• Minor balance adjustments to all boss fights
• Small tweaks to certain enemies and environmental hazards
• Minor gameplay polish and refinements
Vohenn is a shot of pure adrenaline for fans of the 'flow-state' action genre. It takes the verticality of games like Downwell but swaps the gravity-boots for a razor-sharp cyber-ninja aesthetic. The movement is remarkably fluid; once you get the hang of the dash-reset mechanic—where killing an enemy in mid-air gives you your dash back—you feel untouchable. It turns the game into a high-speed rhythm puzzle where the floor is literal lava.
The synthwave soundtrack is perfectly synced to the action, pulsing harder as your combo multiplier climbs. It’s a difficult game, make no mistake, but the 'just one more run' factor is off the charts. The procedural generation is smart enough to keep the vertical gauntlets feeling fresh without feeling unfair. If you have any love for cyberpunk aesthetics or tight, skill-based arcade action, Vohenn is a mandatory download.
Sleek neon-cyberpunk visuals
Ultra-responsive swipe-to-dash controls
Procedural tower generation for infinite replayability
Pumping synthwave soundtrack
Stay airborne. Neutralizing a robotic guard resets your dash cooldown. Chain your kills to navigate past laser grids without ever touching the floor to keep your score multiplier at its peak.
Between floors, spend your bits on 'Phase Shift' or 'Blade Extension.' These temporary perks are the key to surviving the aggressive bosses found every 10 floors.
Yes, the tower layout and power-ups change every time you start a new run.
I like the game idea and the improvements u got while playing The only bad point for me at least that i was not able to ping stuff to come back for later in the map! It will be better if u add a way to ping areas on map Also it's quite short game for 7$ almost an DLC would be a great idea for the game or make a discount at least Hollow knight silksong is for 8$ not logic to have this one for 7$!
I enjoyed playing through the game. Cleared all the levels, side quests, and everything at 100%. Got all the achievements possible. I enjoyed it. Game play took about 37 hours in total over a few weeks. One the one hand, I enjoyed the game, but I don’t know that I would replay it right away, so I’m not sure if the value was worth the price. I also thought the villagers should have changed their script a little once the villain was defeated, or at least once the magicians were all freed. Like “Thank you for freeing us from the evil that threatened our island…” a little confetti or something.
Finally a decent metriodvania on the App Store. Second only to castlevainia SotN (yes I know blasphemous is on the App Store. Afterimage is great but from reading reviews seems it may blow up my phone) Combat is simple but smooth feeling. Update: I am close to the end. I’m trying to complete all side quests before entering the keep. But now I can’t find the ghost! I thought I saved a screenshot to remember his location but apparently not. Help please. Also don’t listen to the negative reviews about the challenging boss fights. I literally have died I think 3 times. And it was my own fault for not backtracking to a save. Each zone has gotten better and better
Love this little game! Plenty of hours of enjoyment and opportunities to practice beating the various bosses. Only thing is I wish I could find some guidance on what the question marks represent in the info panels for the individual maps. The areas say 100% explored, yet it looks like that’s not quite true because in addition to lines like “Chests 2/2” there are “??? ???” lines as well. I’ve beaten the final boss and got the final credits screen that says my journey’s over, but obviously I’m missing something. Will just have to go back through and see if I didn’t pick something up.
Fun game. I played through and beat it. I enjoyed the play through. Short game. Would be great to have a hard mode or new game plus. Would be easy enough to do. Keep the game the same and make the damage enemies do double. Give enemies more hp. Would have liked to seen 2 or 3 very hard post game areas with a lot of battle stages where multiple monsters are coming. Bosses with added lower level enemies to the boss battles post game. Overall, good game though. Thanks for making it!
Super fun game, definitely worth the money. If pins were added for the map and areas weren’t marked as completed with stuff still in them it would be perfect. I sadly did everything in the game and missed one spell, no idea where it is and I’m not running through the whole game looking for it so I’m sadly missing out on 2 achievements.
-⭐️ unfortunately the craters have a lot to learn about maps. Maps are what made Final Fantasy three and pretty much created the entire franchise. Without them it would've not gotten where it is. Maps have to be fun, exciting interesting and explorative and maybe even a bit of an adventure on their own. This just looks like someone plopped some villages on a map.. with no intention of creating an actual world to explore or making it fun in anyway. They're just doing it because other games do. Always disappointing when I see this. -⭐️ because weapons are pointless. I've gotten the first four weapons and I have to say I barely use them. I'm still stuck using the same old magic. Very boring whoever made. This is just making them I guess for the hell of it? The tornado could you know maybe be useful one percent of the time? What is the point of doing all this hard work I need to get weapons I don't need or use. -⭐️ also why am I getting money? Why am I going after this extra gold or whatever they call it in the game. What am I gonna spend it on? It feels pointless. -.25⭐️ the character is just kind of tiny and it makes it feel less exciting. It's like I'm using some kind of cartoon character who doesn't even have legs. There's nothing fun about it. This is more of an artistic thing, but when I'm looking at Samus, for example she seems to be flexible and fun and strong. So it makes you feel strong and excited and she can also turn into a ball. This character looks like it was a bobble head runt. No offense it's kind of cute but it doesn't make for a fun or exciting game. + 1⭐️ the music is ok. I've still wouldn't say it's five stars but it's enjoyable. Some of the songs aren't mastered or mixed that well they're kind of bland and crushed down (like your average cheap music track). But I can tell the music changes tracks at least which is something I can't even expect from most games. It supports the overall vibe which is the best part of this game. +1⭐️ great overall vibe and feel. The look and feel of the game is well done the gameplay as well done. The exploration is well done.
Having this on my phone makes me feel like a kid with a gameboy in my pocket. Very nice pixel art, well tuned movement. Most of the game provides a comfortable challenge without relying on gimmicks. This game does everything a metroidvania should quite well. There's a fun variety to the loot and puzzles I'm always excited to explore a new room.
