Updated iOS support
Vegas Pool Sharks HD brings the grit and glamour of a smoky pool hall to your iPad with surprisingly effective 3D visuals. Unlike many pool games that use a top-down 2D view, this title fully embraces a 3D perspective, allowing you to line up shots just as you would in real life. The physics engine is robust; bank shots and English (spin) behave predictably, which is the make-or-break factor for any billiards sim.
The 'Sharks' themselves are a cast of colorful characters with varying skill levels. Defeating them earns you progress and bragging rights. While the graphics might feel a bit dated compared to modern photorealistic titles, the gameplay holds up remarkably well. The touch-to-aim interface is sensitive but accurate, and the power meter for the cue is easy to master. It’s a solid, reliable pool game that doesn't overcomplicate things with power-ups or 'magic' cues.
Realistic 3D physics engine
Four distinct AI characters
8-Ball and 9-Ball game modes
Customizable table and room settings
Tap the cue ball icon to apply 'English'. Hitting the top of the ball will give it follow-through, while hitting the bottom will draw the ball back after impact.
Swipe left or right to rotate around the table. Once lined up, pull back on the cue stick icon and release to strike the cue ball.
No, currently the game features standard 8-ball and 9-ball regulations.
It’s a fun game but in 9 ball which I mostly play; the cue ball scratches so much. Other than that it’s a fun game.
This pool app really works great, it’s my all time favorite! Just point the cue, pull back on the cue stick and let go. Doesn’t get any better than this, thanks for a job Well Done! Just make sure your iPhone’s mute switch is set to OFF and your volume is turned up. Enjoy!
Much better than the small version on the iPhone. The aiming does not work the same with the icons on....? Why?
Great stress reliever!
If you have to ask what game I play the most, it's this one. Clear & Simple. I love all the changes made. Finally the computer gives you great chances to win. The last version had to be copied after Minnesota Fats (Go watch the 4 Star Movie w Paul Neuman & Jackie Gleason, one truly iconic movie. My only complaint: Get rid of the broad. I want real pool, & who needs eye candy? Otherwise, there's no other pool game on any software comparable to this polished diamond. This is the Minnesota Fats of all computer pool games. Really, No Contest.
I have this app on my phone and love it. Absolutely perfect physics! The iPad version however looks like the phone version just enlarged, not optimized for the larger screen. The edge of the balls are very 'pixley' meaning square edges. Don't list it as iPad ready when it's not! Also: you should be able to turn the 'help' guide off when in practice mode. It's not very meaningful practice when your shown exactly where to shoot.
I purchased a few pool games for the iPad awhile back. I rate this as 2 stars because the balls don't.look perfectly round close up and the controls need a lot of improvement. There are better pool games out there.
The bad thing about this game is you expect to play a good match of pool but the first time you miss the opponent doesnt miss a shot. They shouldnt be so hard. The game eventually gets boring cause they have the ball and they are going to win for sure.
