Use powerful boosters like bombs and lightning bolts to climb the global leaderboards.

Our Expert Score

81/100

Triple Match City takes the classic 'match-three' formula and adds a vibrant 3D twist that feels incredibly satisfying. Instead of a flat grid, you are looking through piles of intricately designed 3D objects, which adds a 'hidden object' layer to the gameplay. Identifying items from different angles and clearing the board before time runs out provides a great mental workout.

With over 10,000 levels, the game is massive. The difficulty spikes are well-placed, often introducing obstacles that force you to use power-ups like lightning bolts and bombs strategically. The 3D animations are fluid, and the 'city' theme gives it a modern, bustling feel. It's a highly polished puzzle experience that stands out in a crowded genre.

Amazing, but..

This is a fantastic game, but there are too many levels that cannot be passed without a purchase. I have spent a small fortune on this game, one because I can afford it, but it’s redundant at this point because I am blowing money away on something that is useless and that I can’t justify. I’m better off buying a few lottery tickets. Again, if you guys make it a little easier with simply a little more time to pass, I would continue to purchase, but it’s literally every other game that you have to buy coins or a pack to get past the level and that’s not OK. It’s highly addictive, it relaxes me and I don’t mind fiscally supporting, but it’s not going to continue. Having a good challenge is always fun and that’s fine but having to constantly spend so much money just to play a game is not so much fun. I hope you’ll make some adjustments and hear everyone’s truthful comments. I’ve noticed it’s not just mine. There’s consistency here. You have people who are willing to support you and your app, how about giving us a little support thank you.

Love the game but they have finally made it too hard for me to play.

If the goal was to force players to quit they get five stars. I really want to play, but the items kept getting smaller and smaller with updates and they finally made the items on most boards so small on my IPad that I can’t see them even with my new reading glasses. The items are so packed in my fat fingers end up touching too many items at the same time causing instant failure. When I zoom in to try and see the items I lose the bigger picture needed to find the required sets of three. The game can be really fun and the graphics are beautiful, but they will often throw one impossible board after another at you that can’t be cleared without boosts or extra time. Earning boosts and time for free requires repeating previous boards over and over again. You need to repeat a previous board 6 times to earn one random boost to use on a new board and as many as 60 TIMES to earn enough coins for just 1 extra minute for a board. Very often you waste hours trying to get past a frustrating board, and then you get hit with another one, and then other one…Take my advice…If you buy coins and/or boosts they don’t last long, there is very little value for the money and buying your way through a board is a waste if the next on is just as bad. Pity.

Spent a lot of money towards game, issues with leveling up, not seeing ads & unresponsive developers

Love this game but have spent over $80 to play. Completed levels (using coins for extra time) and on a couple of occasions I was not able to level up. Reached out to developers and they asked some questions and said it could be a bug. I provided screenshots where I completed the level and have asked for a reimbursement or some type of compensation for all the money I’ve spent and the coins/items used to level up and it’s been over two weeks since hearing back from them. I don’t get any ads to get any incentives. I refuse to spend anymore money on the game when I completed a level a couple of times using coins/items and the game didn’t level up. The developers see to be more than happy to hear my case and tell me it was due to a “possible bug” and take the money I’ve spent on the game. Yet, refuse to email me back concerning fixing the issue with compensation of some kind due to the “possible bug” that didn’t allow me to level up. NOT happy with the developers lack of communication!! Wouldn’t recommend spending a cent on this game. Wouldn’t recommend this game; developers don’t care and do not follow up on communications.

Addicted yes. Broke, also yes

This game is so much fun, it’s addicting. Problem is that unless someone gives you a life, you have to wait every 30 minutes to get one. Only other option is to purchase. And I think they should up total number of lives. You max out at 5. Also one of the mini games is inconsistent. There are 2 mini games. One in which you can play with zero lives but if you have any lives, watch out! It takes one of your lives if you have any, even though a life is not required to play. Not sure how that works?! I have spent literally hundreds of $ on this app. And Apple does this weird thing where they don’t charge you up front for the purchases. It basically keeps a tab of your charges then at some point, charges that total. It was confusing at first. I’ve tried others to avoid spending so much money but they just don’t measure up. Sometimes I can talk myself into having patience and waiting for lives. I bet the creator of this game is rich, probably just off of me!

Repeat levels

I used to love this game and have been playing for a while now but for the last few months they rarely update it and I’ve been playing the same boring levels over and over again. When they updated and added new levels in the past it would let me play the newer levels (like under the sea one, Vikings one and the Alice in wonderland ones for example) but I haven’t gotten to play any of those in about 6 months. It takes forever for them to update now too and for what just 2 black and white levels and 2 special lands every 2 months or so. Also when I first started playing, it used to store all your extra lives you win and you could use them when you needed them, like they were in a vault (I had well over 200 extra lives at one point), but I guess they changed it because people didn’t need to spend as much money then 🙄. Now I don’t win any lives because it said mine is full. I paid for the no ads option when I started playing (which was well worth it btw) but I’m not going to spend anymore money until they actually update the regular levels.

Enjoyable but no ad options to move forward

Well - I waited awhile to comment because I keep thinking I am overlooking something. This is a fun game - could be quite addictive - but there is no option to watch ads instead of constantly paying cash to buy game lives and tokens. I read other comments here and some people seem to have the option to watch ads in this game. I truly have no option for ads in the version I have. I am up around level 150 so the game is getting harder and I rarely move ahead on one or two tries anymore - which is normally a fun and challenging part of moving ahead in a game. I have made two purchases in the last month which is pretty decent for most games. So if some people do have ad watching options and I don’t then I am assuming if you make a purchase early on then you are put on a “no ad” track in the hopes you will presumably buy more and more. This seems heavy-handed and I won’t buy any more at all. Time to move on.

WARNING: Do NOT pay for the “No Ad” option

I’ve never seen a game penalize you for paying to remove ads. Once you do, you will LOSE the option to watch an ad to gain more time. Once you get to a certain level, it is impossible to complete any of them in the allotted time. Before I paid to remove ads, you could CHOOSE to watch an ad to get a time bonus. I thought the charge was just to remove the ads that were shown after completing every level and yes, those were very annoying. But now it is infuriating how impossible the levels are, the only way to advance is to use coins to buy more time. I’m not shelling out more money to buy coins or time bonuses. Also, there are so many bugs. Cannot gather some items no matter how many times you hit it. Sometimes the pencil stops working, and you have to use your finger before it magically works again. There is a lag on the hard levels where it takes a second to move the tapped item. Ridiculous. Deleting.

Love the game, not a fan of the app
Sun Feb 15 2026 Crammons73

I love the game itself and appreciate the different levels of challenge with the ability to earn rewards in easier levels to use in harder levels. The app itself, though, stalls out regularly mid-game or won’t load at all, or crashes all together, and I lose progress, rewards, etc. I won’t pay to play, so another drawback is after successfully playing and sitting through “30-second” ads (quotation marks are because ads often take much longer) during several levels of play, the ad button for more play time stops responding and forces the use of coins or pay to play. There’s also lag time during the game where the app freezes slightly while I’m tapping and then I’m waiting for it to start the timer again and it jumps the lost time. This also happens when I claim a reward for 15 minutes of infinite lives and the timer starts ticking but none of the buttons will respond to start a game. Disappointing because I really like playing when it works.
