WHAT THE GOLF? is quite possibly the funniest game I have ever played. It is a constant stream of 'wait, what?' moments that keep you smiling from start to finish. The creativity on display is staggering—just when you think you've seen the weirdest thing the game can do, it turns into a Super Mario parody or a cooking simulator.
The physics are delightfully bouncy, and the short level format makes it the perfect mobile game. It’s one of those rare games that is purely about the joy of play. It doesn't take itself seriously for even a second, and that's its greatest strength. If you have Apple Arcade, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't play this immediately.
Hilarious physics-based puzzles
Tons of levels with unique mechanics
Frequent parodies of iconic video games
Daily challenges and leaderboards
A surprise around every corner
Don't try to play this like a real golf game. Often, the 'ball' isn't what you think it is. If you're stuck on a level, try hitting the golfer instead of the ball, or look for alternative paths that might involve jumping or flying.
The gameplay is constantly changing. One level might be a side-scrolling platformer, the next a first-person shooter parody, and the next a racing game—all under the guise of 'golfing' something into a hole.
Absolutely not. In fact, knowing how to play golf might actually make you worse at this game because it breaks all the rules.
