Performance Improvements
Wordscapes Search takes the classic word search formula and polishes it to a brilliant shine. Unlike the original Wordscapes, which focuses on anagram-style word building, this version is a traditional 'grid search' game. It excels due to its relaxing atmosphere—beautiful landscapes, calming music, and a smooth 'swipe' mechanic that feels incredibly tactile. It’s a perfect 'waiting room' game: easy to pick up, and you can play for 30 seconds or 30 minutes.
The progression system is satisfying, gradually increasing the grid size and the complexity of the words. I especially appreciate the 'Bonus Word' mechanic, which rewards you for finding words that aren't on the official list, encouraging you to actually read the grid rather than just scanning for specific targets. It’s a great way to expand your vocabulary while destressing. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel, it is arguably the best-performing and most visually appealing word search app currently available.
6,000+ hand-crafted puzzles
Stunning nature backgrounds
No time limits or pressure
Bonus word rewards
Offline play support
Beginner players often miss diagonal words. Try to look at the first letter of a word on your list and then scan all 8 directions around it in the grid to find the match.
If you see a word that isn't on the level list, swipe it anyway! Finding these bonus words fills your coin jar, which you can use to buy hints when levels get tougher.
Wordscapes is a word-connect game using a circle of letters to fill a crossword. Wordscapes Search is a traditional grid-based word find game.
One of the reasons I play games is to just relax and take my mind off of whatever is going on around me. For that reason relaxation is important and I like the quiet background music that I have a choice to listen to in Wordscapes Search. Another thing I like about it is that we can get extra points by finding words that are not part of the puzzle. I like that I can switch the whole puzzle around in a 1/4 turn, especially that it doesn’t cost me points or “game money.“ The ads are not obnoxious…Yet. And I like that I can earn extra points by watching a video or two. And once in a while they have sales on buying extra things such as blowing some of the letters off the board, which usually cost 100 points. But you can buy like 5x for $1.99 once in a while. That makes it more likely that I will spend a small amount of money. But I am not wealthy and I have only a part-time job so I’m not going spend a lot of money. Some games, not this one, I have quit and deleted simply because they wanted me to spend more money to advance in the game. After that it doesn’t become a game, it’s a gamble and the house always wins. This is not that kind of game. This is a friendly game that meets my needs, let me relax, and I love, LOVE the pictures!
This game is awesome! I’ve been playing for months now. It helps with my anxiety and also helps me wind down for bed at night. The only things that bother me are 1. The fact that there is not a dark mode. I play a lot at night and it hurts to look at sometimes because of the bright screen (and yes my screen brightness is down all the way). 2. It feels like there are a looooot of repetitive words and themes. I would love to see some fresh things. I’m at level 3123 but yeah it feels like I see a lot of the same words. 3. The coins. I wish there was more that we could do with the coins. I don’t use the power ups so I’ve just been racking up coins. Maybe we could use them to purchase frames from precious events, avatars, or highlighters. Just a thought. I love that the game has the different events. Butterfly, Atlantis, etc. I’m hoping that some of the other events come back as well ( Because it seems like there are some dormant events. I could be wrong). I also love love love that I can play for highlighters. It makes me even more excited to play the game. You all make them so pretty! Another feature that I enjoy is the fact that you can see the definition for extra words you find in the word search. It’s nice to learn new words. Thanks for this great game! This is the only word search that is really fun to play in my opinion. Also if you play as much as I do, get the no ads option. It’s worth it, I promise!
This app helps kids learn and it helps them develop their searching skills it is pretty hard to find them I’m eight now it’s in 37 and I’ve played it since I’m seven I’m on level 18 now it’s been an awesome experience and I think five stars is good it’s a really good app I love how is the word search because WordSearch is a fun for me I’m a just makes me so happy to try them because I like to find stuff really hard stuff I can wear searches if it’s too hard I might ask my friends but I really like word searches and I like fighting stuff I can hide and seek I like that that’s what I like to do because word searches are like finding someone in hide and seek for me or like you’re making your own research would be fine but I don’t know how to mix them up I’ll probably print one out but I didn’t yet and hats the pool this Saturday on June 4 my friend is coming over to our pool and we’re playing water hide and seek and I’m going to be it and I haven’t told her but we’re going to have a blast I don’t remember if hide and seek was on our list for crazy for party but we’re gonna do it anyway because everybody probably loves water hide and seek bye.
Long read but I literally stopped mid-game to write this 🫠 I’m annoyed 🙃 CONS: There are ads after EVERY SINGLE PUZZLE and don’t put your phone down for more than 2 minutes because you’ll have to watch ANOTHER ad in the middle of your current word search. Yes, you remove ads by spending 6 bucks but you get none of the extras that are offered in their other bundle buys for the same amount! And who wants to spend $6 when other games offer to remove ads for much less. Trust me, I don’t mind spending money on games that I like. Searching for bonus words don’t include 2-letter words or some simple words that are clearly in the dictionary. Ok, the challenges that get you coins and move up the leaderboard… 1st place is 1K coins but 2nd-4th is all the same amount, 750…no matter the difference in scores. I scored 2K over 3rd place and that’s crazy. Lastly, I’ve found words during a mini game to collect pics to use as your in-game profile pic but the game will definitely say you missed it when you haven’t. It’s not a big deal but it will get you slightly irritated. PROS: It’s addictive and passes the time when you’re bored or have downtime. I’m a linguist so I enjoy word games…if you’re one in the same you’ll like it. The different colors once you’ve found words is cool visually. There’s no time clock so take all the time you need, no feeling of being rushed while relaxing.
My son saw this game and asked me to download it on his iPad and I thought, hmm well it’s a word game so why not? I simply downloaded it for educational purposes.. but let me tell you, the game also downloaded onto my phone so I started playing. It’s been only fifteen minutes, and I’m already on level 18! It’s a great time passer and it’ll cause you to really look and think. I hardly ever leave reviews for games I normally just go about my day but I just had too. The only thing I’m not fond of is the ads. They aren’t excessive but it does get a little annoying. They do have a feature where you can pay $3.99 for ad/free play. Other than that it’s a great game, the music is very relaxing and it helps you think more but also enjoy the game. Super engaging and beautiful. I liked the message they have at the beginning of the game where they said they’ve put a lot of love into the game. That was adorable. We can tell! Well, I can tell! Great game, though how many levels are there? Cause I’d hate to finish and have to find another game haha.
How fair this game is when the weekend contest is going on. I will complete 3-4 puzzles and no points go towards my contest points. All of my puzzles are “very hard”. I can be 800 points ahead of someone and they quickly catch-up to me because of this and I complete my puzzles fairly quickly despite the difficulty of the level. It truly makes me wonder if everyone has the same level of difficulty and if they are getting points on each puzzle because I’m not. I’m also going through ads after each puzzle which I don’t get during the week when there isn’t a competition. It’s just odd how others seem to gain points a lot faster and move up when I solve pretty quickly yet I don’t get points each time, sometimes very little, all puzzles are level “very hard” and I get ads after each puzzle having to wait to X out of them. It’s frustrating and I’m about done. Also, during the weekly collection games. Once you have collected all the items in a collection, why is it still open? Why would you not give me the ones I still need to get? Instead I spend 3 days of doing puzzles that aren’t getting me anything more than if I were playing regularly. There are major improvements that need to be done.
One reason I play this game is because it actually helps your brain and yeah also how I love this game is that it’s calming music is really calm but thank you. It’s really a great day. You should really doll it cause it’s so great like really great and also it’s pretty easy even though I am a new player. I am in love with it. I am I don’t know what level I’m at. I think I’m at 19 or something but yeah but I think it’s a great game. OK some people don’t like it, but I like it but yeah, I wish you dark mode too, but like I wouldn’t really use dark mode, but like I like light mode but like if it’s like if it’s dark mode, it’s kind of kind of a little bit annoying, but it’s OK some people, like it and I understand cause like the maker of the skin doesn’t know if you want light mode or dark mode and also it’s pretty good. The reason that you need lots of coins for like the like the like 100 coins for a clue, just one clue for 100 coins I can be like 50 coins for, two clues😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇 also it says 17+ but I’m literally only nine and I can play it. It’s really matter it can be like 5+ or like it can be any age cause it just matters about your studying and stuff but yeah you don’t get why it says 17+.
I’ve been playing this game for about 8 months. The music is relaxing and the backgrounds are beautiful, but that all I really like. The games and championships make me mad because right around the time the game is set to end and you are placed in the top 10, all of a sudden you see some new scores get loaded in and then all of sudden you are practically in last place. Also, if this game is automatic, there is no reason why it takes days for you to come up with the final score. Then, when it comes to the points after the game, you can’t buy nothing with the points so the points become pointless. For example, I almost gave 10k points, and I can’t buy nothing with it. And the bonus words don’t consistently cash out at 25 points. Sometimes it cashed out at 35 points for extra words, etc. We need consistency on the cash out for extra words. Don’t put 25 on the cash out and then cash me out at 43 points. Make it make sense. Get it together. Because of your poor games and strange rules and shady contest winners, I have no incentive to play the games and contests, and there goes your engagement which affects ad revenue. And then, why is it so hard to get a highlighter. 200 points is 100 games. You really want me to waste my whole life playing and not being productive just to get a highlighter. Please! Do better!
