I have become addicted to this word game. I enjoy seeing and learning many of the words I’m not familiar with. My complaint is that I use my iPad horizontally and the program won’t turn that direction. Also, it won’t even turn from the bottom to the top so my iPad can charge while I’m playing. It is very frustrating to try and not bend the cord when charging and playing at the same time. Also, some ads are quite long and some are hard to get out of. Is it really necessary to have an ad after EVERY move? I do enjoy the game but there is no way to opt for other ads. I don’t have dogs, I don’t do mail order meals, etc… I don’t mind those that have a “close” option or a “not interested” option.

As an aside, finding a game that is worthy of our time and effort deserves honest feedback to the developer. "Honest feedback" is the crown of the effort because it seeks to help not to distress a worthy creation. This feedback is positive; if negativity were the aim then no feedback would be offered, lest the truth be told. In my sailing days we kept our course by a 360° view. We relied on our experience, the correct charts, compass, telltales, trim and rail, radio, weather, and not the least - our lookout in the pulpit. The developer might think of us who play your game as lookouts in your pulpit. I like the game and the challenge to figure out what in the world you're going to do with those letters and still get points. I always believed that the best game was the one that was truest and didn't have to make it up out of nothing in order to somehow get on the board. So Entertaining!

I really love this game, It has many accessible options and if I’m being honest I could play it for such a long time! Although there is one thing I would love for this game to add is a dark mode option, This doesn’t affect my rating of five stars. I also really like this game because I feel smarter too! It helps me not only remember words and learn new ones, I also spell a lot better too! I don’t see any problems with this game.

Not fair

This is absolutely not a fair game as far as word usage goes. I’ve tried to use shortcuts like FBI or some such, and it says invalid word, but then the opposite side can play it. I’ve tried UPS and you guessed it-invalid word. But the opposite side can play it?? Rules should be equal for both sides. Also I wish that actual words would be valid????? Gemini is most definitely a word, yet it said invalid when I placed it on the board. Zion is most definitely a word yet it says invalid word. But then the computer opponent can play NTH or EDH as a word?? These are not the first words this has happened with. I don’t care what system you’re using-if you say any word used in the English language is invalid, then you need to change what system you’re using. I see mine is not the only review that is aggravated by this. It is a problem that needs fixed if you want people to continue to play.

What constitutes a word is questionable

The words used by the game’s “opponent” are often not really words. It will show you a definition from wiktionary to “prove” it’s really a word but somehow words you create that also appear on the site aren’t words you can use. Especially if it would yield a larger number of points. The opponent is still beatable even with the bias that favors the game but it takes away from the game’s legitimacy. The developer’s response that they use various different dictionaries still does not address why the game fails to acknowledge words you enter. I’ve used words that I was able to find in these same dictionaries but the game won’t accept it. It would be better if the developer invested more time improving the game instead of posting empty responses.

Auto Zoom function makes game tedious

In my opinion the auto zoom function is unnecessary. The entire board is not too small even on a phone so there really is no need for the game to zoom in. Also, when you are only trying out locations for tiles it zooms in, then you have to manually zoom out. Next tile you try, it zooms again. Makes the game tedious to play. Would be nice if it at least zoomed back out to show the full board when you select the “return tiles to tray” button.

Ads

Please get rid of some of these ads. I understand that this is a free game and you need to make some money but this is absurd. Right in the middle of putting a word in up pops an ad. Then some ads are impossible to close. I have to close the whole game out to use it again. It’s very frustrating and it soon will have me shut it down for another game. The game itself is user friendly and challenging but so many ads are a game changer to shut it down

Too Many Anti Virus Ads

Easy Words is a fun and challenging game. Unfortunately, I received too many ads that will open my internet browser with pages saying my phone is infected with viruses, and any attempts to close the browser will take me directly to the App Store to download their app. The last straw for me was when one ad abruptly opened a site saying I have viruses from viewing adult sites. I immediately deleted Easy Words afterwards.
