Doodle Mafia continues the successful 'Doodle' formula by JoyBits, this time diving into the gritty world of crime and law enforcement. The core mechanic remains the same—combining two elements to create a third—but the thematic shift to gangs, heists, and city building adds a layer of complexity that was missing from earlier titles. You can play as a Crime Boss to build your empire or as a Cop to stop the chaos, providing two distinct perspectives on the same puzzle ecosystem.
The logic can sometimes be a bit 'abstract' (as is tradition for the series), leading to moments of trial-and-error that might frustrate some. However, the satisfaction of finally figuring out how to create a 'Mafia Don' or a 'SWAT team' is high. The art style is consistent with the brand, and the 'City' mode—where your combinations actually affect the visual growth of your criminal underworld—is a welcome addition that gives your progress more weight.

If you are stuck, look at the category icons. They often give a hint about what type of element (e.g., person, weapon, or place) is missing to complete a specific crime syndicate.
Switch between the 'Mafia' campaign to build an empire and the 'Cop' campaign to dismantle it, each featuring unique combinations and questlines.
The game includes a hint system that regenerates over time, or you can use in-game currency to reveal specific combinations.
I’ve played both Doodle God and Doodle Devil, and this is by far my favorite so far. Especially notable is the introduction of actions (verb) as element type to be applied to objects (noun), such as “Explore” + “Gas Stand” to visit the gas stand and find more elements. This allows for addition of campaign mode, serving as story telling tool and adding puzzle solving to the formula. My only complaint is that when you select a combination that leads to failing a mission in the campaign mode, you are not able to read the flavor text explaining why the fail happened as they immediately get covered by a large text box prompting you to exit and try again. Please solve this by moving the text box, or allowing us to dismiss it to read the text underneath!
I want more episodes getting to higher crimes like political corruption and taking on the mafia . By the way does this mean that we will never see doodle tank be updated
Doodle's games usually display a witty quote attributed to a historical character when you create a match. It seems like they outsourced this game though, because some of the "quotes" are very poorly worded English. Other than that it is the usual entertaining game play.
I love this game the most out of all the Doodle games. I don't even know why
I think it's really entertaining
So far an enjoyable and nuanced next installment in the Doodle series
Pretty killer. I loved Doodle god and liking this so far too. Worth it
Great game! Creative and challenging! 😁
