This update brings performance improvements and a smoother gameplay experience.
Block Crush is a refreshingly vibrant take on the classic block puzzle genre. While the market is flooded with wood-themed iterations, Block Crush opts for a high-energy, candy-colored aesthetic that keeps the gameplay feeling lively rather than just relaxing. As an enthusiast of spatial reasoning games, I found the block variety and the responsive 'crush' animations to be top-tier for mobile feedback.
The game balances the tension of a filling board with generous combo rewards. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it polishes the mechanics to a mirror finish. The progression system feels meaningful without being intrusive, making it a perfect 'waiting in line' game. It's easy to pick up but surprisingly difficult to master once the high-score chase begins and the board space becomes a premium commodity.
Vibrant neon-style graphics
Endless high-score mode
Satisfying sound effects and haptics
Offline play support
Always prioritize keeping the center of your board open. Large 3x3 square blocks appear randomly and can end your run instantly if you haven't reserved space for them in the corners or center.
Clearing multiple lines at once triggers a 'Crush' bonus. Wait until you have two or three lines nearly full, then drop a single piece to clear them all for a massive score multiplier.
No, Block Crush is a turn-based puzzle game, allowing you to take as much time as you need to strategize.
I absolutely love this game!! When I get to play it. No mistakes are allowed, nor are you allowed win a level! But the ads, all three of them, great graphics! Sound quality is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! But these three ads!! Man buddy! They don’t even offer you an option to opt out of the ads! You get lucky if they give you the chance to play two levels in a row.. but buddy don’t fall for the ads.. I’ve downloaded all three and sent them back to the Cloud!! But the challenge of some of the games is worth the play… but man buddy every time you miss up or every time you beat a level!! , you get to watch those same THREE ADS!! Strangely I come back every day.. it’s great to keep your brain active and watch 3 ads
UPDATE: It has happened again!!!……After I wrote this review, the developer messaged me and said sorry it wouldn’t happen again. This time I got to level 92 and it reset me. I was right the first time. This game is garbage ( I changed my stars from 2 to 1 I was having so much fun paying this game at first. I loved how it gradually got more difficult…Then when I got all the way to level 68, the game just started back at level 1 !!! I sent an email (with no response) and decided to try again. Then I got to level 81 and the same thing :-( I sent another message (with no response of course) and decided to try ONE last time…not joking, I got ALLLL the way to level 95 and the dumb game reset to Level 1!!! I spent 3 days getting there. I hope they fix this dumb game. It would’ve been nice to beat it and get a little (nice job” graphic. But maybe they don’t even have one. I’m sure my third and final email won’t get a response. Oh well, moving on to one of the better block games. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ONE.
I saw this game on my husband‘s tablet for a month or two months before I had a situation with my phone where I couldn’t be on my phone until he let me play with his tablet and I played the game and it was really pretty fun and so then I put it on my phone and oh my goodness it’s really a lot of fun and it’s very captivating and it’s not overly traumatizing when you end the game and then you just start again. I find myself enjoying it more and more. I highly recommend it.
Look, I get that when you download a free game that you’ll be inundated with ads. It’s part of the hustle by the 1% to steal our data and sell it to the highest bidder. Not ideal, but whatever, I accept it because the people aren’t revolting en masse. What I don’t like is when the ads play out for over a minute and there is no “x” to close the window. Nope, you’re left with the option of downloading whatever app or game they’re pushing on you, or sitting in the ad screen forever until you decide to close the app. That’s when I delete the game and throw it into the dustbin of Tetris knockoffs.
My mom was playing this game and I started being interested in it to. So I asked my mom if I could get it, but it was 13+! I asked and asked until she let me get it. When I got it I played it and played it! I played it at the airport and on the plane. When we got to our hotel I played it before I went to bed. I played it when I was in the car and I loved it, but I’m addicted to it now! The point is, it’s an awesome game, but it’s totally addicting!
Gameplay is decent, until you reach the point where the game will simply not allow you to advance without having to watch more ads to get additional pieces to complete a level. Speaking of ads, they’re ridiculous. Ads after every ATTEMPT, whether successfully completed or not, with no ability to skip, most require multiple taps just to get through. Good gameplay only goes so far. Being punished with endless ads isn’t gonna cut it. I don’t know how this gets a 4.9 rating - no way a game that makes you spend more time watching ads than actually playing gets more than a 2.
I used to love these types of games (Tetris) back when I was a kid. I was excited to see this one. I love the actual game play, but the ads are awful. There is no way to get out of them. You’re forced to play their ad game that you have no interest in. Even when you’re done with the ad game play, you can’t leave the screen to get back to Block Crush. I remembered hearing a hack of putting your phone on airplane mode to block out the ads but that doesn’t work. I’ll probably end up deleting it if I can’t find another way other than restarting the whole app to get out of the ad games.
The game is great when you can play it but the amount of ads is about double the play time. One ad for another game literally doesn’t let you out. If you tap on the screen anywhere a pop up with “get” shows up. Literally no way to get out of it until it finishes whatever it’s gonna do and you think you’re home free but nope, got at least another minute or more of the game itself. The longer you (try) to play, the less game and more ads you get. Lasted less than a few hours and it was deleted. I play games. The games have ads. They are not this intrusive and irritating This is next level. Don’t waste your time or sanity with this one
