The Baby In Yellow is an absolute masterclass in indie horror. It takes a mundane, relatable task—babysitting—and slowly twists it into a surreal, terrifying nightmare. What makes this game stand out is its balance of dark humor and genuine dread. The physics of the baby are hilarious and unsettling at the same time; watching the infant levitate or vanish into thin air while you're just trying to find a fresh bottle creates a unique kind of tension.
The environmental storytelling is superb, with the apartment changing subtly around you as you uncover the mystery of who (or what) this baby actually is. The 'Black Cat' updates added significantly more depth to the game, providing more elaborate puzzles and a broader scope. If the baby disappears, check the most unlikely places first—like the top of the refrigerator or behind the locked nursery door. Always keep a bottle nearby; feeding him is the only way to reset his aggression levels temporarily.

Sun Jan 26 2025 TheAxoIdiotI got this game after I saw it on the app store around 2 days ago and I got a lot of achievements on that day too. If you look at the the achievements, free all the souls, and can deal with buggy gameplay, you can DEFINITELY do a 100% on this game on mobile. One of the secrets that you can unlock has it to where it’s visuals are low quality (On purpose) wich is pretty cool, but it would be a bit funnier if the sound was also 8-bit. Like I’ve mentioned throughout this review, the game is buggy/glitchy at times and there are a lot of ads here and then. I understand why there are ads, but the placements are crazy! Here’s the placements; Boot up the game, after act 1 scene 1, after act 1 scene 2, after act 1 scene 3, after completing the sheep ending, after the- OKAY YOU GET IT! WE WOULD BE HERE FOR A WHILE IF I TYPED EVERY SINGLE AD POINT! Honestly, where the ads come in need to be removed/put to different points! Like when you boot up the game, it should be removed. After you get the baby changed is where an ad should be, and remove the act 1 scene 1 ad. (Act 1 scene 1 is VERY short) Also, the Christmas chapter is pretty good! But I think people have TOO much freedom with it. I say that because I was able to ad a p#### to the snowman. And that’s basically it. If the devs are reading this, please bring N.E.W.T back to life! I miss him! Also, the only reason why you got 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the buggy-ness of the game, and because of the ad placements.

Mon Sep 25 2023 kitsune fox catI finished the CAT chapter, and at the end it said more was to come… are you making the new update as I type or in search of ideas…? If so I have some to share along with a few questions that may be a little hard to answer… 1. I saw that the White Rabbit escaped in this next update maybe you could include her she could be a helper along side the Cat… 2. In the end of the CAT chapter I saw multiple babies… does this mean the Asylum will be taken over? And what will the Doctor do about it? 3. Is the doctor included in your next chapter? Could he be the type to judge you in everything you do wrong because he is still mad about you unleashing the baby again? 4. I would like to see what happened to the child’s parents and how he became evil like his past memories and such…5. Is it possible that the Sheep could be saved from the child’s dreams? 6. Could we potentially give the Cat a name, I mean it would sound better than just calling it Cat… 7. Could the baby be purified some how or give up his evil ways? 8. It did mention in the Story books that we read to the he was a prince… if so maybe the next chapter could take place in his very Castle… will the parents be there waiting for us? Excellent Game- Ads Force Level Restart
Sat Oct 14 2023 KageDanzaThis game is an absolute blast. Top notch for a mobile game, and I plan to pay for the ad free version even if just to support the company, whether I decide to replay or not. I really like the change of pace from level to level, and the mixture of silly and spooky elements. Things get intense enough at times to give me that little horror game rush, but I don’t necessarily want to be petrified on my breaks while working nights. The fact that you can slow down and stay at your own pace on most chapters is fantastic. The puzzles are simple enough that I can run through the story casually, but they’re creative and fun to work out. The only issue I’ve been having consistently is that oftentimes when I go to a different tab on my phone, when I come back to the game it’s frozen and I can’t move. It forces me to restart the level or go to the last major checkpoint, which is pretty irritating considering the fact that mobile ads nowadays frequently force open the App Store no matter what you do. Again, I’ll likely be paying to remove ads regardless, but it really messes with my immersion in an otherwise enjoyable game. Some apps go way overboard with the ads, but this one is pretty solid, so it’s frustrating that when I do get them they interrupt the play in such a big way.

Fri Mar 01 2024 10666637839383847When I started playing I knew it was the game for me and there was one sad part that made me cry but the rest is funny and scary I got a few jump scares when playing this game honestly you need to try it out it is really good it takes a little while to finish the game but so fun and funny and it’s like a story kinda will that’s my opinion and yes this game is the best you need to try it and really this will be the only game you will only want to play so you can finish it so try it now it is completely free will you can get it free just not in the game but it’s free to play and there are cool skins to try out to so u should check that out to and this game is the best horror game and one of the greatest of horror like the baby no other games have a horror baby game like this they may do but not like this. I downloaded this game again in the car on February 3rd, 2024??- When on my way to Disney🏰. I almost completed it but I didn’t, when I got to Disney🏰 I kept playing and at some point I finished!! I finished it again today .A.K.A. March 9th, 2024 and I really love this game!! I can’t wait to see if there will be more parts I really hope there is! I hope you can add a part where we fix newt again because when newt died I always almost cry, I also think you should add more cat souls that we unlock to get more secrets! Another thing is, I think you should add a game called “The Baby(S) In Yellow 2” and in that game it’s basically the same as The Baby In Yellow but there is the Original baby in yellow/the main yellow baby/the demon/ the king?? But there is also a pink baby which is the baby in yellows sister! Again, when I say I love this game picture a girl with curly long brown hair screaming, running, and jumping around saying “I LOVE THE BABY IN YELLOW” when I say I love the baby in yellow I mean ι ℓσνє тнє вαву ιη уєℓℓσωωωωωωω!! >:) but yeah!! Was it a bad idea to save newt? Can we fix him? 2. At the end of the chapter. We saw the doctor. Will he be in the next few chapters? Will we see his real face? 3. When you updated the game, (crown childcare) What caused the baby to be like this? Why did the parents say to put talismens on the baby? Why did we have to pacify the baby? 4: With the ??? In the toy box, (the glowing eye) When you pick up the eye up 3 times, it says somthing about carcosas. What does that mean? The evil side of the baby? That’s all for now. I missed him sooo much! (And his cute little Santa hat ofc,) but yeah! 3. On Revelation, there is so much to it. SPOILERS‼️BUGS
Mon Jun 20 2022 pqacornOk so I first found this game when Gloom released a video on it, been obsessed ever since. Recently decided to download the Mobile port. Ok, I’ll start off with bugs then move on to theories. So I was playing chapter 3 (bedtime story update) and decided to put the sheep plushie in early. When it was actually time to get the correct plushie and put it in the bin, it had disappeared. Had to restart the whole chapter. The next bug is when you drop a key next to a locked door. It’s impossible to pick up which forces you to restart the whole chapter. There’s a bug where Baby sometimes does not leave the closet in chapter 3. Finally, sometimes when you’re moving and an ad plays, you get stuck moving in that direction and can’t change it. If you press pause while this occurs, the whole game just freezes. You have to completely reopen the app just for it to work again. Next, I’ll say my main theory. Chapters 1-3, you play the sheep, as you do not escape Hastur, and eventually get swallowed into a dark abyss. In chapter 1, Pickman, and Exit, you play the rabbit, for obvious reasons, you’re vulnerable and weak yet manage to escape after running around with Baby chasing you. There’s also the clear indicator of the ‘white rabbit’ helping you through. In the next major update, The Black Cat, we’re gonna, well, play the cat. I suspect this will be the final major game update. In this ending, we’re most likely going to attempt to calm Hastur’s demonic soul by bringing him somewhere peaceful. He will either act as the book predicts, and lash out destroying everything, or we’ll finally wash away the evil from him for good. I have more theories if y’all wanna hear them :)
Best horror game ever!!! (Pls read)
Sat Jun 25 2022 Mr.lenney( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)lenneyI’m not saying it’s a horror game, more like a… very fun baby game, the jump scares are suppose to be funny but after a while you get used to it, “TT”(Team terrible) should probaly add some more things like “quest” or “achievements” so that way you could play the game for longer. After you beat the game there’s not much to do besides find easer eggs, bugs, souls, or just do some speedruns. but sometimes you run out of bugs or souls and sometimes even Easter eggs to find and then all you can do is speedrun. But most of the mobile community is very bad at this game and can’t even beat the game in less than 15 minutes. so there needs be something more you can do like quest or achievements. For example 1 quest could be “Put the baby in the toilet” and you could earn these rewards you could use to buy maybe some skins like a bee suit or a Santa suit or anything else! and maybe just maybe a no adds button thst can be bought with those quest rewards. An example for ah I mentes could be “get 1000 hoops in less than 10 minutes!” Or “get 10 hoops in 1m” and this could be a game that rewards those G things you can find on the Xbox app, I think there galled gamer points I dont know.
