X2 Blocks takes the familiar 2048 formula and turns it into a vertical 'bubble shooter' style experience. Instead of sliding tiles on a grid, you shoot number blocks upward. If a block hits another of the same number, they merge. This simple change adds a layer of kinetic physics that makes the game much more addictive than the original 2048.

It’s a fantastic 'brain trainer' because it forces you to think several moves ahead—if I merge these two 1024s here, where will the 2048 end up? The minimalist design is easy on the eyes, making it a perfect game for winding down at night. My only complaint is that the blocks can get quite small when you have a large board going, making 'fat-fingering' a shot more common in the late game. Still, for a free puzzle game, the polish and 'just one more try' factor are top-notch.

Relaxing, Simple, and Straightforward

This game is very simple and straightforward, and it’s enjoyable. These qualities make it well suited for any age. If you’re scared of math, fear not, this is hardly a game for those in rocket science. If you can double a number, you can play this game. As you begin to play you can develop and employ simple strategies that make doing well easy. There is some help available if you make a mistake or get stuck, such as the ability to get rid of or swap a block. You access these help functions by using diamonds, which you earn as you play. You can increase your diamonds quite a bit by choosing to watch ads, or you can purchase them in app. For those who don’t want to see ads at all, you can pay a small, reasonable fee to get rid of them. I find it engaging enough to be fun while also being low stress. You’re not racing a clock or trying to beat levels, the game just progresses naturally as your doubled numbers increase in size. For these reasons, I find this game relaxing and enjoyable. If this sounds like your kind of thing, I would definitely give it a try.

Mostly ads, hard to have fun

I've played a lot of numbers games. This game is fun but the app is not. During 30 min of having the app, 15 of those min was ads. Each ad forces you to respond 5x including tapping each x trying to get back to the game & actually opening the play store page where you must say Done if you don't want the game. Game play is around 2min before each 2 min ad break, which advertise the same game you've declined numerous times before. Rediculous on its face & add to that the frustration of having to re-establish your play mentally after each interruption. Other frequent interruptions include asking you to rate the app, exclaiming you get to remove a number, and asking you to claim your prizes -- which you should go ahead and do since saying No Thanks doesn't prevent the ads. It doesn't seem to offer ad-free because it wants you to pay for coins per game-- more interruptions. Worse number drop game I've ever tried, including the fact that the next number drop comes in slowly so you think your shooting one number but it turns out to be a different one. It does show the next waiting number, as well, but that just means more things to watch and more confusion for even seasoned players (raising hand). There needs to be some obvious way to avoid the ads while you're getting to know the game.

I love the game, but ISSUES!!

I am going to get my honest opinion. I put four stars only because I love this game for the simple fact it makes you think but also relax, very addictive. It also makes your mind go to a different place very calming. But the only problem I have mostly is the ads not working, no matter if you have the settings, correct. When you pay for the air free, you still have to watch ads, you still get freezing of the game . I’ve had money been taken out from the game. Yes I bought them, It wasn’t by accident but I’ve never received the coins this has happen more than once. Once you hit infinity. It gives you the worst numbers and you have to watch so many videos without paying just to be able to move or knock off a number.. not sure why it taking so long for the updates to come out but It’s not even worth playing without new numbers. you do not get for you do not get that many points or any opportunities to advance higher within the game. Also for the development team and who came up with the game I appreciate it bunches if you guys just fix the bug issue with the rankings and the boys

Great Game - Hateful Political Ads

This is a game that I spend most my time playing on my phone. I truly enjoy it, however I saw an enormous amount of negative campaign ads through the lead up to the US Presidential election and the Georgia special election in January for two senate seats. Most of the negative ad were in support of the GOP candidate. I was very disgusted by the ads, but still I played. I will continue to play as the damage is done. I did not have the wherewithal to write this review sooner, but to the maker of this app, please be warned that future delivery to me of these types of ads will not be met by the same passive action. I will delete the app, and surely request the same of my friends and family. Like many who do not think politics should be in sports, I don’t think paid politically ads should be forced upon those who play your games. Sure I have the ability pay to have the ads removed, but should I just to avoid nonsensical advertisement that you obviously support? Please do better in 2021. I know I will by deleting your app and not using any of your other apps.

Not even playin with yall when I tell you this is my favorite game in the whole wide world (on mobile at least) I mean like it’s simple, but also very enjoyable. I also don’t need service to play so when I’m at school with no wifi and no bars I can still just play music and vibe while playing. I mean I’ve been playing the same 1 game for well over a year. It does not get boring. But let me tell you, sometimes I be going crazy because you won’t be paying attention and then you have this big ahh block on top of a small one but you can use gems to fix things like that which the gems are very very easy to get. The ads aren’t that bad either, I don’t get ads very often and even when I do they also give us some gems so lowkey kinda worth it. I will stand on this hill that this is the bestest game ever until I die. If this game has no fans then I am dead. Should def download.

I loved this game and played it literally everyday for almost a year, but the newest update is something that might make me stop playing! I used to love the progression of this game: you create a new biggest block, one block gets added, the lowest block gets taken away. The blocks would progress in letters throughout the alphabet and I would become very satisfied and proud from creating a new highest block. But now that they added the infinity block, you can no longer progress after you reach it. That means I am stuck on block “bz” forever! They added the “journey” aspect to the game but when it was implemented I had already passed those blocks and was immediately given an infinity block. It also makes the diamonds worthless because I have no use for the power ups since I’m not working towards anything. This is really frustrating for me and it feels like my favorite game just got ruined. I really don’t want to restart just to experience the gameplay I love so I hope they will take away the infinity block and reinstate the letter system.

This game is way too stacked in the app designers favor for my taste. In this game, Your ability to control your fate and use your math skills to succeed is less than their sister 2048 math game. I haven’t played this game much but I have played enough to know it is set up very similar to their sister game, which I played regularly for months. To save you time and money, Just a heads up, the games are designed to give you great numbers early on, such as much larger numbers that help you gain ground faster. But over time it starts sending you really small numbers, almost exclusively, so that now it will take ten times as long as before to make up the same ground. But you can buy up numbers . So it gets you in and then it sends Numbers designed to pin you into a position to either buy a new way out or upgrade much quicker, or spend ten times as long trying to get to the next level. That same pattern again and again at every level got old. I found I kept buying my way out just to pick up the pace of the game. It’s very clever. It purposely frustrates you into spending or quitting it. So I uninstalled like I will this game.

Fun and simple, would enjoy just a little more content

I am a big fan of very straightforward puzzle games with just a score and little things like how you can save currency for 4 different boosts. It’s just one type of currency, and the boosts are pretty straightforward. If I had any suggestions, I do think having something like different sizes of the playing area would be interesting. I feel like when making the play area bigger it’s not necessarily easier, rather it’d be more like a fish tank. Water chemistry in small tanks changes fast since it’s less water, so you can fix mistakes quickly, but make mistakes just as quickly. Bigger tanks with more water take much longer to change when fixing a mistake, but also one misstep won’t usually mess up the whole thing. Feel like it’d let you try out new strategies that wouldn't work in a smaller playing area
