Swordy Quest is a refreshing take on the RPG genre, leaning heavily into a minimalist, 'lo-fi' aesthetic that prioritizes gameplay over flashy graphics. It’s an adventure that feels like a throwback to classic text-based RPGs but updated with tactile touch controls. The exploration is surprisingly open-ended, allowing you to wander through diverse biomes and discover secrets at your own pace.
The combat is simple to grasp but relies on a solid understanding of your gear and stats. It’s a 'quiet' game—perfect for playing while listening to a podcast or during a commute. While it may not have the cinematic scale of a AAA title, its charm lies in its atmosphere and the satisfying loop of looting and leveling up in a world that feels vast despite its simple presentation.
Massive open-world map
Minimalist, battery-friendly art style
Deep loot and equipment system
Atmospheric, non-linear storytelling
Don't ignore the smaller resources in the starting area. Building up a surplus of basic materials early will make crafting mid-game survival gear much easier.
Exploration consumes stamina. Keep an eye on your hunger and energy levels to avoid being caught in a boss fight with debuffs to your attack power.
There is a main questline to complete, but the game features post-game content and infinite exploration for dedicated players.
This game is fantastic, I especially love the attention paid to accessibility. I also love the attention to detail. And I love the gameplay overall. As this game has developed over the years, and I have played it. I love how the developers pay attention to the wants and desires of their players. Furthermore, I feel that this game is progressing quite well and development of content is very immersive the music, the sound effects ambience And the gameplay overall one thing I wish you could do and this is unfortunately a limitation of game center is like tell that you add everyone in your contacts that it can add to game center that would be nice but that’s not something the developers here can do anything about however I do like that it does use game center and if there are achievements available, I hope to see myself unlock all of them eventually and as I keep playing, this game keeps getting better and better more features and the game developers are even more engaged with the community overall
This app is amazing and everything else about it. It’s pretty cool, also I have one request during the GIF boxes that we get daily I think is good for us to have maybe more than one and two gems because we’ve been playing it for so long that we should be getting maybe roughly about 3 to 7 gems a day or a week. That could be a nice change. Plus, another thing I want to mention that the app starts to slow down and sort of become buggy on my devices, and the other thing I want to mention is that whenever you are in a battle, Z mound attack button does not work correctly with voiceover when VoiceOver is active the attack button will not allow voiceover to click. The workaround is to turn off VoiceOver and play the button or triple click it to activate. Just want to mention that issue anything but that it’s pretty fun but I feel like we’re getting different kinds of foods and maybe add some fruits as well such as strawberries or grapes to gather as well, that could be a lot of fun. But anything like that that’s pretty much it.
Wow! I’ve played a lot of role playing games in my time, but never have I played one quite like this. The fact that there is sound effects, music, and the fact that it can be played by everyone is awesome. Thank you for putting VoiceOver accessibility. The last game in the Lifeline series was not voiceover accessible. The one called Whiteout. The rest of them were, but the last one was not. This one is completely accessible, and can be played with or without voiceover. Holding down the things together them is easy. Hunting is also easily done. I love this game. The music is beautiful. I happen to be a musician myself, so when it comes to music like this, I like it. The gameplay is easy, and it’s easy to concentrate with the music going in the background. The music itself is actually quite soothing. It makes you feel as though you’re in a far away place and you can go there very easily in your mind when opening the app. This is a piece of true interactive fiction.
This is the most accessible role-playing game I’ve played in a long time. personally speaking my favorite thing about this game is it is playable with voiceover which I believe is great because, it opens this amazing world up to people who are visually impaired or, who are completely blind. not only that, the VoiceOver feature allows this game to be played by anyone and, the music and sound effects are great. Plus, it is completely free with no pay to win mechanics at all. The information is presented in plain language which makes it easy to understand, and, the audio cues are well done. And closing, I would like to give a shout out to the developers for putting the VoiceOver feature in the game and making it fully accessible for everyone. I wish more developers would consider the VoiceOver feature for their games to make more great games accessible to everyone like this one.
This is a wonderful game. I’ve only had it for about a couple of days now and I’ve been scarcely addicted to it. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is the fact that you have to actually buy hints in order to understand fully what to do. I think that buying hints is tedious and unnecessary and does not serve the name of this company well. Only someone who is truly desperate would offer that kind of purchase. And you’re not like that, in fact, you’re much much much better than that. Besides, there’s already a purchase to remove ads and the gem shop, where you could buy gems. So really I think there should be hints all throughout the gameplay. Another point that I have is I have two devices and I downloaded the game on one of them and reached level 17. When I downloaded it from my other device, it started me all over again even though I’m in the same game center account that I downloaded it before. I searched all over the forms in apple-viz and still couldn’t find my answer. Please provide a solution
This could be a really good game to play if they could get rid of the glitches. I downloaded this game on the recommendation of a friend and there were so many glitches it made it irritating to try to play. I would try to go into the craft tab and it would throw me back into the action center. I would try to fight a demon and it would throw me out of the fight. After purchasing a gym pack in order to purchase some items I thought might help with this issue. I still got little satisfaction. I had to continuously close the app and reopen. I did delete the app and reload. It does work a bit better however I’m not only lost the gyms. I had paid money to purchase, but I am still running into glitches. Not as many as before, but still glitches in the middle of fighting the shark for example, it will not permit me to go to inventory and eat. Then, of course the shark kills me and takes one of my items. This happens quite a bit in the middle of fights. It tells you you can go to inventory to eat during a fight, but you really can’t most times. Again what Lytle I’ve been able to play has been fine. It will be a really great game at the glitches could be worked out of the system.
I am 100% addicted to this game. I don’t have Harley any games that I enjoy the way I enjoy this one. Most importantly it’s accessible for the blind. It is so hard to find games that are 100% accessible. The only thing that keeps me from giving, this app, a full five star rating is that some more explanation could be used for where to find certain materials. These would be like obsidian or eyes of Argus. I had to Google some of these and I still haven’t found some of them yet. The other thing is it would be awesome if there was a way you can join a community without having to do it on Facebook. some other way would be great. I really don’t use social media at all. I have no social media accounts I’m not into that sort of thing. If there was a way you can link a community into the game so others can talk and ask questions among themselves throughout the game would be great. Just some feedback for thought. Otherwise to all the people who have created this game, wonderful job I give you all kudos.
I really love this game at first I did not like it because I did not know how to play it but now I love it and I hate that I cannot beat the snows queen. Oh, but I’m noticing is that I want to know how to get it achievement crystals more quicker, I think that maybe the developer should do is like making like a voice chat or something or be online with players that are not in game center like and make your own team like I know there’s the clans like create a team with the other players and leg ask for help or chat while playing the game and I would also like for you like to create your own Web brands or have the ability to create something and I think it would be really, really really really but really awesome now that I’ve advanced More that they should that you guys should add a fourth world or fourth world making this game more interesting
