Do not buy coins here!
Mon Jul 20 2020 KittyluvsmooshiThink twice before you purchase coins on this site. After years of just ignoring the SUPER SPIN, I decided to give it a try. A huge mistake! The lowest amount on the wheel was 470,000 coins with a maximum of 3 million for 99 cents. Pretty tempting, right? Well, once I paid, rather than letting me spin the wheel, they just added 90,000 coins to my account. 90,000? Why? So I sent an email, the response was the “free Mega Bonus” randomly lands on a slot. Keep spinning and good luck!!!! In other words, the person did not even read my post. So, I took a screen shot of the wheel and sent it with more explanations. They then added another 10,000 coins. Again, I sent another screen shot of the wheel with more explanations. I added I did not understand why the person was ignoring the problem and demanded that they either refund me the .99 cents or let me spin the wheel to collect what is rightfully mine. At the same time, I contacted the app which I used to pay for the wheel spin and asked for a refund. This morning, again another 500,000 coins were added to my account rather than letting me spin the wheel. I am totally exhausted dealing with this game site. Never again will I purchase coins from them. It is not worth the hassle!
Not a good game for people with short temper
Mon Jan 25 2021 canemint23Nothing new to say here, I’m sure you have all read the countless reviews on dice algorithms. The game developers promise this is randomized but there’s an odd pattern to it that makes it look purposely done. If the 1 and 6 spots are blocked at the opposing players side I promise you’ll roll a 6 1 and be stuck there. This can’t be random. For people who play this in real life they know exactly what random dice combos look like. This game will give a player 3-4 doubles in a row. Statistically if you take 2 dice throw it the odds of rolling doubles a SINGLE time is 16.6%.... the fact that some people get it 3 or 4 times in a row is not impossible but statistically not probably at all. That’s a 1 in 1296 occurrence and you can look this up. I’ve played about 600 games on the app and this has happened multiple times so developers please realize that when we say it’s not randomized we don’t mean you guys rig the games but the algorithm for the dice are extremely unrealistic and you should find the proper solution. I know I’m gonna get a message saying “ we can assure you we use the best dice algorithm blah blah blah”. I know you guys tried but please look for a better way of doing this because it ruins the game.
House always wins even when you win it’s because they let you win
Tue Dec 30 2025 Lucinda89I’ve been playing this app for awhile. It has beautiful graphics but totally same game all the time. If there are real people playing on this app it’s hard to tell with the heavy handed bots controlling every aspect of the game. The bots try to destroy you with exact rolls and then you get typically blocked and have only one move. It is the MOST UNREALISTIC backgammon game out there. Find a friend to play with instead of using this app. I think often of the game developers and wonder if they are trying to get people to hate backgammon? It seems they are intent on creating a negative experience when you just want to play a few games to unwind. How can you unwind when you are entering into a unfair game from the start? I finally figured out that actually they are all bots with a real person playing once in awhile. No one wants to play a unfair game to have fun. I mean that’s the point right? The point is to have fun and improve your game? How can you do that when the game already knows it’s next move. So my advice, identify the bots and let people know when they are playing the machine. I feel like I’m playing the same game every time I can predict their moves cause it’s just like the last game. THIS GAME COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER BUT it’s not. The house always wins. Look I just want to play and it’s not fun to watch a bot play while you get no moves. Is that the intent?
Don’t Waste Your Time & Money
Thu Dec 12 2019 IckyShartIf you want to play REAL backgammon, hop on PlayOk or another reputable site. This app is a complete money-grabbing sham, and for them to say otherwise is even worse. I honestly don’t know where to begin. Their “online standard” 15% minimum rake is blasphemy. Maybe if one could cash in the coins for real money, that would make sense; similar to a casino poker room. But not only are you buying coins that have zero monetary value, they skim off your winnings, making it virtually impossible to get ahead in coins. And that is even with a >50% win rate! The dice algorithm is absolutely cooked. If you’re miles ahead, prepare to see double after double after double. If you’re on the bar looking at 3 open spaces, you can almost forget about getting in. Then (you guessed it!) doubles to block you in. The game plays impossibly “lucky”. I can’t count how many times I’ve opened the game with a 5-1 or 6-2, get hit immediately, and don’t get off the bar until after the opponent has eaten 4 blots. The odds of that happening once are less than 0.1%, so the fact it’s happened on multiple occasions on this app tells you everything you need to know. Not to mention I have never had that happen in my favor. You are a fool if you give these crooks your hard earned money. If you are new to backgammon, stay far away because this is NOT how the game is played. I have played my last game on this app, and I hope many of you will be soon to follow.
Criminally bad game
Fri Oct 07 2022 HogdynastyI have been played hundreds of thousands of games of backgammon at a very high level for over 40 years and have seen more than my fair share of unusual and amazing rolls , games, matches and tournaments. This site, "Lord of the board", however, takes the cake by obliterating the laws of probability to levels that would make a stats professor tear his hair out and vomit in disbelief. At one point I started filming a series of 25-30 straight losing games that looked like a script from Jackass or Punked. Opponent need 3 straight dub 6s to win? No problem whatsoever. Opponent has 3 on the bar with your home 5 spot only open. Not only will they out with the dub 5s but you get hit as well with regularity. I will be posting this video somewhere soon for all to see the mathematical marvel that is emblematic of this ridiculously bogus program/game. Thank God I don't play for money on this site because it is so predictably fixed that I could write a novel citing dozens of examples of their patterns of unethical foolishness that have a virtually zero probability of happening in a real game. And they happen with predictable regularity. Chatting with an opponent has been eliminated to protect their computer generated players masquerading as human ones. If you want to experience the most frustrating exhausting and infuriating and fixed game on the planet then by all means download "Lord of the Board". They will deliver all of the above and more.
Fun but I’m realistic
Tue Jun 10 2025 Travel CamelYou’ve seen it here before. The most unrealistic computerized algorithms. It’s almost laughable. You definitely have winning streaks and losing streaks. When you’re on your losing streak just walk away and wait 24 hours. It seems to generate one day on one day off. You may win one out of every 10 games. And if you take a lighthearted approach you will laugh when they get five doubles in a row. You might cry when the only move that they have to land on you pops up three different times in the same game?If you play long enough you can pretty much guess what the computer is going to roll for your opponent. It’s really obvious when you’re playing in the novice player. He doesn’t know what he’s doing, and the rolls he gets are perfect But they don’t have the skill to use them. It comes up multiple times. Take it for what it is. Have fun but when you’re see yourself losing, put the game away don’t spend money. I think that’s what they’re hoping for is to frustrate the player until they lose everything and they purchase more. I repeat!!! Absolutely do not buy coins here. You will lose them guaranteed!! I will be up 2 the 3 million. And even playing conservatively. You’re losing streak the punishes your account to zero. Don’t listen to the developer saying our algorithms are the most up-to-date blah blah blah. They want to make money so they make sure you lose yours

I enjoy defeating their algorithm & little fixes dice rolls. Am a highly ranked international backgammon player and this is designed & developed with many strange bells & whistles to distract & destroy your confidence in fair play. Avoid the timer lies & first mover advantage always given to ai robot players posing as real…these bots are designed to continuously behave as a time cheating opponent …it steals your money and uses gamer type psychology algorithms to hack your payment method. All games should not charge you to play…there is no clear doubling cube as in normal backgammon which can be played for points like rice grains! Try Mancala which is more complex yet satisfying without phony fake pseudo “random’ dice rolls. This backgammon doesn’t offer Nardo or other versions of backgammon teaching proper style strategy tactics & techniques to build understanding for new players! Also the chat room emojis are childish immature & do not promote proper game etiquette (e.g. ‘good game’ ‘lucky roll’ ‘excellent move’ ‘u got me’ ‘wish the dice 🎲 🎲 were in your favor’ ‘sorry’ ‘thanks’)
Fun at first
Wed Aug 27 2025 AmesaklvUpdate: as predicted the developer respond with their rehearsed answer about it being “completely fair.” Read the recent reviews, they are nearly all negative due to the LACK of fairness. The inability to win and the rigged system. The developer cannot be trusted. It’s fun at first but there are a TON of built in pop ups (not ads) trying to get you to spend money on coins/packs and as you progress through levels you cannot complete challenges without playing the “expensive” games and then nearly every game player doubles the challenge. This is inherently frustrating. I just want to be able to play the game, not double every single time or resign. There should be an option to decline the double and still play the game at the original coin level. Once you pass level 20 or so it’s nearly impossible to win games, it’s completely rigged. I keep reading the developer responses that it’s “completely fair” it is in fact not. Most of the recent reviews are very negative. Older reviews are positive which is what they show when you first open the app profile. To make it better, Reduce the pop ups. Add in a free “computer play” option. Allow the lower coin levels to earn rewards for the challenges. Create a fair and non rigged system. I actually opened the App Store today to find a different backgammon because this one is so frustrating.
