Fixed an issue with the game not starting correctly.
1775: Rebellion is one of the best digital board game ports I've ever played. It manages to capture the tension of the American Revolution perfectly without getting bogged down in overly complex rules. The map is clear, and the dice-based combat is fast and exciting.
The asymmetric gameplay between the British and the Americans (and their respective allies) makes every match feel different. It's a great balance of luck and strategy. Whether you're playing solo or with friends, it feels like a high-stakes historical struggle that rewards careful planning and bold moves.
Faithful adaptation of the award-winning board game
Single-player against 3 difficulty AI levels
Cross-platform online multiplayer and pass-and-play
3 historical scenarios and a full campaign
In-depth tutorial for new players
To win, your side must control the most colonies by the end of the game. A colony is controlled if only your side's units occupy at least one area within it and no enemy units are present in the rest of the colony.
Each turn, you play a movement card that determines how many armies you can move and how far. Use your event cards wisely to gain a sudden advantage, such as calling in Native American allies or utilizing naval transports.
Yes, it supports both local pass-and-play and online asynchronous multiplayer.
A very well made game that perfectly replicates the board game experience. The AI is actually strong than what u typically see with strategy game apps but a competent player will consistently win....although the games will be generally close. AI could be stronger if 1) command decision was utilized more frequently to retreat when odds are poor 2) stop wasting moves to add native Americans far in the frontier and away from the opponent 3) British AI adds too many new armies in Quebec and Nova Scotia, away from the main front Multiplayer format is solid but could be improved if 1) you could load and view the board when it's your opponent's turn and 2) make it "cheat proof" (player can exit mid turn and restart if not liking outcomes All in though a great game, worth the price
I would like to have the option for complete domination where you have to completely eliminate your opponent. I would also like the option to speed up the AI.
I have played this board game and others in the series many times with my kiddos. They don’t want to play simple games or the complicated Avalon Hill games I cut my teeth on; this is really a fun, balanced game system that is historically representative. Tactics are subtle and strategy is multifaceted. And fun. We don’t need 30 pages of eight font type rules to have fun.
My only issue is that it doesn’t fit my iPhone’s screen shape anymore since I upgraded; makes it hardly playable anymore. Other than that, the game is great! Please just fix this.
This is a reasonably engaging light tabletop wargame. It’s one of very few apps in that niche. Its only demerit is a big one: It literally does not work on my iPhone because you cannot see certain in-game buttons.
I give only a bad rating because the app doesn’t fit to my screen, I can never access the next turn button because it’s cut off by my screen. There is no settings in the game to adjust screen size or to fit. I am saddened that I spent my money on a game that I cannot play 😔 PLEASE FIX THIS OR SHOW ME HOW 🙏🏼
I paid $10 for a game that isn’t even fun. The tutorial is complicated and the game is easy unless you play on hard. I wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy virtual board games that are not fun
Impossible to play even on a large format iPhone — only buy this if you have a big tablet to play on.
