Tower of Hanoi Pro is a digital adaptation of the world-famous logic puzzle. The objective is to move a stack of disks from the first peg to the third peg, following three simple rules: only one disk can be moved at a time, each move consists of taking the upper disk from one of the stacks and placing it on top of another stack, and no disk may be placed on top of a smaller disk. With adjustable difficulty levels and elegant 3D graphics, this 'Pro' version is the perfect mental workout for all ages.

Our Expert Score

70/100

Tower of Hanoi Pro is a clean, no-nonsense implementation of the classic mathematical puzzle. For those who enjoy testing their logical thinking and planning, this is a perfect digital version. The app focuses on the 'Pro' experience, meaning it cuts out the fluff and provides a smooth, responsive interface where you can easily drag and drop the disks. The inclusion of various disk counts (from 3 to 10) allows you to scale the difficulty from a quick warm-up to a 1,023-move marathon.

The game tracks your moves and time, encouraging you to reach the 'optimal' number of moves (calculated as 2^n - 1). While it's a simple concept, the execution is flawless. The graphics are sharp, and the background music is unobtrusive, allowing for deep concentration. It’s an essential app for puzzle purists and anyone looking to sharpen their spatial reasoning skills without the distraction of ads or power-ups.

Do yourself a favor an get HANOI instead. I'm all for making money but a free app should be just that and not disguised as a way to get you to go outside the confines of the Apple environment to get you to pay for additional features. If they are going to redirect they should have free or lite in the title. The worst part of this version of Hanoi Tower is that the disks look like a Disney cartoon and they do not move as you drag them to a pole to place them. It's almost 2012 and this is goofy that it can't be accomplished by the developer. Just get the free app simply title Hanoi. It's much better. This is garbage and costs too much even if it is free. I wouldn't keep it if they paid me the $0.99.

Very bad interface

This app doesn't even feel like you're using an iPhone. It's really bad. The interface is not nice, but the worst thing is the response. It's slow. It doesn't respond. You move a disk and you have to wait a little to see if it understood what you meant. Usually doesn't. The experience is really bad. Feels like a bad java game. To make it worse, you can only practice it. "Competing" and sending your score to the rankings, requires paying. Or training over and over until you collect enought coins. There are many other (free!) Hanoi alternatives out there, skip this one.

Works great

Just installed to try to stimulate my brain. Disguised free app with ads that covers the play area of the screen making it necessary to click on the ads. Horrible do not support them.
