It's alright, but...
Sun Nov 09 2025 3jinnnFirst things first, I don't understand why people complain about the lack of functions compared to the actual console game. You should understand that it's a "companion" app and not expect it to look exactly like the ultimate team menu. For its purpose of being able to do new SBC's when i'm not home or accessing the transfer market, it's fine. However, I do have some complaints. For one the filters for searching for player items could definitely be easier to use; like why do I have to scroll and find specific club names on a small screen? Searching should be an option. Not to mention the amount of bugs I come across with numerous other features. And my biggest issue is that from time to time, when I try to press the "log in" button to access the companion app nothing happens and I have to delete and redownload the app for it to even work again.
This app needs fixing
Sat May 09 2020 XX_TOPPSGUY_XXI think that this app would be better if it changed some massive glitches and problems. The main one for me is that if you add a concept player into an SBC, and then go buy the concept player to put into the SBC, the chemistry goes down by one. It makes SBC significantly more difficult and it’s genuinely ridiculous. You expect that if you have a concept player in the SBC squad, and the chemistry is, say, 75, after you buy that player, it should still be 75 chem, because that’s what the app shows. This is not a problem on console, thankfully, but this is ridiculous. I hope someone that has the capability to fix this issue reads this and fixes it. This was not a problem in the FIFA 19 web app, and this problem began to occur around the 3rd month the game was out. Also, something minor but helpful, is that when you tap on a player and it shows “send to club”, “remove from squad”, etc., when you tap “search on transfer market”, it would be a lot better if there was a smaller arrow below the large arrow at the very top left of the screen to go back to the “send to club”, “remove from squad”, etc. screen, so that it’s easier to to lower or raise the price, depending on what you need, instead of having to go back to the squad, tapping on the player again, and going to “search on transfer market”. Something else that could be helpful is separating untradeable consumables from tradeable ones, and being able to change how many of that consumable you want to list on the transfer market, instead of having to one by one list for the same price. It would save so much time and would be tremendously efficient. Other than that it’s a decent app and helps manage my FUT teams. If the problems above were fixed, I think the app would be a lot better.
Reoccurring Bug
Tue Mar 12 2019 ko.32This app works great when it lets you log in, it has some minor imperfections, like not letting you see the full stats for sbc players, not being able to build a squad with a preset concept player option etc..all things that can be ignored (for now). The biggest problem is the ability to log in. I understand when you are playing on your console, you may not go into the app, but when I have been logged off (and my console has been turned off) for more than 20 minutes, and i still cant access my squad on the app is infuriating. This has been a problem since the beginning of this companion app. It doesn’t communicate with its servers and it makes no sense. What if i turned off my ps4 before a trip and i went on my phone to check my squad or sbc’s and it wouldnt let me due to me “still being logged in on console” and i had to wait until i went home again....i shouldnt have to relaunch fifa to log in and log back out just to be able to use this app..its a major inconvenience and should've been solved on day 2 but its is now a few years in and this problem is occurring...unacceptable...
Good Not Perfect
Fri Apr 25 2025 Savin GillIt’s Good but in some ways it’s not I will tell you 4 reasons why reason #1 it makes you log in over and over each time sometimes I have a problem with it sometimes I don’t reason #2 it doesn’t let you open the app when your already playing on your console and you have a pick and you are trying to replace a player and comparing your stats reason #3 when you’re connected to Internet I need to try to login. Sometimes it doesn’t even let you and says no Internet. Please connect to Internet. reason #4 some features on the companion app are glitchy. These are all my four reasons I recommend it if you’re like on the go and you’re trying to do an SBC or just change your squad up but it’s not perfect. It’s good. I would say I would highly recommend for EA to fix this.
Better, but not best
Sun Mar 30 2025 absentspaceOver the last few game cycles, this app has made steady improvements with eliminating crashes and glitches. It’s mostly stable right now. A handful of QOL upgrades have come in the form of squad building with SBC storage and Max/Min OVR filters. One spot that needs some attention is the “My Packs” section. If you really play this game, you will acquire more packs than you can actually open and process. Most will be low level grind packs or crafting packs. It is exhausting scrolling down a single infinite list of all of my packs trying to find the one that I want to open. Please implement some type of organizational and search function so that for instance, my 85x5 isn’t buried under several dozen 77x3 packs. Either stack identical packs with a quantity value, or folders, or search would lessen the headache of managing packs in this app. And it’s not even possible in game anymore, as only my bronze packs are visible. So please, for the love of FUT, improve pack management.
Way too buggy

Always glitching and prompts an update every time I open the app UPDATE 4/9: This app is worse than I thought. I had to come back here and give more feedback. Keep in mind I’m not exaggerating. This app freezes up and needs restarted at least every 10 minutes. The bug that requires an update every time I open the app is still there. And its simply just trash. This companion app is the best way to make coins and manage my squad when I’m at work but it’s sooooo bad that I don’t even think I wanna play Fifa anymore. The devs don’t care about this game or app anymore and it’s a shame. FUT companion is a perfect example of how NOT to make an app. 4/12 This app is trash. It astonishes me that this big of a company is letting there apps go so long without simple bug fixes. They’re not fixing all these problems because they’re working on next years game/app? If this years game/app is this bad, then $%#! next years! Idk for a fact but I’d say you losing players for this negligence. There’s a lot of reviews and feedback of people saying that they lost big portions of there gold coin earnings because of how buggy it is. I never thought I’d see the day where apps are crashing every 5 -10 minutes and the company is okay with it and knows it. Ugh I’m done with these games. All of us need to give our support to Konami and help make football games great again! If Konami had the funding that FIFA had I guarantee they’d make a better game.

Fri Jul 24 2020 Xbox:Observedtrout27This app is really good and thanks to the new update it is easier to find specific cards you are looking in the transfer market but then sometimes the app freezes and I can’t do anything and I have to log back in. Also in the transfer market there are times were after a couple of bids you can’t bid any more so you have to log out and log back in. But overall it would be the best app if it weren’t so freeze most of the time and sometimes. Also this app sometimes doesn’t save my squad so when I play on console I have to make my squad all over again. Also I would like FIFA to help buy FIFA points through the mobile app so you can pay through an iPhone gift card. This app helps me make my team better without going on a console.
Terrible unstable app
Tue Sep 08 2020 FIFA GOATThis app is absolutely awful when it comes to the transfer market as it will often not allow you to make a bid after a certain amounts of bids made. It just gives an error and you have to quit the app to in order to get the transfer market to work again. The problem with that is the app is so slow to start that you will often lose the bid (for the price you were prepared to beat) by the time the app reboots. Also if you use the app for multiple things, during a single session the app will often freeze up. For example, if you poke around in squad building challenges or look at your active squad and then go to another section of the app, the pages will often stop loading and the buttons stop working forcing you to kill the app. I have to quit the way too many times per session, and end up using the app in small increments of 1-2 minutes where I preemptively quit and restart the app for me to give this app anything but the 1 Star I gave it. Fix the app!
