Suika Game+ is a masterclass in 'just one more try' gaming. What looks like a simple fruit-dropping clone is actually a deeply tactical physics puzzle that requires patience and foresight. The Apple Arcade version is a significant upgrade over the many imitators, offering much more consistent and fair physics that actually allow for high-level strategy.
The addition of a horizontal mode is a game-changer for iPad users. It allows for much more precise fruit placement using arrows, which feels more reliable than the standard touch-drag. The 'jaunty' music and the cute animations of the fruits as they squash together create a cheerful atmosphere that keeps the frustration of a near-miss at bay.
While the concept is undeniably basic, the execution is flawless. There are no ads, no pay-to-win mechanics, and the leaderboards are filled with legitimate players.
