Thank you for playing World Quiz!
This update brings minor improvements and bug fixes.
World Quiz is an excellent educational tool disguised as a game. For anyone looking to brush up on their geography, it’s far more engaging than staring at an atlas. The variety of modes—identifying flags, locating countries on a map, and naming capitals—keeps the learning process from becoming stale.
The 'Adaptive Learning' system is the real hero here; it identifies which countries you consistently get wrong and serves them up more frequently until you master them. It’s clean, professional, and doesn't waste time with unnecessary fluff. While it's not a 'game' in the traditional sense, the desire to get a 100% streak makes it surprisingly addictive. It's a must-have for students or trivia buffs.
Quizzes on 190+ countries
High-quality flag images
Interactive world map
Detailed progress tracking
Start with the 'Region' mode to focus on one continent at a time. This makes it easier to memorize the flags and locations of smaller nations before moving on to the 'Full World' challenge.
In the Map mode, you'll be given a name and must tap the correct country. The faster you tap, the more points you earn. Use the 'Review' feature after each quiz to see your mistakes.
Yes, once downloaded, all geography quizzes and maps are available without an internet connection.
Someone asked me if I knew where Turkey was & I chuckled & said “nope.” Afterward I got to thinking, I definitely don’t want to be like the kids now-a-days who have no clue what countries even are.. (haha) - so I downloaded this app & have ‘re-learned’ so much! It’s actually quite fun, I can’t even lie I was addicted to it the first week I started taking the quizzes. I love that my first reaction is to open this app & not Facebook or instagram. The only thing I’d change would to be switching up the rotation of countries, I do feel like I get the same usual ones each round while there are certain ones I can’t remember as well because they’re never in the rotation. Other than that I think it’s a great learning tool for those who’d like to know the world map a little better!
I’m 64 and have been embarrassed for years I don’t have a clue where most countries are on a world map. I tried out several apps before finding this one. I’m slowly learning where countries are on every continent. The app makes it fun, once I got through the first few lessons when I missed every answer! I’m also astonished at the size of some countries….who knew Ukraine was so huge compared to Vietnam? And Japan is so tiny. I’m well educated (three masters and two bachelors) and consider myself a lifetime learner, so I’m glad for this opportunity to continue learning at home all by myself.
I really am enjoying this quiz. I challenged myself this year to learn all the countries of the world. I’ve now been using this game to help me review daily and also to help learn the correct spellings. I have one change I’d like to see. I primarily am using the Write version of Map to Name. There are 3 levels of difficulty. I thought as choose harder levels, it would countries from the previous levels as well as the new level. But it doesn’t seem to. I’ve mainly been playing Hard and it rarely if ever includes countries from the Easy and Normal levels. I’d like to see a new level that includes any country from any level, not just easy only or normal only or hard only.
I have never reviewed an app before, but I just have to write this one… I am so impressed by my new ability to name all country capitals and even locate them on a blank map! I don’t know how this app does it, but it’s highly successful. For 12 whole months, there hasn’t been a week where I haven’t opened this app. I love improving and practicing my geographical knowledge with it. It truly is incredible; I cannot recommend it enough! Before finding this app, I downloaded dozens to see which style of testing I like best, this one beat them all. 5 stars!
I’m enjoying learning the world flags through this app. I tried serval different ones and their ad placement was to frequent to be an enjoyable learning experience. This app places a short video, that you can skip in 3-5 seconds, after the end of every round (once you see your score sheet); therefore, it isn’t intrusive. I haven’t played around with the other features yet, but as far as the flag flash card experience, it is well organized and throws in new countries once you’ve leveled up. Very enjoyable.
I use this app almost everyday for school. we are learning to label all of the countries and capitals of the world. I love this app it is so helpful I would probably be failing without it. But I have noticed it needs to be updated. Africa has changed. Marocco split and is now also Western Sahara. And a few have changed names. So if you guys could update this app that would be amazing. I don't know what I would do without this app. But it really needs an update for me to keep using it. I recommend this app to all of my friends and classmates but I can't do that if it is not up to date. So I will not be recommending this until you update it. Please and thank you!
I enjoy this app and it is generally very good but I would like a feature where you could review most commonly missed locations. It seems that there is only a single developer and you are probably busy with other projects but I have some free time and have experience doing contract work for multiple companies. If you gave me the repo I’d be willing to sign whatever and develop the feature completely free of charge because I would love to see it.
will this app be getting any updates soon? i love how lo fi it is and simple with annoying and hyper stimulating bells and whistles. ads aren't disturbing to me and it just really helps. however this app really needs some updates! and i'd also love for it to mix it up more because some countries i'm absolutely never tested on. also im questioning the comprehensiveness of this app. Palestine is missing and many islands are missing. eventually want to get the point where i can know every single country and island on the globe and unfortunately only feel like i can cover the basics with this app as it stands
