Intro Text Box
Wild Thing Poker is a refreshing and highly original spin on seven-card stud. The core hook—that the wild card changes based on how many cards are currently in your hand—adds a brilliant layer of strategy that I haven't seen in other video poker titles. Having 3s wild for the first wager, 5s for the second, and 7s for the third means you are constantly reassessing the value of your hand.
The game is easy enough for a novice to pick up, but the 'bet or fold' decisions provide the kind of strategic depth that experienced poker players crave. The payouts for six-of-a-kind and seven-of-a-kind (up to 1,000 to 1!) make the third wager incredibly exciting. The graphics have been recently updated, and the tutorials are clear. It truly lives up to its name—it gets wild very quickly.

Don't be afraid to fold early if your first three cards don't include a 3 or a pair. The real money is in the final wager where 7s become wild.
Remember that a card that isn't wild in the first round (like a 7) might become wild in the final round. Plan your bets based on the potential of your final 7-card hand.
It depends on the stage: 3s are wild initially, then 5s when you have five cards, and 7s when you have seven.
