Superior Solitaire is a high-quality and very clean implementation of the world's most popular card game. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it polishes it to a mirror shine. The interface is the standout feature here—it’s uncluttered, responsive, and features large, easy-to-read cards that make it a pleasure to play on even smaller mobile screens.
The game includes several variations of Solitaire, including Klondike, Spider, and FreeCell, which provides a nice bit of variety. I particularly appreciated the 'Winning Deals' mode, which ensures that every game you play is mathematically solvable—a great feature for when you just want a relaxing win. While the market is flooded with Solitaire apps, this one stands out for its reliability and its focus on a premium user experience without the usual mobile bloat. It’s an honest, well-built classic.
Multiple Solitaire variants in one app
Guaranteed solvable 'Winning Deals'
Beautiful, customizable card backs and backgrounds
Intuitive and responsive touch controls
Always prioritize moving cards that uncover hidden face-down cards in the tableau. Freeing up a column should be your secondary goal, as an empty space is only useful if you have a King ready to fill it.
In Spider Solitaire, focus on building complete sequences in a single suit even if it means leaving other columns messy for a few turns. A complete sequence of 13 cards is the only way to clear space and win the game.
Yes, every day a new unique puzzle is released that rewards you with a trophy upon completion.
Played this a lot but I don’t think the “all games winnable” is true. I’ve tried replay and find it frustrating. I wish I could turn off all statistics. I don’t need to see how many times I lost a “winnable” game.
Struggling with applications that showed ads, terrible resizing options on my desktop, I finally went to Reddit to search for how other people were getting around the awful applications available in the App Store. What I found instead were people talking about this incredible solitaire game. With lots of options, great play and many games THANK YOU for building a solid application.
This is the perfect choice if you want to just play the game and eliminate all the annoying extras on the free apps. Many thanks to the developer for adding an option to switch from left to right deals. Love it!!
Although I only play Klondike it has many many more card games to play. It is easy to set up and configure to your liking.
Solid update!
Great on iPhone! Love no ads etc. Thanks!
