Fixed minor issues.
Cavern Adventurers is a cozy, yet deceptively deep simulation game that feels like a cross between a city builder and a classic dungeon crawler. You aren't just sending heroes into a hole in the ground; you're managing the entire infrastructure of the cavern. You have to build inns for the heroes to sleep in, shops to sell them gear, and even decorative parks to keep the monster-hunting morale high.
The pixel art is charming and full of tiny details—watching a tiny warrior upgrade their sword and then trot off into the darkness to fight a dragon is endlessly endearing. What I love about this game is the balancing act: if you make the cavern too easy, the heroes don't level up and you make less money, but if you make it too hard, they never come back. It’s a wonderful 'management-lite' experience that works perfectly in portrait mode for one-handed play. Kairosoft fans will find a lot to love here.
Charming retro-style pixel graphics
Deep management and town-building mechanics
Diverse roster of heroes with unique classes
Expandable multi-level cavern systems
Tons of unlockable buildings and decorations
Place your 'General Store' and 'Inn' near the entrance of the cavern. Heroes who have to walk too far while injured are more likely to flee the cavern entirely. A well-placed 'Healing Fountain' halfway through a dungeon level will keep heroes fighting longer, increasing your overall revenue.
You can 'Invite' specific monsters to live in your cavern using specialized lures. Stronger monsters drop better loot, but they also require you to have high-level adventurers currently in town. Monitor the 'Hero Success Rate' to ensure your monsters aren't too overwhelming for your guests.
Yes, Cavern Adventurers is a fully offline experience with no internet connection required.
I absolutely adore Kairosoft and most of the games they make; I check their store frequently and rarely hesitate to buy games when they come out. This one didn’t tickle my fancy quite as much. Most Kairosoft games have many different things you can do to progress, but this one is pretty unidirectional
I hesitated playing due to the negative reviews across the web, but I’m glad I did as it’s one of the few kairo-games I’ve chosen to do new games+. It was definitely different than most of their games, but I really enjoyed the break from their tried and true method. It was a lot of fun unlocking all of the floors and buildings, and I appreciated having the combos unlock when you unlocked the building. The “gacha” spins for the S on the hour made me come back a lot, so I sunk a bunch of time getting all I could. Every purchase helps out Sally Prin! ;)
This title doesn’t live up to Kairosoft’s well-deserved reputation. There are so many half-baked and poorly executed mechanics that the overall package seems like a hot mess. Which is sad, because the core idea has a lot of potential! After finishing the game (8hrs playtime), I still cannot explain how things are supposed to work. Or why you would ever want to build most of the things you unlock. So I’d recommend you sit this one out, and get back to maxing out your Dungeon Village 2 save. You’ll have a better time.
Since this game came out I've been trying to ignore this because of the bad reviews. but the whole game is completely different from Dungeon Village2. And different grind too. Who ever made that bad review is a big troll for doing us dirty like that 😅. This game have potential, proper strategy and grind you can get an S hero early game!
You see here what happens when a developer isn’t allowed to fully program all the concepts into a cohesive unit. All great elements are here but you don’t need to do anything ever than buy one weapon. So uncoordinated. So much potential here. I feel like dungeon village 2 (same developer) perfected this model. Try that one out first.
This game is definitely not the best the studio has created. HOWEVER… start the game, name your cave “your butthole”. The amount of laughs you will get makes it so much better. 10-10 would dive into “your butthole” again and again.
The usual Kairosoft fare of great graphics around a simple play style and outcome. There’s a fair bit of watching involved in this one, and perhaps a little less interaction than others, but it scratches the itch well enough.
The concept is great but UI is horrible to play on the phone which make it not enjoyable. It really hurts your eyes. This game also have a lot of in-game currencies (non-IAPs) to deal with which makes it confusing to play, some learn curve compare to other games.
