-Critical bug fixes for iOS 17 and app performance updates.
WWII Tower Defense Pro is a solid entry into the TD genre for history buffs. It takes a very classic approach—there are no fancy magical spells here, just cold steel and gunpowder. The level design is challenging; you can't just spam towers and expect to win. You have to think about the placement of your anti-tank guns versus your machine-gun nests to ensure you aren't overwhelmed by infantry or armored divisions.
The difficulty curve is quite steep, which I personally enjoy. It forces you to actually use the upgrade system strategically. The 'Pro' version is great because it removes the interruptions and gives you a bit more starting currency to experiment with different builds. While the graphics are a bit old-school, they fit the gritty WWII aesthetic well. It’s a great choice for strategy fans who want a no-nonsense, challenging tower defense experience.
Ad-free premium experience
Historical WWII units and weaponry
Multiple challenging campaign maps
In-depth tower upgrade system
Varied enemy types including heavy tanks and air units
Identify the enemy's path and place your machine gun nests at corners to maximize their fire time. Save your heavy artillery for armored waves. Between waves, spend your earned gold on tower upgrades to increase range and damage. Don't forget to place slow-down traps to keep enemies in the 'kill zone' longer.
The core gameplay involves resource management and spatial strategy. Players must decide when to build new towers versus when to upgrade existing ones to counter increasingly difficult waves of historical military units.
No, WWII Tower Defense Pro can be played entirely offline.
I liked the free version and $3 was reasonable to play without waiting for time to build to play more. Yeah you get stuck replaying old levels to earn coins (I have beaten level 9 like 15 times) I wish there was a two time speed. And now while trying to improve my towers while playing old side games and not thinking, I wish there was a enemy dictionary. The $3 bucks was fun for a week, I’ll go back to plants vs z.
I almost did not download this game because the first review I read so it was all pay to play. I beat every level and only bought the starter pack and the no ads option. I always buy something so the developers get money for their work. After that I was easily able to earn the gold I needed for upgrades. My only complaint is now that I beat all the level, there is nothing else to do. I tried the multiplayer option but the game never connects to anyone. I already maxed out my preferred hero’s and all of my towers are maxed out. It only took about 1 week of playing this game just needs something more to keep playing. Maybe let others design maps or campaigns with a level design tool?
Started with the free version, it leads you to believe if you buy the pro version you get the heroes but that’s not the case at all. You have to spend more money to get more heroes. Buying the pro version was a waste of money. The game itself is fun but seems you have to spend actual money to get further in the game. Which is ridiculous after buying a pro version of a game. If you don’t spend actual money on this game it will take replaying levels multiple times to afford upgrades. It’s a shame because I enjoyed the game at first but seeing how strategy isn’t as involved as reaching into your wallet to progress kills the game for me. The fact they give you coins to give them a 5 star rating is a joke. I’d rather tell it how it is than take the 200 coins which doesn’t do much anyways.
Game is a lot of fun but very buggy and slightly misleading on purchases. When it asks you to go pro, it says you can select from 2 heroes, and all kinds of other freebies. Not true. You lose the ads and gas, but you still have to pay for everything else. Plus, I received an ad for 50% off of an ‘unlock all hero’ purchase pack and it only unlocked a few. Not all of them. I’ve sent an email to hopefully get this resolved. They say it’s a little buggy because of the new apple update, so I’m giving them some grace. I’m here writing an honest review (they ask you to leave a 5-star review in exchange for money in the game (extortion)).
I was looking for a fun new tower defense game to play and came across this one. I was originally dismayed to see my play time was limited on the free version but the pro version was only $2.99 so I was more than happy to pay that and get unlimited play AND no ads. Seems to be your basic tower defense game and that is what I was looking for so I am happy with my purchase.
Great game- could be a bit different😂 meaning each level is about 5 mins long but you only get 100 coins after spending actual money and playing ur game it could be a bit more profitable on each level.. that’s all
Absurdly hard even on the normal setting. By the fourth map it is getting difficult to win on the normal setting, & this is after paying for the pro version and buying another hero. Amount of cash given for winning a map is not nearly enough to research decent upgrades to the towers, & you are t given enough $ at the start of the map or between levels to place enough towers to survive. Clearly designed to force you to buy extra gold early on. Waste of $4 on my part.
Gotta give props. The only thing I dislike is the time it takes to earn coins. I wish for the paid version there was a way to earn more coins per game. It feels sometimes like it’s pay-to-win.
