap, there's only 5 towers to choose from which are the most basic towers. Graphics are also terrible and very hard to follow. The levels are super easy and you don't unlock things. Fieldrunners2 is extremely fun and free so when compared this app, Fieldrunners2 should be the one that costs money. In the end it's a complete waist of money, and wouldn't be worth your time even if it was free.

QUITTING ON ME!?!?!?

I have played this silly little time-waster game fir YEARS…in this past week now it’s randomly started nit saving my game!?!?!? I’m on freaking level 300-some, and when I click on “RESUME” it acts like it’s gonna open and brings up that stays bar to show you that she’s opening your saved game…AND THEN CLOSES AND JUST SHUTS DOWN ON ME!!!!!!!!??!!!!!!!! Piece of JUNK game!!!? WHAT’S THE DEAL?????????? UGH!!!! Looks like I’m finally done with Fieldrunners….. no WAY am I wasting THIS MSNY HOURS….only to come back to play it twice in the same week and have it NOT OPEN your saved game!!!????!!!!????!!!!!! SERIOUSLY????!!!!!????!!!!!! 😬😬😬😬😬

Pointless if it won't save scores

This is a great game when it works right. But the previous version stopped working in GameCenter, and now this new version won't save any of your scores locally, either. Which, as another reviewer pointed out, kind of defeats the whole purpose. I love this game, but the developers have shown that they're not interested in delivering a quality product. Edit: the local score problem is still not fixed. If you like writing your scores down, then I guess this game could still be fun for you... Another edit: years later, they still haven’t fixed the bug where you can’t turn off the sound. There’s a control that looks like you’re turning it down, but it does nothing. It also looks terrrible, but I could accept that. They either need to remove this from the App Store or fix the simple bug with the sound and scores.

Still great

Some games are too good to let go, even if they haven’t been updated in 5years, this is such a simple amazing piece, I sometimes delete it, just too start again or stop spending time

Is this fake?

So first I went into the game as soon I saw my screen did not fit screen, felt like a game in an iframe, was super laggy... is this is fake? If this is legit, it would help others if there was a prominent explanation of how it differs (device based?) from the other field runners app that’s available with same name. Disappointed in game description and Apple for allowing it them to coexist. I paid for this hard lesson, buyer beware! Other app worked as expected.

The game is awesome but needs more levels to unlock

One thing I do not like is that you have to buy some maps maybe you can unlock them by playing a lot.
