Lumen. is the epitome of polished puzzle design. Lykke Studios has a knack for creating games that feel premium and tactile, and this light-bending journey is no exception. The 1800s steampunk aesthetic, centered around Olivia McLumen's attic, is gorgeous. Every mirror, lens, and prism you interact with feels like it has weight and history. The soundtrack—a blend of smooth jazz and soft piano—complements the brain-teasing gameplay perfectly, ensuring you never feel stressed even when the light paths get complicated.
The transition from Apple Arcade to a standalone premium title has been handled flawlessly. Having over 200 levels plus the Weekly Mazes makes it a massive package for puzzle lovers. The logic is consistent, the progression is satisfying, and the 'Aha!' moments when you finally align that last mirror to unlock a cinematic frame are delightful. It’s one of those rare mobile games that feels like it respects your time and intelligence equally.
Unique light-based mechanics using mirrors, lenses, and prisms
Over 200 handcrafted levels plus rotating daily and weekly content
Fascinating 1800s steampunk-inspired 'antique box' aesthetic
Soothing atmospheric soundtrack featuring piano and saxophone
Cross-device save functionality across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV
Premium experience with no ads, no trackers, and no in-app purchases
The goal in each level is to guide the light beam to the 'output' sensors on the cinematic frames. Start by identifying the fixed mirrors and prisms—these define the core path you must follow. If a beam is too weak, look for a magnifying lens to boost its intensity. In the later chapters, such as the 'Clockwork' levels, you'll need to time your light beams with rotating popup blockers. Remember: there is no timer, so take your time to experiment with different mirror angles to collect all three stars.
Beyond the main 200+ story levels, lumen. features a robust 'Weekly Mazes' mode where players tackle five increasingly difficult maze-like puzzles every Monday. Successfully completing these builds your 'Streak Points,' which unlock exclusive cosmetic details for your Trophy Room. The Daily Challenges offer a unique twist on existing mechanics, often limiting the number of mirrors or lenses you can use to solve a familiar layout.
Yes. If you had the Arcade version installed, your save data will automatically sync to this version via Game Center and iCloud, provided you use the same Apple ID.
this game has deleted my save file twice now. i made it to level 37 at first, then level 40-something, and both times when i quit the app my save file disappeared into thin air. the second time, i literally checked to make sure it was saving and it was. i had this game back when it was on arcade, but now im disappointed with it. UPDATE: it turns out its only save slot 1 that feletes everything. for some reason save slot 2 works fine and i haven't tried number 3 yet. however, i would like to know how to fix save slot 1.
I had to come pay the $4 for this game today, since it just came off of Apple Arcade. I can’t go a day without playing it! Any chance we’ll get more chapters with Olivia?
I love it very much!Thank you Dev term.
