Fixed a bug that made the close button of the retirement window be off screen on tablets
Duck Life 9: The Flock is easily the most ambitious entry in the series to date. Moving away from the strictly linear progression of the past, the open-world island feels alive and begging to be explored. Being able to switch between different ducks on the fly adds a layer of team management that was previously missing. I found myself actually caring about the 'stats' of my individual ducks, building a specialized squad rather than just one super-duck.
The mini-games are as addictive as ever, but they feel more polished here. The 3D transition is handled beautifully, maintaining the series' signature charm while giving it a modern face-lift. Whether you are a long-time fan or a newcomer, the gameplay loop of training, racing, and exploring is incredibly satisfying. It's a wholesome, deep, and genuinely funny RPG that offers dozens of hours of content.
Massive 3D open-world island to explore
Manage and customize a flock of up to 10 ducks
Brand new training mini-games for all skills
Dynamic team-based racing mechanics
Wander the island to find wild ducks. Some have higher potential in swimming or flying. Approach them and complete a challenge to add them to your flock.
In team races, you can swap ducks at checkpoints. Use your high-stamina runner for the hills and your fastest swimmer for the river sections.
Search every corner of the island for 'Golden Seeds' and hidden shops. Discovering new areas unlocks more advanced training facilities.
Play various mini-games to level up specific stats. The better you perform in the game, the more experience your duck gains toward their next level.
Absolutely! You can equip hats, accessories, and even change their feather patterns at the island boutiques.
1. When I try to place paths I can’t do anything else to stop and 90 % of the game freeze and if you press place on areas where you can’t place it to much it completely freezes. 2. In demo adds crashed my game 3. The game also lagged and I know it’s big, but my device can hand balloons tower defense 6 it takes until round 200 area to start lagging and I’d guess there would hundreds of things on screen and all those things are dealing 10’s of thousands of damage that’s being calculated with not zeros in the digit places but specific numbers that could be a zeros down to the 1s place and same things with taking a calculated amount of damage in the hundreds of thousands which is very difficult. So I was surprised when I was facing bad lag heavy lag in this game
You do kinda get a good glimpse at some fun things in the game that could make it quite something when it comes to training, puzzles, getting timing down to some other advanced things, finding strategies to do things quicker, it can be fun and worth the 5 bucks. Only if you can get past the tutorial. However, as expected, there are still quite a few flaws. The distressed ducks, turns out the only one that affects them is sleepiness, but it said that when ducks are distressed, they’ll work slower. And that sleep part, it basically stops them from working. And that’s very misleading. I honestly think that you could add the signs of distress from perhaps the rest of them. Maybe boredom being the exception if any, I guess? And then the flying training? Awfully broken. You need pro training from your ducks just to train them. That’s been apparently going on for a while. Then if you have more than 5 ducks, no matter what quality your device or computer is, it’s gonna lag and glitch a bit. Then the way the ducks move their eyes has me thinking they’re mesmerized by something. And there’s still a few more flaws. But otherwise, 3 stars (2.6) sounds right. Thanks for reading.
The full game is half the price of the original version on PC, and the demo seems to give a good amount to sample. Hopefully if sales go well, they can remove ads from the freeplay version. They don’t interrupt gameplay and are skippable, so if you dont hate ads entirely it shouldn’t bother you. I wanted to get through the whole free section before writing a review, but I stopped after a few minutes, and I’m only giving 3 stars for that reason, despite it seeming like a high quality game. This is because I could quickly feel the heat of my phone warming up. Vibration is not only turned on by default, but currently there is no setting to turn it off. There is a button for “low power mode” in the settings, which is something I always turn on, but it is either broken or has not been implemented yet. I was only playing for a few minutes and did 3-4 rounds of a minigame. If they add these options, I will try to come back and judge the free part of this game. If it’s 5 stars then, maybe I will purchase it. ^^
Absolutely so much fun and I love everything so far, it’s so interactive and great story lines and so much to do and the training is fun. However, i’ve experienced a bug where I can’t train flying at all. I unlocked brad and he’s in my training center, and I can load into the first level and the platform breaks and then there’s no where to fly to. There’s what look likes ice blocking the path that i’m supposed to fly to reach the cannon. The ice makes my duck fail every single time and there’s no alternate paths. I’ve maxed my swimming and running levels to 50. However flying is stuck at 0 until this glitch is somehow fixed.
Ok, first I want to point out that this game is absolutely fantastic! The graphics are gorgeous and 3D modeling was implemented well. However, the “free” button is a sham. That only means you get the demo version of the game and you have to pay $5 for the real game. Wix, do better than this! Do what you did with Duck Life 4 where there are two separate apps! Who cares if it is released 1 week later, I would much rather know that the full game cost money beforehand. Again, it is still part of the game but it is about 10% of the game. A lot less than I expected. So if you are getting this game, note that it is only the demo and that the full thing costs $5.
As the title says, it is so hard I can’t even get through the tutorial. Well I have gone through the tutorial but at the same time I haven’t got through the tutorial here let me tell you what I mean so I decided to get this game cause I thought it looked fun And then it was not fun at all. Let’s me say it was gonna be fun. But then it wasn’t so fun I don’t even know how to recruit a duck. Also, it keeps telling me to get to level three when I’m on level five also it’s telling me go to a race though I don’t know how to do that and it’s not showing me how. all it’s doing is just keep saying it just keeps saying when I go through. you know past the stairs, spoiler alert when I go to the little village I can’t recruit anybody. Also I don’t even know what to do.
I love this game and I only have the free version. it is already my favorite game of the duck life series with better graphics and animal verity compared to other duck life games.i do miss the battle aspect but the game is still great. it does have some bugs though like every time I leave training it won’t let me off the loading screen and I’m forced to reset the game also the flying training doesn’t work and I can’t get exp from it I’m not if it’s because I need the full version or if it’s a bug but overall this is a great game.
I really want to give this 5 stars, however, there are far too many bugs to make this game playable. First of all, I can’t ever train running, as anytime I try and exit the training, it puts me on an endless loading screen. The only way to stop it is to reload the game, but none of my progress saves, nor the running experience I gained. On that note as well, the game has progress saving issues. Anytime I close the game to go do something else, none of my progress in the base saves. It revert me all the way back to what I did yesterday. This is really frustrating as I know I would enjoy the game. But until this game becomes playable, this 1 star stays and I’m asking for my refund.
