Venture Towns is Kairosoft at its absolute best. It takes the familiar city-building formula and injects it with a level of micro-management that is addictive rather than overwhelming. The goal is to build a thriving metropolis, but the secret sauce is in the 'Combos.' Placing specific buildings near each other (like a Game Store and a Burger Shop) creates a 'Specialty District' that boosts your land value.

The pixel art is charming as always, and watching your tiny citizens go about their lives—getting jobs, buying cars, and moving houses—is endlessly satisfying. It’s a slow-paced game that rewards careful layout planning. Unlike many modern city-builders, it’s a premium experience with no intrusive micro-transactions, allowing you to focus entirely on the puzzle of maximizing your city's potential. It’s the digital equivalent of building a complex LEGO city.

My favorite moment is when someone gets a 20K bonus at work, then strolls into the Chinese food place with his pet hawk and spends his entire paycheck on chow mein.

Please keep all the buildings available even the parks so that we can use them over again. The thing that’s really bad is when you invest in a new store and it never shows up to build. I keep losing so much money despite making numerous combos. Please update soon. I really love this game the best.

Fun but latest update is full of bugs

I have been a longtime fan of this game but I wish I hadn't updated it. Now I can't add new buildings and some just look like blue blank tiles. I can't seem to find new jobs either. I hope they fix it soon because it is otherwise very fun.

I love these games but this game needs bigger land I ran out land so I started a new game it needs more land!

This is probably the most complex Kairosoft title released on iPhone yet -- not in that it's difficult to play, but rather in that there are more layers of things going on at once, and it's more difficult to unlock all the special characters and other goodies. On the surface, the gameplay appears to be similar to the recently-released Oedo Town, but Venture Town requires more finesse and therefore would seem to also have more retail value. In an environment packed with freemium games that make players wait for energy to refill or constantly pester them to make in-game purchases with real cash, Kairosoft titles are a welcome change -- pay your coins up front and play offline by yourself for as long as you want. I applaud them.

I am a huge fan of kairosoft games but ever since they updated this over a year ago it’s been glitchy and unplayable. Please fix.
