Super Chex Bubble Hockey for Your iOS Device

As a kid I was a huge fan of the dome hockey game at arcades. The real deal tables cost about $3000 and at the moment that is just way out of my price range. Luckily, I came across this app when searching for air hockey games. I was a little concerned that this game hadn't been updated in quite some time but on my iPad 4 with iOS 9 it works fine. Well worth the two dollars for admission. Now obviously the real table has better controls than a touchscreen device but you get the hang of it after a while. The physics feel realistic. The sounds are nice and I love the instant replay future. I'm looking forward to playing this on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with someone else. This is a very well-designed and well thought out video game. I definitely recommend it if you were a fan of the real thing at the arcade.

This game absolutely nails the basics of bubble hockey- there isn't much like it, and if you have ever played bubble hockey in your life, you owe it to your childhood to immediately buy and play this game. The physics are fairly accurate, and you will be surprised that a lot of (but not all) of your old, unused bubble hockey skills translate over to this wonderful little game. The ability to add custom teams (which you'll probably add NHL teams using) is just icing on the cake. There are some drawbacks however- you can't really move the puck with players as quickly as in real life without losing the puck, you can't easily handle the puck as in real bubble hockey, and the spinning to hit shots is wildly inconsistent- sometimes you'll hit your sweet spot and rocket a shot home far side- other times that same shot will go wide, or even travel at half the speed for no reason. Still, with a tournament mode and multiplayer, if you have ever played bubble hockey, you absolutely need to give this addictive little gem a shot.

Don’t expect an update

I have e-mailed stinger games to inquire as to whether there will ever be another update for this game. No response. Going on almost 6 years without any improvements. Inexcusable I noticed in the reviews I am not the only one with a stats issue for the ipad in terms of no stats being shown, just gray lines The game worked fine on my iPhone 12 I was due for an upgrade after a few years and went to the 15 Pro. Sure enough the game has a glitchy screen and is basically unusable since it’s hard to see For the people who have posted about difficult controls, I get it. But once I practiced enough. I got the hang of it They need to read their reviews - positive and negative - to get a feel for what their customers /fans of the game want I want to give this app 5 stars again, but until improvements are made for US the customers/fans, I will not Have a safe and happy holidays everyone!

For a game that hasn't had an update since March 2013 this is one of the most solid apps I have ever had throughout the years. I play it almost everyday. Controls really embrace the touch screen abilities (you should clean your screen every now and again to get a better grip). I know it is International Hockey but I would like to have a Season mode, a real shootout mode (were we can control the goalie) and for the teams to have skill levels. Also would be nice to pick a set position and have AI help, The option to switch sides and a customize mode so we can place players where we want (not important just would be cool)

Please update it to make the game play more like the (Canada Table Hockey Game) I play that one more often because the game plays better.. i Still love this game bcuz i can make my own team but i feel it needs a little touch up on the players movement and the little player movement assists like Canada hockey game has would make it very very helpful and would make this game alot better to play.. and please offer better camara views the views that it offers now make the game meh aggravating to play..

I don't want to be one of those people that causes a game to go off the App Store just because it is too hard for me (referring to flappy bird) but I just think the controls are too hard. I can't score a goal, let alone have control of the puck, because my person is just spinning in circles a as he moves along the track. The controls are way to sensitive. Either make the controls less sensitive, or have a button that controls where he moves on the track and another that controls the way he spins. Please fix this!!!!!!!

I first played this game in 2010 on my iPod touch. I last played it today on my iPhone 6s. It's one of a very few games that has been present on every device as I've upgraded and switched since 2010. I think the controls are so well done for a touchscreen rod hockey game. And I basically never get tired of this game. Highly recommended.

So much potential for this game

I love this game. I got it back in 2010 and it was the coolest game ever and still makes its way onto every one of my iPhones. Now it's outdated. The hard level is not nearly hard enough and I continue to win every game even with a manual goalie. The tournament mode could be more advanced. The stats could be improved as well. Hockey stats don't separate regular wins from OT wins. The whole app can just be more technically advanced. Perhaps creating a league.
