Have fun with this Mahjong solitaire game!
I was playing another Mahjong game and had tournaments that were challenging and wonderful. I did very well on that game and was #1 in most of them. I wake up early and love starting with a peaceful, mind awakening game that gets my brain working. Felt wonderful. Was playing it for about 3 months, 2 for sure and all of the sudden there were annoying adds that made me feel angry—not peaceful so early in the morning. That made me delete it. I was GONE!! Please don’t let that happen to me on this game. I’m starting slow because it is a little different. But, I’m getting my rhythm going. Thank you. Please keep it calm. Wonderful way to start the day.
I originally rated this at two stars but after getting the developer response I updated it to one star as they are in denial. They said there are no unclosable or unskippable ads and I will take their word for it and say, there are many ads that go on for minutes at a time with no apparent way to close them or skip them. It makes the game not worth keeping. They said to make sure it stays updated but that is no longer necessary as I just uninstalled it and found another option elsewhere. I’m fine paying a flat fee for a game but not interested in perpetually paying fees to use it. Good luck if you decide to download and use this game without turning it into a subscription, and if you get games like this on a subscription basis then you have a different financial view than I do, and enjoy the game. Original review follows: After a few rounds, ads start coming up after the game is completed. There is no close button and it just stays there so you have to close the game and go back in.
I really love the game itself. It moves quickly & has many variations but a game takes a minute or two & then you have to sit through ads for other games between each game. I’ve gotten to where I only play the daily game pack. The ads are short as you can hit the skip button after 15-30 secs but then another comes up & then another & sometimes I make it through all of those the I have to skip through another set. I’ve already deleted two games I really liked because it says no ads but shorts you on moves to solve the puzzle so you can get more moves. Bad idea developers. I play Vita Mahjong & don’t have to see any ads. Play it most. I play at night when in pain & can’t sleep & you just annoy me with the ads. Give an opt out like some do. I don’t mind paying a small fee to play w/o ads.
This is the best Mahjong I’ve played (and I’ve tried many, many others). The tiles are large & easy to see (for those of us who are visually challenged) and no ads! I’m really enjoying this game and completely hooked. I’ve wiled hours away just for fun. The graphics are really cool too, and the panda is adorable. Truly a wonderful game. Thanks to the creators for the no ad thing; that’s a massive frustration with other mahjong I’ve tried.
Says no ads but after the first few levels it starts with an ad after every level. I am not opposed to having ads to gain extra shuffles or other things or even every 10 levels or something. But every level is insane. Especially when the ad I watched that got me to download said no ads. They have shown on other reviews that they lied on purpose and justified it saying these ads are not annoying and can’t be skipped which is but they are annoying and can’t be skipped right away. They are liars and they don’t have ads the first few levels. That’s how I know they did it on purpose. Don’t advertise no ads when you have ads. It unprofessional. I would pay for no ads but not too company lying about it. It isn’t no ads just because you think skipping an add after sitting through most of it is no ads just because it is still an ad.
I downloaded this game because it said there would be be no ads. The first day I played it there were no ads that interrupted the game. Just a banner ad that was at the bottom of the screen after playing the game for a couple of days there popped up a video after that I could skip after about 15 seconds. Now I have the ad runs for 30 seconds and when I skip it brings me to the App Store and I close that and then the ad continues for another 30 seconds. And then after that another ad comes on making me do the same thing all over again. This happens every time I clear a board. This game advertises that it has no ads, it lies
Update: I do understand that ads are essential to keep games free. I also understand that closing the ads can be very difficult for those with sight and memory issues, disabilities. Ads usually have a similar system to close them but not every time, that leaves one searching. An x that says “To store” can scare a novice into not touching it, when actually all you have to do is x out of the window. Perhaps putting pressure on advertisers into stream lining their ads to accommodate more people with disabilities that want to use your game and not drown in frustration. The x’s are too small most of the time, in addition the coloring of the x’s disappears into the ad. —————————————————- The tiles are large enough for seniors, awesome. This was advertised as no ads, yet after level 12 ads are popping up constantly. My mom has memory loss, she remembers how to play mahjong but can’t manage getting out of ads. My good intentions have left her very frustrated. Should be advertised for those with declining eye sight includes ads.
Dot listen to the reviews that say there are no ads. There are a TON of adds once you get past level 30! They fake you out, making you think there won’t be any ads. But then they bombard you with them once you get passed a certain level. I get it, ads being in money. That’s not the issue. The issue is, that I downloaded this game based off an ad that said there were no annoying ads in this game. It’s just a lie. And that’s the uncool part. It was an instant delete off my phone, for me. And that’s too bad. But there are so many other Mahjong games out there that still use ads, but don’t lie about it.
