The 'tasks' are mundane enough to create a false sense of security, which only makes the sudden betrayal of a friend feel more impactful. It’s less about the mini-games and entirely about the meta-game of lying and deduction.
Playing with friends over voice chat is the definitive experience, but the developers have done a great job updating the public lobby experience with better reporting tools and roles like the Scientist and Guardian Angel. It’s a game that thrives on human unpredictability, making it infinitely replayable. Whether you're a master manipulator or a diligent task-doer, the tension never truly fades.
