• Lunar New Year theme update
Undercover is an absolute essential for anyone who loves social deduction games like Mafia or Werewolf but wants something that doesn't require a dedicated moderator. The brilliance of the game lies in its simplicity: everyone receives a secret word, but one or two people have a slightly different word, and one person (Mr. White) has no word at all. The ensuing debates over seemingly innocent descriptions are where the real magic happens.
What makes this app stand out is how it facilitates real-world interaction. You aren't staring at your screen the whole time; you're looking at your friends, analyzing their facial expressions, and trying to spot the 'Undercover' before they realize they are the odd one out. It’s incredibly polished, easy to pick up in under a minute, and provides endless hilarity as people try to justify why their clue for 'Coffee' was 'Bitter' while everyone else had 'Tea'. It is one of the few party games that scales perfectly from a small group of three to a massive party of twenty.
Local multiplayer for 3-20 players
No internet connection required to play
Regularly updated word packs
Dynamic roles including Mr. White and Undercover
If you are a Citizen, try to give a clue that is specific enough for other Citizens to recognize, but vague enough that Mr. White can't guess your secret word. If you are Mr. White, listen carefully and mirror the 'vibe' of the clues given before you.
After each round of clues, the group discusses and votes on who to eliminate. Use logic to see whose clue was the outlier. If you eliminate the Undercover or Mr. White, the Citizens win!
No, only one person needs the app. You simply pass the phone around so everyone can see their secret role.
This is a very good game to play with family although it probably does require at least five people playing. Also when you play online I would suggest having people on video call at the same time so that you can see their reactions.
The best family game if you dont want you’re kids on their phone but want them to think they are on their phone
It is a very cool game because i have an hour long bus ride so me and my friends play it on the bus and i love hiw it is offline but the thing that i do not like about it that u can run out of words and u wont be able to play the game anymore but other than that is is a great game
Played with my students and they loved it! It’s a great app for sharing with my friends too. I really miss the time when I used to hang out with friends in China and just play 桌游. One thing I wonder: is there a way to remove ads after one round of game ends? Thanks!
The game is good and fun for people who love word games. But even though their aren’t a lot of ads, there is a ad between each online game.
This app is disgusting. It allows so many users to use racist and sexist comments in the comment section. You have no ability to block users as they hurl insults and racism for no reason. Their are even users with racist terms in their profile names. Do a better job at monitoring your comment section/profiles or turn commenting off! I’ve never been so offended/disgusted in my life.
Good, fun, game for large or small groups. Hard to get some people to understand they MIGHT be the undercover, and stop them from pointing out how “wrong” everyone else is. That’s a good way to get yourself voted out.
So I had to delete this game because people kept swearing in the chat. There should be a filter in settings to turn it into asterisks. Great game though.
