Suika Game, often called the 'Watermelon Game,' is a masterclass in 'just one more round' game design. What started as a Nintendo Switch viral sensation has finally landed in its official form on iOS, and the transition is flawless. The core loop is deceptively simple: drop fruits into a container and merge identical ones to evolve them from tiny cherries all the way up to a massive watermelon.

However, physics is your greatest enemy and best friend. The way a strawberry rolls off a grape or a heavy pineapple crushes smaller fruit creates a chaotic, unpredictable environment. The official Aladdin X version maintains the charm and precise physics that clones often miss. It’s colorful, relaxing, and incredibly frustrating in the best possible way when a rogue melon bounces out of the container. Don't just drop fruits in the center. Use the 'push' of a new fruit to nudge existing ones together. Remember that larger fruits have more weight and can cause smaller ones to fly out of the box if you aren't careful.

Every time I open the app it asks to log in. Please make this an automatic feature where it logs in through Game Center. It’s so annoying having to log in and use Face ID every time I open the app. Every other game now a days has the Game Center automatic log in. Please please please fix this.

This game is great. It has that easy to pick, but hard to put down hook that few games can boast. Think Balatro or Tetris. I have seen some reviews on this shop that complain about how it’s unfair that sometimes the fruit will pop out when you combine them, and end the game as if this was unfair or a fault in the game. It isn’t unfair. The fruit has certain predictable movements when it combines, and the player has to keep that in mind when playing. One of those movements is that they bounce around a bit when they combine. Sometimes they bounce out of the play area. Games have rules and structure. You need to understand how to operate within the parameters of a game to succeed at it. That’s literally what a game is. Casual game doesn’t mean it’s not a game with rules, rewards and penalties.

Lose when you win?

3 stars because I love this game and play it to wake up every morning. However, it’s so incredibly frustrating that if the fruit are merging and in the process one gets pushed out, you automatically lose. Completely understand if you fill up the box on your own, just like Tetris you should lose. But if you’re 2/3rd of the way full and the fruits are merging, one shooting out of the top on its own shouldn’t make you lose.

Need the Halloween update

I wanted to play the Halloween update. I’ve seen many people playing it. I’ve tried to see if it was there unfortunately it was not. I checked on my switch to see if it was there. It wasn’t. I never played the Halloween update, but I have on a different game that looked exactly the same as this one so I really want the Halloween update and don’t even think I forgot about the rest, and it’s the same thing I tried to look for it in here. It’s not I looked in the switch it’s not there so please fix this

Glitch ruins it

I play this on the Nintendo switch all the time so I was excited when I saw the app on my phone 10 minutes ago. It was half full and 2 fruits merged to make a pineapple at the bottom and an apple flew up and it said game over! Never had this happen on the switch and it totally killed the whole thing for me. Please fix this as that's not okay!! Literally my first game with the app and it did that and now I feel like I wasted $2.99 because who wants to play something that can glitch and game over?!

Latest Update Even Worse

Each update makes this great game worse. Update before this pops up a login every time instead of using Game Center and even if you don't want to login, it is still there. Latest update is much slower and now even if you background music off, it still plays it and you have to go into settings and turn it on and off again to get it to go away. Classic example of making something great worse by screwing with it. Was good fun, now almost not worth starting.

I love this game, it is amazingly fun and addicting, I play it all the time and it has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time! And the best part is that this is the real official one. If you are looking for the real Suika game for iPhone like I was, then you need look no further!

I agree with the other reviewers that it isn’t fair that I lose the game because the fruits are in the process of merging. I would understand if the box itself was completely full and the fruit goes over the line. But I end up losing even when the box is almost totally empty. The fruit merges with other fruit and gets launched over the line. I’ve stopped playing because it’s too frustrating.
